Vermomt,
Realistic French
I started brushing up on my French a few months ago. I downloaded several free apps including this one from Vidalingua. Some of the apps are like games which is fun, but I’m not sure I’m learning things I can use. This app has lessons that are immediately useful to talking to real people in real situations like checking in to a youth hostel, taking the train or making friends. I gave some feedback to the developers and they are really responsive. They have another update coming out in December and I’m on the list to give it a try before release. This app is great and has a lot of potential.
Kik1856,
Great for students
I teach at a bilingual school and it’s challenging to keep the student’s attention. Apps are the way to go and this app is one of my favorites. The lessons are interesting and sometimes a bit over the top, but if the goal is to keep kids engaged, this is the way to go. The exercises are interactive, word puzzle, pronunciation and multiple choice. Would be even better is there were multiple difficulty levels. The pronunciation exercise is tricky for beginning students. The multiple choice is too easy for some phrases. But overall, it’s a great app for students.
Natalee Ivette,
Just started it and...
I just started the app to day and I want to point out a few things that will make the app user-friendly. Every time I study a phrase it doesn’t marks it that I studied it so I get confused and repeat it again. I will suggest that every time one studies a new word it gets a checkmark so we know where we’re going. Also, when seeing the translation in the phrases, please don’t make the right choice the first choice because it’s logic. Also, teach us how to write it too. I’m coming from using Duolingo and this app seems more realisting “french-learningwise” than Duolingo. Would very much like if the app gets a huge update. Thank you!

Best App for French
I took French in college but forgot most of it. I’m planning a trip to Paris and I would like to be able to communicate with people we meet. This app is helping me learn how to take a cab, check into a hotel and order at a restaurant. The pronunciation exercises actually check how you say something and tell you if you are right. Amazing!

Fun French
The app is a fun way to learn French. It steps you through lessons you will need for a trip to a francophone country then throws in a few unexpected ones like At Wit’s End. You learn to understand but also to speak. You can tap on any phrase to hear it pronounced or say it yourself and find out if you said it right. Fun app. Bravo!

French class in middle school
So I’m in middle school and recently I had the flu and it made me miss some of my French class. So I wanted to keep up with the class. This way I can study French on vacation and on sick days, so I can keep up with the class. This is a really helpful app if you really want to learn French
JTrask77,
Fun and easy to use
I love this app. Great for both students (the progress tracking feature is really cool) and for travelers who want access to common and useful phrases. It’s fun to practice your French pronunciation and to have the app verify your speech. This is a must have app for anyone seeking to improve their French!
alvinleehk,
Easy to use
The phrases are organised in categories which help me to brush up my vocabulary in different situations. The app is very user friendly and can listen to the clear pronunciations of the words. Indeed a nice app for French starters without need of reading lots of textbooks.
Hgret,
Fantastic app
I m enjoying learning with learn French +. So easy to use and has everything you might need for support, l am so happy with it.
Mochita10,
So far so good
So far I’m enjoying this app, I set a goal of 10 words per day and it reminds me when I have met my goal which is great encouragement. A bit manual with pressing continue all the time but I guess I’m getting used to.
