The IoT ONE Academy App is a learning product from IoT ONE Ltd. from Shanghai, a major consulting company in the field of Industrial IoT (IIoT) with special knowledge of the digital Asian market. The IoT ONE Ltd. operates a large database with use cases and case studies from the field of IIoT and makes essential parts of it available free of charge in this course "IoT 1on1" in order to help companies worldwide to understand the topic and to be able to adapt IIoT technologies more quickly. The app was developed together with repeatmobile GmbH from Berlin, a specialist in corporate learning with a learning platform for the mobile learning scenario.
The aim of the IoT ONE Academy app with the "IoT 1on1" course is to give employees of companies around the world the advantages and benefits of Industrial IoT in a kind of beginner's course free of charge via a linear learning path. Employees can download the app and learn in a self-organized, part-time way via the app. The beginner's course is simple, but nevertheless produced in a sophisticated way. It conveys all the essential content for understanding digitization for industrial companies, which is summarized under the collective term Industrial IoT (IIoT).
The content is linear with real courses and chapters and is therefore suitable for the gradual acquisition of IIoT knowledge. The app has a messenger with which users can exchange information on the various learning topics and form learning groups.
In addition to the stringent training courses conducted via courses, the app also gives users interactive opportunities for self-reflection and deepening their learning, as well as tools with which ideas for integrating IIoT into company processes can be developed, structured and coordinated. The app offers test questions and has a learning quiz to playfully repeat the learning topics.
From a thematic point of view, the focus of the app is on conveying the mode of action and importance of the IoT stack and its 5 different layers, differences between use cases and case studies and the naming of important cases, the presentation and importance of IoT ecosystems as well as edge and cloud systems and others Architecture systems, the understanding and use of IoT business models as well as various challenges for industrial IoT in companies. The course is extensive, but can be completed part-time in 4-6 weeks of self-study with a time commitment of approx. 30-60 minutes/week.
