Gavan W.,
Honestly My Favorite Game
I love this game, it is just challenging enough to keep me playing but at the same time it is mindless enough for me to play in any mental state throughout the day.

I have just two criticisms that, if fixed, will get this app the best 5 star rating I am able to give. First, this game needs a mute option. The audio is not necessary to the game play and it makes it really hard to listen to music or a podcast while playing. Second, when I attack another player it speeds through the attack to finish in a couple seconds, but when the computer attacks with a large army it takes foreverrrrr. These are not huge changes and I’m excited to move my rating to a 5 star with these simple fixes!
00cho,
Fun game, but algorithm errors.
I like the game but it has problems. The developer claims that the algorithms are fair. I would dispute that. The errors become more apparent as the game progresses and the size of armies gets into the hundreds range.

There are accounting errors. Sometimes when moving armies, I click on a country with X armies and suddenly the counter says 2X. If I move all the armies, that country now has -X armies in it, and if i move armies back, X armies disappear before the counter starts incrementing.

There are also apparent odds miscalculations. Especially for red, I consistently see attacking armies with a 2:3 ratio winning battles. The defending army should win the vast majority of these battles. I have even been attacked by red and lost when I had a 2:1 advantage. This should be virtually impossible. I also see a behavior where sequential attacks on an enemy consistently fail, up to ten times, but choosing another attack country and then switching back resets the odds, and then it behaves normally. A sequence of ten sequential losses is so statistically unlikely that it should not happen. I think that if the developer published his algorithms, or at least the odds equations, the errors would become apparent.
Deadmeatagain,
The Best Free and Most Fun Strategy
My free opinion is this game is awesome. Lux brings three important factors: it is free, it is fun, and it is challenging. First and most important, it is free. When you decide you want more, pay for the upgrade! Either way, the game is great! Second and most noteworthy, it is fun. I play and enjoy this game almost daily and have played it for years. My Pop love it, so much, he bought the upgrade. Pop and I talked about this game and played it together for years. Third and equally as important to the first two, it is challenging. I find myself wining the majority of the time, due to learning how the game plays. However, I must stay resilient to play with strategy in mind. Sometimes, you just get your bit kicked. My conclusion is this game is awesome, it is FREE, it is FUN, and it is CHALLENGING.
ryansssacc,
Love this game some suggestions
Let me start off by saying, this game is great and will continue to be great (if ea doesn’t takeover, that is) I’ve played this game for years and no matter how much I play it doesn’t get old. I also love how there are no ads it makes the game so enjoyable. My suggestion are

1: make the game mutable, if I play this game for hours I want to be able to play music instead of just listening to the sound effects

2: make a way to make the AIs turn go faster when they are attacking it takes forever.

3: make it linkable by internet my dad and I love playing this game but I wish we could play it together

4: change the ais strategy it’s really easy to win if you know what they are going to do and how they’ll do it.

5: maybe make a tutorial, when I first started it took me around a week to learn what a tutorial could have thought me in an hour.

These are all just suggestions and weather you add them in or not it will still be a great game and I will always come back, just please don add ads and don’t sell it to ea XP cheers!
Saturnphive,
Simply the game i play most
I’ve had this game on my device since my first ipod touch (gen 2) and have carried it through to every device i’ve ever owned since. Its simple, the colors have consistent personalities, and it takes basically exactly as long as you need to ignore the grunter going on in the next stall. Sorry to offend your delicate Victorian sensibilities, but this is the perfect game for when nature calls.
The computer cheats occasionally, and God help you if you let Red get out of hand, but i grew up playing F-Zero and Mariokart. If the computer doesnt cheat a little its not fun. Best version of Risk ever made except maybe the one i had on my Mac SE when i was 8. But that was in black and white (and still cheated).
magnusviri,
My favorite game
I use to play this on the old original Mac. I remember when it was hard to figure out why the computer did what it did, but now I obviously figured it mostly out, and it is still fun. Even though I win nearly every time, it is still fun. In fact, I try to trap all of the AI’s into Africa in such a way that nobody attacks anyone (black must divide two other AI’s and have more armies then them, but not so much that it will attack itself) and it goes forever in an AI stalemate.

I realize the paid version has different AI’s and is harder. Oh well. Still fun.
Ameldia Rose Wallice,
Synced games would be awesome!
Love this game! Have been playing it for like 8 years now! I would really like to see a three player version for free though. It wouldn't need anything fancy. Just Super basic! There's no way I can justify spending money on a game. No matter how good it is. As it is, my sisters and I all play separate games against each other. Just imagine if all the devices were synced, and we could see the board with each other on it each on our own device. That would be awesome!
Transitech,
Not a good game (free version)
Not a good game. The computer program is rigged to let you win. Yellow is a chaos character where it goes for broke every turn, very easy to take out. Black sometimes goes hog wild but most it just stays and builds in one country. Red will always distribute armies equally across all occupied countries and will only take one country at a time until a given point and then goes chaotic. Green will casually build upon and will only take one country at a time and will never attack you until a certain point in the game, which is 99 percent of the when you have a turn in the next turn. If you know all of the above you can win the game every time. This game (the free version) doesn't at all give you the real skills necessary for the true game of Risk.
TilleyNJ,
Great little game
While sometime frustrating, this game had been a mainstay on my devices for years. Takes only a few minutes to play, but you can play for hours.

It's basically the game of risk. Each color has their own play style and you get to know how each will react to how you leave the board. Yellow is my nemesis. I can't understand why sometimes the random win/loss is so 'against the odds', but I will say that it works both ways.
hnhnhn(nhnhnhnhnhnhnhhh,
Not bad
This game is fun and hard and makes you work but one thing I want to say is the reepers in the game are supposed to be hard but they are not and the yellow guys are supposed to be on medium level but I feel like they are are harder then the black guys. But the game over all is good.

Ps. the Lux dlx has harder purple guys and the black guys are harder and you get to choose your map and level I got it free like for this free week thing even though it costs 4 dollars, but it still is a little better.
