Getting better, still drops 2nd game...
✅ The APP is impressive in it’s ability to show the pins you knock down, as well as those you left standing. However, it ALWAYS drops the 2nd Game (ie just disappears), once you have begun bowling your 3rd game of the day‼️ [The 2nd game is not seen again, until you are through bowling for the day then its info will show up just fine in your results.😵💫] So I’m back to raise my rating from 2 Stars up to 3 Stars. Once the 2nd Game will remain on my iPhone while I bowl and go to another app (ie camera, order a pizza, etc), then I’ll be back to raise it up to 4 Stars. 👍 ❓For 5 Stars and a possible subscription however, they will first have to solve the issue of being able to go to another app (ie take a photo/movie) and then return to LANETALK and it still be synchronized with my in-progress game. 🤞 👉 FYI: iPhone Xr running IOS 16.3.1, with v4.5.5 of LANETALK. Bowling at Classic Lanes, in Athens, TN

Good but hope developments come in the near future
I love this app. It keeps track of my scores bowled from previous months or even years and it keeps track of my progress on current games. I would like to hopefully see a simulation strike ball shot. What I mean is you select the ball your throwing, select the oil pattern and run the simulation so it gets an idea of where you want to stand so you hit the pocket every time for a strike. I would also like them to add balls in so you can see your arsenal or other peoples arsenals. While this might take a while I believe that this is possible. I would also like a better free subscription. I like the premium but I wish they would offer more things to the free users. With that said I have not seen a better bowling app in my life than this one ever!

I loved the app when I first got it. Paid for the subscription. Now I can hardly get it to connect to take/keep scores. I deleted the app and reinstalled it to see if that would fix it. Was told my old password wasn’t right and got a link to reset it. Now it says invalid link when I try to reset it. Now I can’t login at all It started off great and now it’s extremely buggy. I’m not getting what I paid for anymore
Update: my experience has gotten much better since my first review. I will bump it up because I do love the app. I was frustrated with the functionality for a few months but the problems I have seem to have been worked on. I appreciate the work

Fascinating App
The app is just plain fun to use and offers great value for tracking your history and following friends and competitors in your league or in other cities that have scoring equipment compatible with the app. I especially liked being able to track results of my various leagues even before having to wait for the official emailed results. They appear to be upgrading the app and I look forward to seeing what they can add to the platform for increased functionality. This is one of the better apps I have discovered, and i love the free price.

Subscription fee is dissapointing
After our lanes just upgraded their computer system it was awesome to see all your stats and get a real-time update of your actual average. All the guys had the app and we would talk about our scores. Since the app was free I was totally fine with dealing with some of the bugs that came along with it.
However, they just switched to a subscription based service and I plan on deleting the app. I can’t understand how they can ask for $25 a year in order to keep track of your stats forever with the same bugs others have been complaining about. The app has trouble claiming games after you have already claimed the first game. It doesn’t automatically recognize you are bowling a second and a third game and I’ve had to go in and reclaim the series every time. Plus it now only tracks the last six games so your average is never correct.
I would be willing to pay a one time purchase to support the developers but the creation of a subscription plan just to access your stats is disappointing. Especially since I recently bowled a 300 and the app now says my highest game is a 215.
Please consider a one time payment and I would be much more interested in supporting your app.

NO RESPONSE: CANNOT EDIT (correct) EMAIL ADDRESS IN USER PROFILE (Since December 2022)
Somehow, my email address . got input incorrectly upon initial registration. Went into Profile to make a simple edit update and the application would mot allow me to change it. Meanwhile, I contacted support back in December 2022 (several times) and never got a response. I liked the application nonetheless and then signed up for a yearly subscription and made payment. All the while never getting a response from support on my issue. Frustrated, I disputed the subscription charge with Apple and they got my money back. I continued to use the application and it seems to work sporadically similar to other’s reviews with the application dropping games. Not sure what the big deal is with not allowing a user to edit a profile. That’s basic Programming functionality. What’s up?

The best score keeping app for bowling. I like having statistics each time I bowl, I can also follow along and see which spares I’m improving on and which ones need more work. I have tried other “manual entry” bowling score apps and they are clunky. This one is pretty smooth, the interface is easy to use and looks nice.
There is so much potential here to offer more features. It would be nice to be able to have places to log notes, oil pattern info, etc. I am a subscriber because I love bowling and see the potential here. Glad to support a solid bowling app.

UNABLE TO UPDATE EMAIL ADDRESS IN PROFILE
Requested assistance back in December 2021 directly inside the application "Help" link. No response for three (3) - four (4) months... then a response stating I didn't leave enough information (ah, please read the title of this response). I then cancelled my "supporter" subscription based on the lack of response on my initial problem. WHICH WAS: my email address was wrong in my profile and I COULD NOT CHANGE IT myself to correct the issue. Really, you have a user profile setup and you won't let the paying customer edit it to make corrections? SO, I'm afraid to re-install the application until I'm sure that my email address can be corrected. Thank you... can't wait to see your response this time...you stated just recently

I really hope they don’t abandon this app.
This app hasn’t been updated in 3 months, but I really hope it gets some good tweaks soon. Me and some friends went bowling the other day in order to try out this app and the least I can say is that I am impressed. All my data, from the score to the pin leaves, is kept (and I could even look back at previous games I played). As a high school bowler, I will be recommending to my coach this app so that my teammates can keep track of their averages and other stats. PLEASE MAKE A SERIOUS UPDATE!!!

Works one week, won’t work the next
If this program was debugged and fixed properly this app would be out of this world and would be worth paying money for! But the same problem is always consistent where it’ll work one week and work great, then the next week it won’t even get past the opening “Lanetalk” screen with the logo I matter how long you sit there and wait. And sometime (hasn’t happened in a month) if the app does open it wouldn’t let you look at a report for anyone’s game(s) cause it would just crash and you would reopen the app to it just crashing again when trying to pull up the report scoreboard.
