جنيفر,
Good but vowelization problems
I am not new to Arabic but I've been looking for a good app for practicing and reminders. This is too basic for me but I wanted to try it to see what it's like. There have been a few times where I wrote the correct answer with the proper vowelization and it was marked as wrong, but the solution matched what I wrote exactly!

Also, for those who don't know how to add the marks above and below letters -- on iOS' arabic keyboard you either hold down the letter or you hold the key next to the space bar, or both. Try holding down all of the letters to see what options are available.
Momof4littlekids,
Difficult to use
Hello! As a non-Arabic reader, this app was very difficult to use. The interface needs to be updated. During the quiz for the Arabic alphabet, the choices were at the bottom of the page and covered by my iOS keyboard. I couldn’t get the keyboard to go away, so I couldn’t see the choices for your quiz.

As far as an initial reaction for learning...Just looking at the typed version of the Arabic letters and listening to what they said was okay, but it would be much better to need to trace the letters as you say it. That’s how I teach English. I’m curious to know if every Arabic text puts numerals in for sounds that aren’t in the English alphabet? That was very confusing also. Are there not international phonetics and linguistic symbols that could be used instead? Thank you for allowing me to try it out!
Jazeerajulia,
This is what you're looking for
I hope their app developers can't keep up… I just downloaded this and actually look forward to going to the modules the way they cover reading writing listening all the various facets is perfectly balanced.
I would totally pay for this.
Thank you guys so much for putting this out in the App Store and please add more as soon as you can inshallah
If you are looking to match up some writing skills with the Arabic you already know, filling gaps from learning off the street as a post hung from a book, or even starting from scratch this is the app you were looking for!

Ok
So I’m Arabic and of course I know them all but he one problem is that you have to have the exact lines above and under which the Arabic keyboard doesn’t actually have all of them which I kept getting them all wrong. I’m 11 but this thing is actually bad. But allhamdullah. انا ما فرحت يوم القيتو هاذه ولا استفدتو بيا شي هونا. Sorry if I made any spelling mistakes but what that says is I wasn’t happy with the app the moment I saw it and I didn’t learn any thing from this app. Happy Late Eid Mubarak 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Rayassin,
Great for grasping grammar
This app has really helped me get clear on the various verb/pronoun/plural forms. Much more effective - and fun! - than trying to memorize morphology tables! I'm impressed enough that I've paid for the full app; I really hope development continues and we'll get to see more materials.

Also: I have not run into the issues with harakat/vocalization marks that others have mentioned, and the settings offer a way to turn off the Arabic in English letters. I hope this means that the devs are listening to feedback!

Impressed!
I started learning Arabic in school, but this app helped me relearn all the basics, like the alphabet and their sounds.
I am only partway into the Basics, the app is very thorough with the Arabic keyboard and the correct uses of accents for different sounds. Since I’m trying to increase my reading and writing as well as speaking, this is largely appreciated.
What helps most is, if you get a certain amount wrong, you are required to repeat the lesson... it really helps to make the right way stick!
Thank you!
麗平夏,
I wish I could give this more stars.
I really wish I could say this was a great app, but it would need a lot of work to get there. With the developer site no longer available and no recent updates, I doubt it will get the attention it needs to be a great app.

The idea is solid. It's much like Duolingo, which doesn't currently support Arabic. Certainly this app has a lot of marketability for Arabic learners. However, the app is buggy to the point of being broken.

In the alphabet learning section, typing in the correct Arabic letter with diacritics (and without) results in a missed question. When your "wrong" answer is identical to the "corrected" answer displayed under it, that is a huge bug. After 4 typed-in questions, you automatically fail since you can never answer those questions correctly.

This seems to be the case with all of the typed-in questions in the entire app, which makes the first lesson impossible to complete. This would be discouraging to any new learner.

Developer, wherever you are, please update this app!
mokie323,
LOVE this! Great as a supplementary tool
I love this app so far! However, I'm currently taking Arabic in school and find this a useful tool to keep up with it when not in class. I don't know how efficient it would be for someone who doesn't know the basics. It's very much like duolingo which I love.

However, I'm frustrated because sometimes it will tell me something's wrong even though I wrote it correctly...it's strange. Once I got one wrong because I added an extra space.
Metullah,
Doesn’t work past Lesson 3 part 1
Word of caution- Loved this app so bought it but it doesn’t work for me past lesson 3, part one. In addition, there are bugs where you can put the correct English translation and it says it’s wrong. Like they mark wrong “they are eating fruit”. I realized that I get it right only if I enter “they are eating fruits” which is incorrect.
So I paid 7$ for a few shot lessons.
But concept was good. Shame it’s not more built out. Gave it a 3 for good try. I think it had a future if the developer gets back to it. NEED a good Arabic app.
imani saadiq,
Best learning Arabic app
This app taught me so much and learning Arabic is tough in the start but you just gotta be persistent and you’ll get it within2 weeks.. well the alphabet at least. I practiced Arabic for 5 weeks and I’ve already learned what hiydahee/Ana em2ra or Ana/ hiydahee bent is an how to type it too! But here is a thing I wished y’all had.. how to spell a letter like A= alif and not just the pronounciation. But other than that this is great! Now people can learn Arabic for free and save money
