The Letus Helix app is designed to be a simple and intuitive way of changing settings on the Letus Double Helix, Helix Pro, Standard Helix, and Helix Jr. Many settings from the SimpleBGC GUI (PC/Mac-based configuration program) have been eliminated, because those settings are only needed to work with other gimbals or are rarely used. Additional tools to help the user have been created to assist the user in their use of the Helix.
Connection with the Helix is done as follows:
1) Turn the Helix on
2) Go to the Home screen on your iPhone/iPad.
3) Find Settings -> Wi-Fi and select your Letus Helix.
4) Enter the wifi password found in the app help files (found by pressing the info button on the app's main menu).
5) Once it connects in iOS, you can go to the app and press the connect button.

Convenient and easy to use
Very functional app that is super easy to understand and use. I love the “notch filter” feature that automatically eliminates buzzing.

When you open the app and click the “i” information icon it literally says “the current version of this app (1.5.0) is compatible with firmware versions 2.43 to 2.69”
My helix jr is running firmware 2.43b and the app will not work with the gimbal. When you launch the app it detects the helix wifi and lets you enter password and it reads what firmware you have installed before prompting you that in fact the app won’t work with the firmware.
These gimbals are not cheap. There is no way to calibrate the gimbal with the app.

Amazing free tool from Letus
We've had 3 Helixes with various cameras so far and the fine tune control Letus provides with the app makes the Helix even better. Changes we made eliminated motor buzzing and helped stabilize our rigs even more.
