Vee for victory,
Brief but beautiful
The graphics are great, utterly fantastic. I had to use a walkthrough here or there — and one of them was partially wrong. A Latin “X” means 10 not 5 (so just keep that in mind if you are confused). Some of it was not intuitive— I figured if I have the tool it would use it without prompting, but instead you have to drag it down. And once I didn’t click the button so it counted that as not solved. A hint prompt option would be great, some of us are perhaps less talented at solving puzzles than others.
ddietsch,
Kinda Torn, Mostly Disappointed. I hope the developers read this.
So I watched your video on how the idea began as a dream and now with the new city version, looks really cool and a great idea. Love the art style, I wanted to try the Free Lume version to see if it was a good match for me and it began pretty good. More simple that I had hoped but enjoyable and made me think. I watched a video and it made me realize how much I had missed just getting to the “power box”. The door lock was easy, I watched a video of how to do the power box and decided that it was more complex that my brain allows. I did not understand it at all, so with my disappointment I will not be buying the city version because I probably won’t be able to figure it out. But I wanted to wish your team all the luck and success because I love your style. Thanks, Sorry, Disappointed and Good Luck.
Evels,
Appreciation for the Work
The people giving this app fewer stars due to the price are obviously not aware of the amount of effort that was put into developing such a revolutionary game. Paying the price of a McDonald's happy meal to experience such a satisfying, though short, gameplay is definitely worth it if you want to support these artists. It makes me upset that people think the length it takes you to beat a game should be directly related to the price! Ridiculous. If you truly value the work of artists, it shouldn't be a problem to pay the amount of spare change you can find underneath your couch cushions.
Neily911,
Ignore the other reviews
This was the original game before lumino city. The devs have updated the graphics to make sure it matches their newer full game lumino city. This isn't a sequel for Lumino City, it was the first game before they developed lumino city, which is much longer. Keep that in mind before purchasing. Stop complaining afterwards if you didn't read the description, update notes and release history to see when it was released. So, if you want a longer game, buy lumino city. If you already have lumino city, wait for them to create a new game or release new content for that app.
Mike LinQ,
A TRUE GEM!
I don’t write reviews often unless a developer truly deserves it and these guys definitely do. Fantastic world with top notch puzzle design. Truly a gem of a game on the iOS platform.
I have played many games on iOS and 9/10 times I’m disappointed, however this game is the 1/10 that shines through.
I put this game up there with THE ROOM SERIES, which is saying a lot!

To the developers: please make more games like this with different worlds. And keep up the unique and original puzzle design.
H007,
Cute, but not fun. Unresponsive controls
I have a 6+ with the most current iOS. It was a challenge to get the girl to go where I wanted and to activate things or enlarge them. The gramophone would never play music, because no matter where I tapped it wouldn’t respond.

I got Lume because I really enjoyed Agent A and The Silent Age. They also have great graphics, but their control response is fabulous and activating objects works very well, unlike Lume that requires excessive and what feels like unnecessary tapping and things still don’t work. Perhaps it’s user error on my part. I’ll just replay the other two previously mentioned games again, because they are what I was hoping Lume would be similar to.

Not worth the money
It's a beautiful game and everything (and I realize all the work gone into hand making everything) but you pay $2 for maybe 10 puzzles. If your not familiar with the game play you just have to click all over the screen until some thing just happens to pop up. It might not be so bad on a computer or iPad but on my phone it took forever to even find the puzzles. This should honestly be a free preview for the long game or just have been a tutorial for gameplay included in the "next chapter"
digital bb,
too difficult?
Maybe I'm a little slow but even after going through a walk-though or two, I still thought... huh? I still didn't see how someone got that answer. The graphics were great so they got got three of the stars but puzzles only got one star. I got through the first few puzzles but I guess I didn't save right because I lost everything. And so far I haven't got the patience to go back and try again. The $5 wasn't a big deal, actually thought it was a bargin.

Point-and-click meh-fest...
Anyone who thinks this game is inspirational or took time to create is clearly ignorant of what it takes to make a game. The sequel might be better, I don't know, but this is not worth paying for. At all.

Point and click games of any genre require the least programming of any other game type, and the least amount of effort to make. The art style is lovely, but super simplistic and cannot have taken long to make.

The puzzles are fairly straightforward and not difficult, but figuring out how to find all the parts for the last puzzle was impossible without looking it up. Even the music puzzle didn't require audio to solve. There were five notes shown on a scale, and a keyboard to type in that pattern.

I'm not even interested in looking at the sequel. Point and click games are either too obvious, or literally impossible without knowing the solution ahead of time. There is no middle-ground in this genre.

Simply incredible stuff! It's been a long time since I've seen such a beautiful game, what a marvel to behold. The music is delightful,The puzzle are challenging, But not impossible. Each time you solve one, it feels like a satisfying accomplishment. The graphics alone, drawl you to the game and make you want to play! So calming and yet inspirational! This is gaming done right! A lot of love, care and attention to detail went into this experience.
Worth every penny.
