♙♘♗♖♕♔♚♛♜♝♞♟,
Return of a classic
I have very fond memories of playing the original JellyCar trilogy when I was young, such as making the car fly apart by spinning really fast in 1. Another memory was of making extremely annoying sounds in the sound editor or making an awful looking car in 3, which I’m happy both made the cut for this game. One of my favorite memories was actually from the second game, where you could create your own wacky levels (a feature I missed when playing the third). I was devastated when I saw that all 3 were removed from the App Store (thanks a lot, Disney), at least until I first heard the news that JellyCar was making a return.

This game is full of fun and challenging levels as well as the classic jiggly physics and mechanics (and the kid’s drawing art style) that gave its predecessors their unique charm that so many 2000s and 2010s kids loved and remembered. I’m a big fan of this new “worlds” gimmick that this sequel has and I’m very happy that you brought back the classic soundtracks from the old games. The latter hit me with a massive wave of memories that I thought I’d never get to experience properly again.

I love this game and I’m feeling so much nostalgia for it, but I do hope the ability to make custom levels makes a return at some point (maybe in a possible update?).

Thank you Walaber for bringing back my childhood!
robloxrevew,
Hard to control
I have only gotten to level 3 but these controls are way too hard! I usually get the hang of the controls in only a few minutes but this one I struggled with. Basically, you have to tilt your phone up and down and that will trigger the front wheels or the back wheels (depending on what side you tilt) to lift up. This is super hard because there is no jump button so if you want to go up some stairs, you can’t just jump to each one until you reach the top, you have to tilt your phone to lift the front wheels, then tilt your phone the other way to lift the back wheels to get on to the platform. This is so tedious and sometimes, instead of lifting just your front wheels, it will just tip your car over entirely! Also, there is a tool where you can make your own “skin” and that is just a whole other story of confusion. I know most of the reviews on here are talking about it having the same nostalgia of the old game and how it brings back so many memories of them playing this game when they were kids, I get it, but I never played this game as a kid so I don’t get the same nostalgia. Over all, this game is really frustrating and I think I would have liked it more if I had played it as a kid. If I were you, I would still try it out because idk maybe this just isn’t the right game for me? Thanks for listening to me vent about about jelly cars. Happy trails :)
dehhfb usi,
Perfect
How do I begin. Well, growing up Ioved jelly car and it being off the App Store was Devi staring but now that it’s back it’s better than ever. The art style is modernized but settings allow a more classic feel. The controls are perfect and there is even a no-tilt option. By far, my favorite bar has been the customization. From changing your tires to your car to replacing every sound file to your own it is super fun and makes the game feel so much more personalized. Lastly, the levels and levels selection is super neat and a blast. Overall, a great nostalgia trip with many features that will keep me coming back.
hammersledge2,
Thank You Walaber
Simply put, this was indeed my favorite childhood game. Everything about this game brings so much joy, the visuals, the music, the level designs, just everything. This is an incredible nostalgia rush with amazing new levels and features. I love the car and sound customizers, but my favorite aspect that is missing from the game is the ability to create your own levels! That was a HUGE reason I adored this game back in the day. If you could put this feature back into Worlds, my life will be complete. But nevertheless, I am so happy to be able to play this game again. It just puts a big grin on my face :)
itchimango,
GREAT but one fix…..
This game has piqued my interest for a while and when I started playing it I knew I would love it. The art style is top notch and really does make you feel like you are in a bouncy jelly-like world where you can do whatever and and be whatever. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT I THINK YOU SHOULD READ: I really miss the Level builder from the older JellyCar games and I think this game would gain LOADS more popularity if you re-added this feature so if you do end up reading this under the piles of reviews, then do please consider this being in the next update. ;)
Kareemery,
Great game for kids who want video games and parents who don’t
Once my kid discovered that video games existed, he asked to play at home constantly. My wife and I were hesitant to give in, but eventually we figured we could use Apple Arcade as our “console”. Finding this game definitely sparked his interest and now he’s so into it. The levels are difficult because he’s not used to the hand-eye coordination involved, but when he’s able to focus and keep trying, seeing him finally beat a level he was stuck on feels incredible.
Super Epic Miner,
One of the most adorable games ever!
I adore this game. The bouncy physics, the colorful, childish graphics, the amount of unlockable content and ability to draw and import your own graphics to customize the car, it’s all great and puts a big smile on my face, bringing me right back to my childhood. This developer made “Where’s my Water?” Which I was absolutely OBSESSED with as a kid, along with, obviously, the original Flash Game, Jelly Car, which I have fond memories of playing on the site Cool Math Games. This game is just like his previous works. Cute, wholesome entertainment that anyone can enjoy.
Rime Veltziona,
Good to see you survived the flash player discontinuation!
I really used to love playing the original JellyCar trilogy on CoolMath. A bunch of my friends thought the world’s hardest game was tough, no. This was a gauntlet of pain and suffering, and I loved every second of it!

As for JellyCar Worlds, a bunch of my friends found it on steam and played it, telling me they loved it. I got Apple Arcade and I’m still playing through it! Say what you will, an Xbox controller is easier to use than the touch controls. Thanks for integrating controller support!
AberrantWolf,
Relies too much on physics quirks
I’ve worked on physics puzzle games, and it’s an easy trap to fall into; basically, pretty early on, you start seeing stages that require you to pull off physics tricks rather than just using the mechanics straightforwardly.

Like, you’ll know what you’re supposed to do, just the timing and angles required to pull it off are WAY too tight, and you end up trying over and over again to EXECUTE the solution, which is terrible for puzzle games. A good puzzle game should be about SOLVING the puzzle, not pulling off the solution.

Lots of potential to be a great game, which is all the more tragic that the game fails so hard to have good level design that keeps it from being a good experience.
Rogo904,
Thank you, JellyCar
I never write reviews, but for this, I had to. This is the best game on the appstore. I grew up on all the JellyCar games and to see a modern day version makes me the happiest person alive. All the worlds are well thought out and I honestly have never had this much fun on a mobile game since the last time I picked up a Jellycar title so many years ago. To the team who worked on this day in and day out, thank you for bringing back my favorite game of all time, you guys rock!
