KY Retiree,
Glitchy
Update: Changing my rating to 4 stars. Figured out a workaround for the peg game by closing the app completely and restarting. This allowed one chance to place a peg in the location I wanted. Got thru the puzzle after a few tries using this method.
Overall the game was fun.
——————————————————————————————-
Chapter 6 has a toy peg game that’s very glitchy. Can’t proceed without solving it first. Thru trial & error I found the correct placement for the first peg and was working on the second to correctly bounce the button out of its resting place. On resetting the game to try again I could no longer place the first peg where I wanted it. This game seemed to change and get more difficult to impossible to complete as I got closer to solving it (very bad form). There’s no response with several peg locations and those that will allow placement of a peg don’t work to solve the puzzle.
dmisop,
Bad game design bad puzzles.
The worst escape game i have ever played and I’ve played too many too count so…pretty bad. Graphics and audio are decent but thats the only thing going for it. The devs apparently love giving math problems that could be interpreted in numerous ways but don’t give any context for how to properly interpret the problem without hints. The hints they give are often condescending and mostly useless. They also love giving you hints for problems you’ve already solved. The camera angles are terrible and the game gets super nit picky about the angle you have to look in order to move to another area. Too many moments where you obviously made a change and hear a noise signifying something has moved but it doesn’t give you any idea of where that change occurred. Information overload can sometimes be good but this game loves to give info overload in the form of showing multiple separate puzzle’s clues all at once…all the time, making it difficult to understand what clues are for which puzzle. The game tries selling you with the graphics and animations but falls severely short on what makes an escape game an escape game. Extremely poor execution of game design and understanding of the genre. If i could give negative stars, I would. So I’ll just say it. -2/5 stars.
Cheryllayne,
a lot of game for free + ads
This is an impressively full game to be ad-supported, so thank you for making it available without a price tag. There are lots of awesome puzzles. My favorite chapter was the one with the computer within the computer. These developers have many great games in their future. Criticism: The music is creepy. I was glad that the game wasn't creepy, even with the post-industrial aesthetic. I muted it though because of the creepy music. in Chapter 6, it became a little tedious going back and forth to places on the map repeatedly, up and down the elevator. My biggest criticism is not about the game, but about the Homicide Squad ads. It's really unpleasant to be interrupted to see a picture of a gruesome murder. What I liked most about the game is that it had puzzles and art as good as Glitch games, but without any horror (people are getting sick of horror games!!). If you had a narrative/story element to your next game, it will make it a full-fledged adventure. Thank you. Very good game. I just got the paid version after playing to support the developers.

Confusing
Seems like a good start to an escape game. My main complaint is the last puzzle, and the eventual hints for it. Honestly the last hint acts like “oh duh this is so obvious” except the answer is not easily figured out simply because the developer does not seem to realize algebra has rules. Ok so A+B+CxD is totally different from (A+B)+(CxD), and without those parenthesis in the correct spot, the second formula is what you want people to figure out btw, no one is going to just know to “multiply first!” as your hint states. Seriously this is not a good way to make a game harder it is just obtuse, and frustrating. Also if you want people to know what the two W’s are supposed indicate maybe make the purple light a purple W instead of a blue W, also this just makes more sense. Basically if you want a game to revolve around logic based puzzle solving you as a developer have to follow certain rules of logic as well. Colors for clues, and the objects they represent, or the way the clue/object look like the W for watts, need to match exactly, or if you expect someone to solve a math problem state the correct math equation on the clue, seriously things like that make or break games. Otherwise a good free game no doubt it has potential, just needs polish.
pgk60,
Second review- It’s Fantastic
I thoroughly enjoyed this game - every level of it! And given that it is absolutely free WITH NO ADS all I have to say to you bad reviewers is “Shut up you babies!!!”

FIRST REVIEW BELOW HAD TO DO WITH A GLITCH In the third room, on the side of the green central tower with the keypad and three stacked doors, the center door “AV” is opened and you move in closer to press the button. Something is activates some where. All good so far. Let’s back out and see what happened. You press the white ‘back out’ button in the lower right to return to the greater environment. But you don’t back out. Instead the red button is pressed again. There is no wiggle room to reposition the screen so as to press the white navigation button and not to press the red button repeatedly. The only way out is to exit the game and relaunch. Whatever the red button is moving when pressed is impossible to ascertain. I’m enjoying the game. Please fix this. Other than this show-stopper it’s a fun time.
Karmacutie,
Dude. WOW. Incredible game.
I am shocked that this game isn’t more popular. It has the PERFECT mix of not being too difficult but still being a fantastic challenge. Hints were definitely needed for me at times but I never felt like the puzzles were impossible or way too easy. Gorgeous atmosphere and fantastic sound-design. There’s not too many ads in the way of things. I love that the challenges and puzzles were difficult, but never so much so that nobody could figure them out. My only complaint is that some puzzles require moving back and forth between areas, triggering cutscenes that felt just a little bit too long, but it wasn’t awful and was something that was easy to get used to.
Overall, this app had everything I look for in an escape game, and rarely see in them anymore (especially in the App Store). This is a game I would pay to play, even in a PC format. I hope to see more updates in the future!

Escape Room for Engineers
This game is a window into the fantasies of its prodigal developer: a post-cold war Central European geochemist with a knack for electromechanics, electronic control systems, and compsci. Compelling and captivating, you’ll have to use every bit of intelligence you have to make your way out of what you eventually discover is a top secret facility, rigged with diabolical contraptions and nested reality puzzles-in-puzzles that will make even scientists think and squint carefully in the dark to make clues out. It’s a gentle intro to firmware coding, mainframe hacking, and spatial logic. Some people here wished the answers were more obvious, but I see that these weren’t a design flaw but intended to force you to watch an ad to see a hint once in a while, which you won’t mind because you’re hooked... so I’m 5*ing it and paying to support Schon for more chapters!
BiggestBaddestBobbest,
Super enjoyable!
I played through the entire game, and was really very happy with the game play and level of puzzles. I am a big fan of this genre of game, and I found the puzzles to be very unique and challenging... it most are doable without any hints.

The graphics are great and the screen movement from scene to scene is very fluid.

I played through the game fee without paying to remove the ads, and didn’t find them to be too annoying . . . But now I am going to contribute to the developer as thanks for hours of enjoyment, and support so they will build some more chapters.
melduforx,
Excellent Puzzle Game
I don’t usually write reviews, but I thought this was an excellent game, especially for the $1.99 ad removal fee. There were only a couple of times I needed to search for hints because I’d gotten stuck (trying to find the way to open the bottom drawer in chapter 5 was frustrating). Otherwise, I thought the puzzles were well thought out and fun to work through.

I really hope this developer makes more games like this or adds some more chapters to this game! I’m definitely looking forward to it.
hosewives,
Stellar underrated gem
Downloaded this on a whim and so glad I did! What a spectacularly ominous little puzzle game- it’s simplicity juxtaposed with complexity makes for a very intelligent and entertaining play. Seamless and smooth controls blessed by fluid interface. Perfection.

To the developers, please make more! Hopefully in the future the option to purchase and have an ad-free version will make its way. This game is so great though that I’ll sit through the ads, but I will pay for every game you make at this point.

Keep up the brilliance- LOVE this so much 🖤
