App camera won't scan tickets on NEW phones.
Certain features are NOT phone friendly at all which defeats the purpose of having an APP.
1. You can't go back after reviewing Scratch Off info or after checking winners/winning locations. You have to start all over.
2. Winning Location Map is difficult to navigate and rarely gives you the selection you're looking for, but maybe that’s done purposely.
3. SCRATCH LOTTOS should be required to report exactly how many Scratch Off tickets were printed VS winners and update stats accordingly for factual risk. Sometimes; TOP Prizes are claimed before tickets hit stores. 🧐

What a great app... if only it worked.
You see, there is a great risk involved when something like this purports to accurately scan tickets and tell you if it’s a winner. But imagine your thoughts if your app kept telling you “Invalid Reply” after scanning a ticket. If you’re like me using this app for the first time you say to yourself, “Well, ‘Invalid Reply’ is an odd thing to state when the ticket is not a winner, but okay.”
Then out of an abundance of caution, I checked my Powerball tickets against the actual numbers and lo and behold, 2 of 4 of my tickets were winners. Not huge— only $8 total, but imagine how much more money the Louisiana Lottery Commission gets to keep when people throw away tickets the Lottery Commission’s own app errantly said we’re not winners.

Never too late to update
Thanks for finally getting this to the Louisiana people. The best feature of this much like a lot of other states apps is that you can scan all of your own lottery tickets be it a Scratch off or State lotto ticket. No more handing over your tickets to a complete stranger to possibly (this does not mean every worker is a thief) steal or defraud you out of your winnings. So keep up the good work Louisiana it’s a step in the right direction for your gaming industry.

Scan now works for me
Update: ticket scan function uses Javascript to function. If you are having trouble scanning, check Settings/Safari/Advanced. Toggle javascript on for scanning
I downloaded this primarily to scan tickets, but it hasn’t worked at all. You just end up holding the phone over the ticket with the barcode in the box and nothing happens.

Poor thought
I like to buy powerball, mega million, lotto, and pick 5, two times a week. I wish I could have one barcode and it print out all my tickets. Because most of the cashiers don’t know what to do so they scan one bring your phone back, scan again, etc.. and if they don’t remember which barcode they hit so they scan the same one again.
If you could link this up with LA Wallet to show the age of a person and have their own lottery profile you could buy tickets online without having to go to a store.

Does not scan tickets.....terrible...been inoperable since initial availability....please fix!
I WAS super excited to see this app available! I am a loyal player and saw that the scanning feature would save me time. It would also allow me to zip in the store and cash out while knowing ahead of time what the payout amount would be. The scanning feature is a failure and has been since the app came out. Seems a lot of people are having the same issue. How long could it possibly take to recognize there is a problem and fix it? All the money the lottery commission makes and they can’t get this fixed?

For the last two weeks, I’ve deleted and reinstalled this app five times. Ticket scanner not working and when I selected a game to get the winning numbers all I get are question marks. Until these glitches happened I gave this app 5 stars. Please fix the issue. I miss using this app.

Help something is wrong with the app I can’t scan any of my tickets it keeps giving me error messages there’s nowhere else I can leave a message for developers so I chose to do it here hopefully it gets seen right away thank you

App quits working
Downloaded the app about 4-5 days ago. It started out good checking my tickets was great. Then it started to stop working every now and then. Now the past two days it has quit checking tickets altogether. It just keeps saying “something went wrong”. Deleted app and reinstalled it Nd it still does not work. Very disappointed.

Worst state lottery app ever
Seriously LA! Half of the pictures don’t load. Sadly I know which unloaded image is the ticket scanner button but that doesn’t help because the scanner quit working and always comes back invalid response. If the state lottery system is this bad, no wonder LA always ranks so poorly compared to all other states for pretty much everything except good food and alcohol.
