Legacy Tablo Hack 2.4.1 + Redeem Codes

Last Monday and Tuesday, September 11 12. My Apple TV. Updated to the latest version. Of tvOS tvOS 17.0. Space now there’s a huge bug or huge major issue in the Tablo app on the Apple TV. Under live TV. Space when I scroll through the channel.
. when I scroll through halfway through the channels. The screen locks up. And I have to go to the Apple TV settings. And do a restart. Then go back into Tablo. And scroll down halfway through my channels. Enlighten me and the screen locks up. It does it every single time. So that’s why there’s a major bug. And live TV. On tvOS 17.0. This needs to get fixed and update.. last Friday. The 22nd whatever that would be I called in and talk to Terrik. He suggested I take it home. Try it on my home network and see if it did or not same issue. Also, I deleted the app. Like he said Vi didn’t Saint issue didn’t fix it. So I emailed my mom help me email on Saturday. Doug legacy tableau needs to be updated for tvOS 17.0. please fix the legacy tablet app for the Apple TV.

Is a nice improvement. Seems better in many ways. Faster. But…. Still no Picture in Picture support. How about that and maybe split screen support? Try differentiate yourselves.

As for the hardware, Tablo functions just as expected. Figure out the antenna you need then get a better one. You won’t be disappointed. The same for the size of hard drive.

Appl is generally fine - however it has one HUGE issue. If you have Tablo running watching LIVE TV, and then prescheduled recordings on different channels run, leaving no tuner available for the live TV you were watching, the notification that Tablo shows simply stays on the screen. Static white text that doesn’t move, on a black screen. And as the AppleTV doesn’t know Tablo isn’t displaying moving video content - it can and doe sit there until the user intervenes.

Bottom line if you have live TV running in the background as you do things, and scheduled recordings then take up all the tuners. One ends up with a static notification of text that will not go away without user intervention. Which means —- IMAGE RETENTION. Which if left too long can permanently RUIN an OLED television.

After a couple years of restarting the dual channel receiver and the app, I switched to AirTv by Sling. The Tablo hardware had to be reset a couple times a week - sometimes daily.

The UX is awkward and unintuitive. Settings, channel selection and even just watching a program take more steps than needed and don’t behave similar to other apps. Network management is extremely limited. Short term network glitches or reception problems seem to hang the box or the app and there’s no way to diagnose which one.

The business model of subscription for channel guides and commercial skip is really questionable. Sending the stream to a server to strip commercials… REALLY?

OTA reception was good connected to TV but random on Tablo. Well, AirTV works just as well OTA as TV does and it’s worked without the frustrating restarts.

At first, Tablo seemed like a great solution but it’s primitive. There’s been little noticeable improvement over a couple years. It’s a dated, over-priced product compared to available alternatives.

I’ve had Tablo since 2015. Same problems today as then. Connecting from away from home is a 50/50. After a month or so the app will say “cannot find Tablo” or “connect from your home wifi first”. Then there is a regular error where iphone cannot find tablo on home network either. No vpn active. Tablo playing fine on appletv. So that keeps it from being a 1 star review. But as far as it being there for you if you need it just to work, no go usually on ios, neither on the road nor the home office consistently. And no, tech help have not been able to help with a long term solution.

I have been a five years user and until now,, I have been very happy with its performance. My only complaint is that since the last update, they removed the menu of seasons which made easy to select a specific season and chapters. Now if one wants to go back and start watching a season from the begging, one needs to scroll down, in my case, 8 seasons/200 chapters every time. Please bring back the season menu. Thank you.

So aggravated that I removed the original app before testing the newly installed version of two point something on my iPhone. As soon as I close the window on my phone it stops playing on my TV. As soon as I let my phone go to sleep, it starts playing on TV. Somewhere is the original app and I’m able to pull it up through Siri and then I can use it as normal, closing the app and everything else and it keeps playing on my TV. This is horrible I cannot be trying to keep my phone away just so I can watch what I have recorded.

I takes 11 seconds to load a channel using the Tablo Roku app. Using the ipad, a channel loads in 5 seconds. So screen mirroring is faster than using the Roku app. I wish this could be fixed. Problem has been around forever. Not a viable channel surfing device. I split my TV antenna signal. One cable to Tablo for recording and the other cable directly to the TV for fast surfing. Not the greatest workaround.

The commercial skip takes a while to process…sometimes several hours. You need to go through settings and tweak them for your internet speed etc. happy so for.

It would be nice if you could download recordings from your Tablo to your iPhone or iPad. That way you could take them with you. We are going out of town for the weekend and there are some shows I would watch. I won’t have the option to tap into it with Tablo Connect.
