Squid and Whale,
Very best kanji app I've found
This app is much better than using normal flash cards. And it's actually surprisingly fun and addicting. For low level kanji that I just need to refresh, I actually do some while listening to podcasts, so it's no work at all. I wouldn't recommend that for learning new kanji, however.

The thing that prevents me from giving a perfect score is the lack of customized lists. Most people learn kanji using books of mnemonic devices and therefore have to follow that kanji order instead of the JLPT order. I find myself using this app less than I'd like to.

Still this is an excellent app. Highly recommended!
AJon123,
Please improve shuffle!
Great app! Just fix it so there are no duplicate kanji until you've gone through all of them on shuffle. It can be pretty annoying trying to review your kanji and you keep getting the same ones two, three, or even five times before you've seen a new one. Other than that, I love the app! Linkage to the Imiwa dictionary would be a great feature to consider!
Edit:Please also add a feature for free hand drawing!

Fantastic App
Excellent app. This is exactly what I was looking for in the App Store. I would really love to see a free draw mode added. There could also be some improvements to the random mode (where I keep getting too many of the same Kanji in a row). I would pay more money for some extra features. Instead of the random mode, better would be if the program knew which kanji you get wrong, and present those more frequently, and hide the easier ones that you get correct every time. Well worth the $1.99 for the Full version.

Best Kanji App Out There
I’m surprised more people haven’t tried this one because this is the best kanji app I’ve found. It’s super comprehensive, has lots of lesson options and a larger and more complete catalog than any other I’ve found. There’s no subscription but a really reasonable one time payment unlocked everything. It’s really the only useful app I’ve found for kanji!

Great app looking forward to custom lists
This app is great for practicing kanji. It has many useful features that help you remember more efficiently how the characters are written and it also makes sure you use the proper stroke order. I really wish the custom lists feature is released soon. It would make the experience so much better. Overall, a great app that does what it intends to do.
Kenjhee,
Only one improvement
This is by far my favorite kanji learning app. My only complaint is that it still uses the old four-level JLPT categories. I was informed by support email that upgrade to the current five-level system (N5-N1) is in the works, or I can just use the custom list feature that has also been promised. Other than that, this is a very addictive application.

A Practical app
It's an okay app. It's really helpful that it has nearly all the joyo kanji (I don't know why it's missing 2 out of 2,136) . The app shows no signs of glitches . The versatility and performance of practicing handwriting strokes on here is amazing .

CONS : no audio recordings from native speakers/ this apps deserves a searchbar to type in and search for the the kanji you just learned so you can review both of the readings or stroke order/no sentence examples for the kanji / and there's nothing on here about radicals

Will be perfect when custom lists activated
I've tried all the kanji apps out there and this is the fastest, easiest, and clearest. The only problem is that we can't customize lists yet. I am using Japanese for Busy People, which doesn't follow JPLT. The notes say custom lists are coming soon. I can't wait! A kana version would also be good to help review stroke order easily.
acoomans,
Great app to practice kanji!
I've been looking for an app like this for a while! Totally worth it!
This app is better to learn than flash cards because you actually need to draw the kanji.
A few suggestions for future improvements: add hiragana and katakana, make transition to next kanji faster, and give a report / statistics after practice.

Great start with this app
Just tried this app and really like it so far Good design and seems like will help learn the kanji and the $1.99 for the full jouyou kanji seems fair (though it took a few mins to load up after purchase) Once it loaded up, it worked great! Thanks for a great app
