Infinity Pinball Update 1.2.4 “Quality of Life” series, episode 1 of 3.
We called in the game doctors, they checked Infinity Pinball. We present the first of three major updates, with the following new features:

- Introducing “One Hand Mode”! Available from the Settings or the Pause menu. Play the game with one hand controlling both flipper sides! Amazing!

- Always random, all the time! Yes that's right folks. Every time you start a new game, the table layout will be different from your last play-through. Rogue-Like-Pinball? It’s our most requested feature, and it’s here!

- More tables are now un-lockable with one ball. Before you had to amass a variety of balls to unlock these, what were we thinking?! One ball will now unlock them, as it should be.

That concludes the features for episode 1. As always, thank you for playing.

Echopath,
Great Game! Wish You Could Die Easier
A very fun game, but I keep getting into a situation where I gain lives faster than I run into the risk of losing them, so when I reach a point where I’m struggling or when I need to close the app I have to quit out of the game and thus my new high score isn’t saved. Also it feels like there’s also a missing an inherent feeling of risk that gives you that adrenaline rush and feeling of accomplishment.

I know this review is mainly me harping on this one bit of the game, but I do really enjoy it! I love that its a one time purchase and I don’t have to worry about ads at all, it’s incredibly refreshing to see that nowadays. The aesthetics of the game are also extremely fun and I can’t wait to play more!
f.btk,
I don’t know, man
I've played a lot of different kinds of pinball video games, including more than a few games like this one here that sort of offer a Pac-man version of pinball, as opposed to "real" pinball. And I can honestly say that the gameplay here, in terms of the controls and the "physics" of the game are outstandingly good. Maybe they just got lucky, but it feels to me like a thing made by a person who actually cared about making something good. I mean sure the pixel art thing is so unimaginative you can't even really call it a choice anymore but at least it's a good version of that. So aesthetically it's like... pretty ok wallpaper. You know: not offensive or embarrassing, which seems rare enough these days. But here's the kicker: the way this "game" thinks that I value its "content" as a first time player is baffling to me. It would appear that every additional one level costs a dollar. 🤨 I did it once, because honestly if they had just released this as, you know, a whole game, with a pricetag, I would have bought it for more than that already. But instead they did the other thing, and they won't get another dollar from me.
Hayden Lovelace,
Major Potential.
The aesthetics in this game are truly great. At least the ones that are free that you don’t have to buy. And the game play is very smooth when the functions work properly. My two biggest gripes about this game are the random layouts of each new game, as some of these layouts cause bugs and other malfunctioning obstacles. And the constant penalties you may face when you advance to the next level. These penalties are the little bombs that take away your remaining hearts. These bombs make sense in the very first stage, but once you’ve advanced their frequency should be dialed down tenfold. And as you approach the boss, instead of being penalized for something out of your control, have the boss send something like a fire ball at your ball, which you have to block by using the paddles or the power ups/nearby obstacles.
Overall a great game other than the pay walls for different aesthetics and the overpenalization.

Infinitely Long, Infinitely Tedious
The game is fun for about five minutes before you realize that you’re hitting a lead ball with two styrofoam cups. Combined with a lack of aim mechanics and you have yourself the slowest pinball game you’ve ever played. You could call it “challenging” but I’d say that’s less about the skills of the player and more about how the flippers are too light to actually hit the ball where you want it to go. You know, a crucial facet of literally any pinball that exists.

I like the boss mechanic, though I wish there were any variation? You kinda lose the charm of it going on forever once you realize that all the bosses are exactly the same, just with different skins. What if the other tables had different functions unique to them?

Of course, it’s entirely possible that’s already the case. I wouldn’t know because I opted to avoid the grueling hours it would take to accumulate enough coins to *potentially* get a table which was likely functionally identical to the other two I had already unlocked.
shaneTheSloth07,
I’m amazed by this game
This is absolutely the best mobile game I have ever played, and it’s free! There aren’t too many ads and there is never a time when I feel pressured into watching one to continue or paying for a ball or skin. My main issues are that there is no quick restart option so you need to exit and restart every time you want to restart and during boss fights, due to the pixelated design, it sometimes seems like the ball should go in the areas to damage the boss when it ends up rolling out. This game is so impressive it deserves my first review.
Edit in response to the devs reply:
the reason I generally like to restart is when I lose a life or two early on so it becomes more worthwhile to restart
_Mr.Log_,
👍👍👍
I really enjoy the very Sega Genesis vibe this game gives off! The graphics are very cool and the gameplay is smooth and fun! There’s a small problem with this game though. I got a score of 608,000 on the retro wave theme, but I got stuck because I wanted to stop playing, but the statue that blocks the hole wouldn’t disappear. After a little while I just decided to quit out of the game. Please make quitting the game save your score! I’ve seen that the developers are very responsive so I hope you can make it so quitting the game through the pause menu will save your score!!! Other than this issue the game is very fun.
chrispetterson,
Maybe games just aren’t fun?
Is it me? I have this distinct memory of playing video and computer games wherein I am enjoying myself. I’m starting to suspect I have invented this memory, because this has done more than its fair share of work to disabuse me of that notion. It ought to be right up my alley. Except that from Minute One i’ve done nothing except curse under my breath, yell inarticulately, and repeatedly rap my phone against my own forehead as if knocking to see if any brains are home. Is this what fun is? Have i been misinformed? I assumed fun was when you smiled and laughed out loud and said things like “yay,” but maybe it’s actually when you vibrate with frustration so loudly your partner leaves the room and closes the door behind them. If this whole time, that’s what fun has been, then you guys nailed it.
tebown,
Could be fun but held back
I like the aesthetic a lot and once you get a feel for the physics it works fine, but there are land mines scattered seemingly everywhere that automatically take away a ball. It is a gimmick that is clearly designed to encourage you to purchase more coins to continue playing, or watch an ad. What this ends up doing is it reduces the amount of time you end up playing, and really hampers the flow.
What would be a better system, would be a having a counter that goes up every time you drop down a level, and every 3rd time you drop to a lower level, you lose a ball. This would increase the amount of time playing, and would actually encourage you to watch ads or buy coins to keep your score.
1 sad fan,
There’s a bug that ruined my best game
This is my second review for this game, since I’m not sure my first one actually got posted.
The bug happened when I entered the boss room on the cyber ball table it threw the ball up normally but then it just, fazed through the wall. It then kicked me out of the room and the ball kept fazing through the walls all the way until room 1. Where instead of killing me it just disappeared. This was very disheartening as until that point I had a high score of 109,500 and 2 extra lives. It happened on the boss room in room 40. If possible I would like to get that as my new high score but it’s ok if u can’t do that. Realy all I want is for the bug to get fixed because I can’t start a new game ( whenever I try it doesn’t zoom in to the game)
youstopher,
Game is good but impossible
The title of the game is infinity ball but how is it infinity of you can’t even get past the 5th level that’s how hard the game is, you shouldn’t have zappers in between levels that’s just wrong like it’s infinity so if the ball fall it keeps falling until getting back to level 1 then u day not getting zapped and losing a life so u r not only going down a level they are also punishing you by taking away a life that’s not fun or right. I am ready to buy more things on ur game like other balls and tables but if I can only get to level 5 in each table then I am that’s a waste of money, I already bought skins from u and the ad blocker. At this point I am questioning my purchases and trust me I won’t be getting more until u do something about zappers.
