Amazing app
Wow. Blown away. After struggling with stinking Shutterfly for 7 years I am so excited to have found this app. This was the most pleasant app to use in my entire phone collection. Super easy, doesn’t kill my battery, and I get to make my memories into print!! From my phone!!! Never thought I would get to do that. Everything was super easy to do. Excited to get the results in a week supposedly.
Only suggestion is when I’m wanting to search for a picture from my whole phone, that you make that drag bar on the right so I could grab it and drag it to the year and month I want, instead of scrolling forever. Even without that I am incredibly happy with this. You guys have a great team of designers and engineers and it shows. Thank you for this app!!!!!!

Photo Book
My experience could not have been more positive!! My book arrived damaged I contacted Journi and they immediately informed me of what my options were. I chose a replacement, sent pictures of the damage and they sent a replacement which I received in 2 days
The quality of the book is fabulous. I will be ordering more books and highly recommend their service.

No access to shared albums is a deal-breaker
July 2023… another update, and still no way to access iCloud Shared Albums. Journi GmbH *really* needs to provide a way to use the standard iOS “photo picker” so we can access photos in shared albums!! (Please?!) When we get together for a group event, everybody puts their favorite photos into a shared album, and those albums are inaccessible with Journi! I know they have their own “shared photos” solution that they think is sufficient, BUT IT’S NOT. (People don’t want to deal with other apps and “special instructions”.) It’s enough of a challenge to get folks to add photos to an iCloud shared album (and that only takes a few taps!) Other apps on the App Store *do* allow access to shared albums, so it’s NOT a technical limitation. There have been lots of updates to the app in the years since I initially mentioned this but it continues to be ignored. 😢

There are better options
I have been trying a lot of photo book companies and thought this would be a neat alternative - The maps (what seems to be this company’s differentiator?) are OK but really just google maps and aren’t all that pretty in the book when printed. You could format your own google maps and screenshot for a book easily.
The price even with a coupon is very high. Quality is middle of the road, nothing amazing but also not bad at all.
The book arrived quickly which I appreciated. I think I would pass on making another with this app but did find it very easy to use.

Finally an album that is almost perfect!
I am a big photo keeper type (15,000 edited photos in my desktop...) and have tried several products over the years...including Facebook albums which are 98% pre selected and takes hours to delete photos and place them in the order you desire. I decided to try this company and was very pleased with the beautiful quality of the paper and cover and love the date captions! I think the app needs to improve photo repetition, as another review noticed. Highly recommended!!

Need improvement!
It was a very friendly app if you want to do it exactly as the way the app suggests. If you want to change the dates or arrange the photos in a different way it turns complicated and frustrating!
My main complain is that I didn’t get the option to create a cover. However it came with a 5 photos randomly selected (not my favorites) and 2 of them where exactly the same!

Fantastic service!
I used Journi to make a photo book of our European trip and I felt it was an overwhelming task. Journi made it easy with layouts, sizing, backgrounds, text options, editing. I got my book yesterday and it is better than I could have hoped!! I now have a beautiful memory book from those adventures, thanks to Journi! I can’t speak highly enough of them!

Love the mapping
I was looking for a way to print all the photos that I have in my phone so I decided to try this app. At first I didn’t know what to expect but I have to say that the quality of the soft cover books are amazing. I did try other apps but this one for me is the best by far. It’s east to use and I love having my memories in a book.

The best
Started using Journi 3 years ago to make a memory photo book as a Christmas present. It’s so easy to use, literally takes 15 mins and my favorite part is it automatically adds a location map. Books always arrive on time and are well worth it. Highly, highly recommend the Journi app/ company!

Easy and fun
I recently went to Italy and Sicily and wanted to transfer all my iPhone photos to a hard copy visual format. Journi made it easy and and fun… I love how they incorporate the maps where the photos were taken. The printing quality was excellent and I have a treasured keepsake that takes me back to my memorable vacation. Grazie!!
