PinPal is a bowling scorekeeping application designed to provide bowlers with detailed statistics to help improve their average.
PinPal keeps track of both leagues, tournaments, and open bowling, allowing bowlers to view their average and other statistics in many different ways.

Love the theory behind this app... But...
It needs to be more user friendly. I'm all about reading directions... But in this case. The screens show one thing here but can't seem to make it work on the app itself. I really want this app to work, I may even buy the full one if it is all I truly hope it's going to be. Please show me how to record my pins!!!! I'll up this to a 5. Oh and I want to b able to share the results. If I'm tracking this for my daughter. I want to b able to email/text/send this to her or her coaches.

Great overall app
I used this for about 2 weeks and it helps so much. I use it to help me figure out what kind of spares i need to practice. Ill be purchasing the full version

Good, but could be better!
My husband and I plan on buying the full version at some point, but this helps us put our scores and everything on paper until we can get it. I wish we can put multiple people per game on this though. If we could do that, and still keep track of the pins, oil patters, and balls, that would be great. That way, if we have our son with us, we can keep track of his, and let him play on the other ipod without prying it from his hands. Make the purchased version handle multiple players per game and you definitely have two happy campers here.

This is a really nice app
I just started bowling again after a 13 year layoff. Back in those days I had a little hand held bowling scoring calculator. Now with an iPhone I was searching for an app to record my scores. Happened upon some apps and after reading some reviews, decided to download this one. I was blown away by all the stats it contains. I love numbers and this app just rocks!!!!
I would like the ability to export/email the information into a spreadsheet.
It would also be nice if we could track ball speed. I was surprised to see a couple of bowling alleys that recorded that on their scoring machines.
I will say that at $8.99, the full version is highly over-priced and has absolutely no chance of me purchasing it. That's just an outright ridiculous price for an iPhone app. Slice it at least in half and you've a good shot at obtaining me as a customer. At this point I'm willing to forsake some bells & whistles for a more reasonably priced app from someone else.

This "lite" version of the app does as advertised. I have 4 bowling scoring apps and this is by far the best UI.
$8.99 is a bit much. But I am an avid league bowler. If the other apps disappoint, I may at some point spend the money. If the full version were $4.99, I'd already have bought it. For now, the "lite" version of this app coupled with the other scoring apps I use (some free), I'm okay.

Great app but just a Crippleware Demo
The Lite version is crippleware, it can only be used for a couple of games then is useless.
(You should be able to at least use it for one full league)
Also there have been no updates for all most 2 years now to the Lite and Full versions. While it still works and is a great app. The developer appears to have abandoned it, so buyer beware.
It a shame it's a good app and I was ready to buy it. But seeing it appears the developer abandoned it, I can't see paying $8.99 for a dated App that may quit working.

Perfect for bowlers wanting to improve!
I've tried a similar application and it came nowhere close to this. The guys in my league are in awe at some of the stats it produces which ultimately allows me to have very focused practice sessions.
Wish List:
- add in existing stats from the league sheets to establish current average/handicap
- a practice mode where you can specify a pin(s) your having trouble with and count hits or misses. This will help in tracking your practice sessions and improvement
