Amazing, but ONE Minor Flaw
After quizlet's betrayal, I searched far and wide for a similar alternative and I found Knowt. It's amazing because it has every feature quizlet has but for free! I love all the AI-related features, the fact that it has an active recall feature, and the easy importation of notes, videos or even pre-existing quiz lets. I love it and I'll be using this forever.
The only minor flaw that I see is the iPad's version of the app. I would very much like it to be compatible with the "slide-over" feature Apple has, in order to pair it with notes. I also don't really enjoy the fact that it's still vertical in horizontal mode. I know the app literally just came out so I'm not really upset, but just something to maybe prioritize for future updates. Another thing is that personally I would love a button that takes you all the way to the bottom of the flash card set, as there is once that takes you all the way up. Overall great app and excited to see what it brings for the future.

Great App Overall
I’ve been using Knowt for over a year now since switching over from another SIMILAR app that decided to prioritize profit over helping students. I love how Knowt is dedicated to making sure the features that students rely on to learn aren’t locked behind paywalls. I also love how Knowt doesn’t have a really distracting look when studying/using the learn mode. As someone who really struggles with focus, one of my biggest issues with the other app is that when I was studying the learning page was so distracting due to the ads that it deterred me from using it all together, and I couldn’t study as effectively. I’m glad that Knowt hasn’t done this and I hope it won’t in the future!

Listens to suggestions great potential so far!
A few months back, I've tried searching for this app to find that it didn't exist in the app store. Nevertheless, around this week, I looked and voila this app was here! I went around and tested the app and it was pretty solid!
Although there were some bugs places that could have been improved on potential features not implemented yet, Knowt still showed their ambition to listen to users by personally responding to my list of suggestions! If you're reading this, thank you and remember, always listen to your users! Quizlet had their decline becaues they shunned their users paywalled important features designed for an audience of students (who mostly do not have jobs), but I believe Knowt is wise enough to take a different path and I already see progress. Great work!

A must have for school
I will proudly say that this is so much better then quizlet by a whole lot. Mostly being the fact that it has all the features as quizlet except that they’re all free and the app is so far a lot more functional. There are no ads littered everywhere and you can easily import from quizlet too. It also doesn’t use as many resources unlike quizlet. The only downside being that the learn feature isn’t 1:1 with quizlet because although it’s still pretty good sometimes there are multiple choice questions which 2 or 3 of the choices are all the same answer and it’s definitely a little less cohesive but other then that it is a really great app.

No landscape :(
I love knowt, I take it over every other study app and method I’ve tried. I know the app is new and it’s probably still being worked on and improved. I just wish there was a landscape option for my iPad. I always use my iPad for school but having to study with my iPad in landscape and the app in portrait is weird. Besides that little annoyance with the app I still love knowt, I’ll just be using the website. Thanks for making a great study tool <3

Not impressed…
I’m very disappointed with this app. When I uploaded my notes, it created redundant flash cards and even receptive ones. It took me hours of deleting flashcards, it created over 100 flash cards. The application on the phone is extremely limited, I could not study the flash cards on my phone. The learn method on the app does not actually help me retain information (there’s just too much going on). The flash card method of studying on this app is not good, like it doesn’t let me organize them into which flashcards I know or don’t know. Overall, this app was really frustrating, there needs a lot of work to be done towards this app to actually make it as useful as it seems…

Needs an iPad optimized version
I just recently switched to Knowt as an alternative to Quizlet and it’s been great! In regards to the app I just started using it and the app isn’t designed for iPads at the moment. I’m hoping in a future update iPads will get an optimized version that'll advantage of the larger screen space.

The best app ever !!
I use this app for all my studying and it’s amazing. Way better than Quizlet and it’s FREE.
The only thing I would change is having the “re-type answer option” this helps me when I get anwser wrong and retyping them helps me learn better. The website version as the option but the app version does not have the option.

Awesome
I understand that this app is still in development and I am very excited to have an optimized iPad version. The best part is that it has the Learn and Test functions for free, whereas Quizlet makes you pay now. Since it’s free, I would not mind having an option to donate or watch ads to support the developer(s).

I started using this on the web after i found out quizlet was charging to learn. after using this website i’ve passed all my tests. 10/10 recommend.!!! couldn’t wait to have this as an app and even preordered it!
