Don’t download this app
That is not a tattoo designer app. You just use a template and move any buttons to change a little bit the designer that they give you. Don’t download this app, expensive for nothing.

It's ok, but has potential
This app is just ok. Definitely not worth $4.99- that was a rip off. When you put tattoo generator I'm assuming that I get to create anything I want. You're able to create custom tattoo's, HOWEVER it's from their template. You can only choose one of their templates and customize it. Then they have the nerve to charge you $.99 per new design that looks JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONE's. If you say create your own I should have a blank canvas and have tools to literally create my own tattoo. Additionally, you could SUGGEST your template if you can't figure out what you want to draw. Give us something to start off at.
Until these changes the only thing tattoo generator is good for is the basic tribal tattoo. But the interface and everything is sweet. That part was thought out.

What a waste....
Just got the app after reading a review on cnet and I must say it's not what I was expecting. There are a few patterns to play with but they charge an additional $.99 for each additional pattern! The controls for customizing are limited to rotating and mirroring and there are no options for editing anything else. The look and layout of the app is neat but that's about it. Don't waste your money.

This app gives you 6 options and the only thing you can do with them is rotate and mirror the same tribal image. No letters, no color. All in black. Complete waste, this app should be taken off the App Store all together.

I've got the new iPad and iPhone 4S. Tried it on both and it will not work. It loads up and then when I push something it just sits there. I want my money back

Very limited options and interface that spits out very crude images. The developer has a lot of work ahead, even if it were to be a free app.
