LocaToWeb is a GPS tracker that shares your position to web in real time. Friends and family can follow you live on a map at locatoweb.com when a track is running. The app gives you duration, distance, speed and altitude as well as your exact position and track lines on a map while tracking.
The web site stores your tracks in an archive under your account that enables you to log in and view and edit your tracks. Using the app, you can be as anonymous as you like since you track under an Alias, and you can even set the tracks to be private (not listed or searchable on locatoweb.com).
The app only records your position when a track has been set up and started and lasts until you stop it. It is frequently used to track bicycle rides, road trips, hiking trips and other outdoor adventures where you want to show your friends and family where you are, or to simply track your adventures for your own pleasure.
There is also a safety aspect of using LocaToWeb. If you have the track running and something happens, your wife, husband and friends can see the exact location of where you are. Maybe you are riding your bike and falls off hitting your head, or you just want to be safe when walking home alone at night.

Great features for price
This app very simply works and is great for tracking a trip and letting friends and family know where you are. Their privacy policy is very good too - a great alternative to sharing via Facebook or similar.

LocaToWeb - awesome tool for flying drones
I work in a job that requires us to fly a wide variety of small UAS and drones. This is a super handy tool for gathering additional data, and pushing locations and tracks to the cloud for later analysis.

Complete waste
I tried to use this so friends could see where i was during an event and after a couple hits to the website to track me- it started to try to charge everybody money to track me. Then, at best, only tracked me intermittently. Dont buy it. Im sure now that i deleted the app they will try to keep changing me for some hidden subscription. Save your money and go with something else.

Great app and service, wonderful developer
As a volunteer at a vintage aircraft museum I needed a way to display the location of our aircraft in real-time on our website. We were flying over 30+ community centers and retirement homes to honor veterans for their service on the 70th anniversary of D-Day, and they needed to have precise location information for the announcers and ceremonies. The developer of LocaToWeb really stepped up to help us make this event a success. In addition to answering all of my questions and concerns promptly, he actually built out essential features on his web platform and released a new version of his app specifically for our flight. What's even more amazing is that I only contacted him about a week and a half before D-Day! Once we had thoroughly tested everything, he then stayed up late to watch over our flight to be sure nothing went wrong, and even gave us data on how many viewers were watching our tracker. I can't thank him enough for all of his support and help, I know that hundreds of veterans and thousands of people were able to see us fly overhead that day, and it would not have gone as smoothly had we not been able to give them a real-time tracking map via LocaToWeb.

Just What I Have Been Searching For
I had been searching for a way to track my motorcycle rides as well as mountain bike rides. Locate To Web nails it with an app that's easy to use, tracks in reasonable real time and allows the viewers to see stats like duration, speed, distance and altitude. Friends can even post messages! Get it! You'll definitely like it!

Cool app
I love this app!!! It's so cool that my friends can see my route and exact location. Also it keeps an archive of all my tracks too. I love to go back and view all the spots I ran at and went hiking at recently. My friends from other states already downloaded this app and we love to share where we are at all the time. It's great!

Great when I'm out hiking! I like to see my locations as well as monitor the distance and altitude. And when I capture photos my family can see them instantly on the website map together with my exact position.

Great App
I don't need a lot of bells and whistles, just an app that can track my route, notify others and give me a good summary....consistently. This app has proven its ability to do so for the past 2 years.
