Great App
Love the Level2 program, and App! It makes quite a difference to be able to have your glucose readings every five minutes! It also helps me, a lot, to keep trying to make better choices when I eat. Before starting in this program, I knew I had been diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic, but since I didn’t see the effects of what I was eating, I kept eating the wrong foods, now knowing that I will be seeing my sugar level shooting up, helps me to stay away from the foods that will be bad for me. The only things I would change is to be able to go back a day, to set somethings, like fasting starting time, and whether you completed a goal or not.

Level 2 & Dexcom
I i’m currently wearing the Dexcom monitor however I have been told that I cannot update the level to air because it was interfering give false blood sugar readings and also it might arise all readings entirely. It’s very frustrating because I don’t know how to take my blood sugars it says it’s working but I don’t know what to do with the information and my current doctor said she knows nothing about it including my pharmacy. I’m on able to even use my Fitbit and I’m so excited to use it because I was told that I have kidney damage and I don’t even have a clue what to eat my insurance does not cover all the specialist involved. Can you please work on coordinating the two apps I have an iPhone X that needs a software update to 14IOS -however they told me do not do this because it is not working and it might take away from the Dexcom on my body please somebody help so that I can wear the Fitbit and get better Thank you The support team and tech team and coaches have been awesome .
Cristina2775,
Love the program, hate the app.
Let me preface this review by saying I love the Level2 program. I credit Level2 for helping me keep my A1c and my blood glucose under control by providing valuable insight into my BG….But I hate this app. It’s glitchy, often kicks me out several times a day and requires me to authenticate every time I try to log back in. The chat messages also frequently fail to load. I will get a notification that I have a message from my coach but it won’t load. I have to restart the app several times before it lets me see messages. My Daily Actions disappear as well so I can’t always log my progress. I’ve never been compelled to write a review for an app but my frustration level with this Level2 app is boiling over. I hate that I can’t calibrate the readings unlike the Dexcom app. Every time I insert a new sensor I get false low readings in the 40s. But when I manually check my sugars it’s actually in the 100s. The developers need to do better with this app.
darcyotis,
Fix the applications
I started the program 30 days ago. This has been a great way to change my behavior and improve my dependance on meds. The challenge i have had is with the applications. There are three applications that interact to provide CGM and lifestyle information. The CGM looses communication with the sensor way too often. I have to continually authenticate. I have to link my fitbit account every time i sign in. I did a fast and it does not give me credit and locks up the app. It does not give reminders ahead of time when the sensor or the transmitter is going to expire. The sensor expired the last time when i was out of town for two days. There is no way to change my profile settings in the app. I would like to change my phone number. Fix the apps and this would be a 5 star.
Power iOS user,
Amazing results
I have been fortunate to have been selected for the Level2 CGM pilot program for the last 6+ months or so. Their services in coaching, guidance and the power of their Dexcom CGM device have been invaluable to my progress. Prior to participating in Level2 CGM program , my sugar levels were completely out of control and with the help of the Level2 program services, I am well on my way towards my goals of lowering medications and the possibility of remission. I would strongly recommend Level2 CGM or similar CGM programs for people like me with type 2 diabetes and remission goals.
Traveling Lj,
Content within the App frequently not accessible
This app needs a lot of improvement. The majority of the videos within this app do not work, “sorry video not available” when one clicks on the link. When the apps directs you to set up the fitness tracker the link sends you back to the Level2 App. Have had to reload the app to try get the fasting timer to work and it auto assigns the time / does not allow the end user the opportunity to edit the fasting end time. It does not allow the end user to track what they have completed. So still a lot of bugs and fixes needed. Very frustrating when you are trying to participate in the program when the content is not available/ accessible.
nurse165,
Add free text option to Event field
Open this field up to allow the patient to add events. Either add more options to pick in the drop down or add a free text field. There are events that happen that may be reason for blood sugar changes or that affect blood sugars . Like hospitalization or stress or reaction to a shingles shot or an illness. Maybe that’s not what the event field is for but there are things like this I might add as an event … to see correlation with a drop in my blood sugar . Or let me add what I ate that may have caused a rise in my sugar .
HollyKid73,
Pointless
This app now requires that there not be any Dexcom apps on your phone. However, the only way to see blood sugar readings on an Apple Watch is the Dexcom G6 app. There is no widget available for this app so you can’t monitor blood sugar from your main phone screen. You literally have to log in EVERY time you need to see your reading. You can no longer calibrate the CGM, so you can be sure the readings are wrong. So the Level2 app now PREVENTS me from monitoring my blood sugar. Thanks for the “upgrade” Oh and a badge appears every day to tell you that you have a new chat message, even when there are only old/read messages there. The badge won’t clear until you re-read the old messages again.
ShanzVanz,
Level 2 is a lifesaver
I originally started with level 2 two years ago. Had to leave the program due to insurance changes but was welcomed back when I became eligible again. Between the CGM and coaching as well as the educational resources and community, my A1C has been reduced, my overall health improved, and I finally feel like I’m in control, not Type 2. Thank you!

The app has its issues from time to time but support is always really helpful and thorough.
DrPFA,
App update
This app was recently updated. As a result, I no longer have blood glucose reading. I have spoken to level2 support and Dexcom support. Apparently, I am not the only one who has this problem since the update. At the suggestion of the level2 support, I have deleted and downloaded the app. Now the app will not recognize the transmitter. With the help of support, I have tried again to connect to the transmitter without success. I am being sent a new sensor and transmitter but I have no confidence that this will solve the problem of an improperly tested update to the app. I am strongly supportive of the level2 program but the app is not any where close to the proper Dexcom G6 app!
