Fun but not too terribly useful
You get a new word every day but if you fail to look at it within 24 hours or fail to add it to your word bank you can't see it ever again. Some of the words are just English words with an accent and it could be better by using more obscure words that would be harder to learn without help. I like it none the less and it's educational. I use it nearly every day.

ICloud syncing is awful
There is so little data to synchronize and it can take 5 minutes regardless of the bandwidth of your wifi connection. And if your phone sleeps while it's syncing it can be difficult to wake up....you make me sit and watch it, continually tapping the screen to keep it awake, so I have plenty of time to curse how stupid and frustrating it is to use.

Needs improvement!
Used to be good but it takes forever to synch. To the point where it’s almost useless. Also, Paid for upgrade and when I reinstalled I was back to square one. Too bad, since native speakers are very helpful.

If you want to learn basic Swedish this isn’t the app. There are very few words and phrases and the app is complicated to navigate and there are pop ups.

Great Starter
It's s great starter because it's slowly introducing you to the Swedish language, with just one word a day. The voice of the person saying the words is very clear & easy to understand (& it's a males voice which I think is nice, I really like it). Also it's fun, easy & a great way to learn a new language. I'm definitely going to upgrade from this free one to the $10 one. I think it's well worth it & want to continue learning. One word a day is too slow for me.
The more I learn the closer I feel to Sweden & my love for the beautiful people and country only grows. I want to go so bad (thanks for listening to me rambling).

Parents were both born in Sweden and as a child I grew up amongst Swedes, and managed to pick up some Svensk here and there. Now as an adult - a senior citizen - much of it is coming back to me and I find it heartwarming to remember all those dear people I miss from my past. Further, I began working on my family tree and been able to go back many generations as well as connect with relatives in Sweden. They correspond in English and I do so in Swedish. Love this program - tusen tack!

Don't do it!
Ever since they provided an update you cannot hear any words! They eliminated the audio with the updated version!! Isn't that the point of the app is to hear how the word is properly annunciated? Then they give you a word like Email or Asian...gee I wonder what the English translation would be???? Ridiculous!!! Also more than 90% of all words do not have phrases or sentences to hear how they are used. How hard can it be to add a sentence or two with each word! Don't expect to be fluent with this app, but a way to build up your vocabulary if you are willing to use Google or the internet to hear and know more about the word for the day.

Nice Swedish app
This language app is pretty good. The best part is using each Swedish word in multiple sentences that are also spoken by real Swedes. That is the best way to teach a new language. It shows you how to use the word and how to say it plus you learn additional words. Adding many more Swedish words would make it even better.
