I love the connect-the-dots stroke order method used to help teach how to write the Chinese characters, it's great for beginners who want to become literate in the language.
However, sometimes it's hard to understand the sounds and tones used in the pronunciations of the characters. Pīnyīn would eradicate this difficulty.
I expected to be presented with an upwards of 100 of the basic building block characters of Chinese but was very disappointed that only 30 are taught in this app.
The testing portion of the app is very helpful but it could use some adjustments. For example, if someone writes a character incorrectly, a red "x" could appear followed by a buzz. If someone writes a character correctly, a green check mark could appear followed by a ding.
I would suggest that sample sentences be provided that properly include the characters being learned.
Something small that could enhance this app is including a brush stroke sound when a user touches the screen to write a character.
