Perfect for Older Devices
It's hard to find games that work on my iPhone 3GS without crashing, but Kairosoft always delivers! I've had none of the glitches reported on newer devices. (If you're familiar with iPhone games in general and Kairosoft in specific, not all of them support rotation, so that hardly counts as a "glitch".) Gameplay is a cross between GameDev and some of their "adventure" style games where you send your people on missions to gather resources and ideas. Quite engaging, but rather short compared to Ninja or Beastie. My favorite part is having a penguin, a polar bear, a chimp, and a robot on my staff. :D

Good fun from Kairosoft
As expected this game provides a lot of combinations in the newspaper design options. There are some funny moments here and there. The game is slow to start but we are given 19 yrs instead of the usual 16 yrs to calculate score. Overall a memorable title with good replay value. I found it quite compelling to play.
I was hoping for more character art variety and I missed the usual funny character names. It is a bit difficult to earn Knowledge points but that does add a level of challenge.
I prefer to pay for games and this was worth it. Money well spent.

Pretty much like game dev
Fun and back to the roots of the company. No right combination, you have to connect topics with the target customer. Interesting twist that you help run the city council, adds to the fun. And there are boosts to give your employees, so there isn't necessarily 'best' employees; i didn't hire any new employees after the last branch expansion. So fun, even though it kinda runs out of steam at the end. Worth the money to help independent game companies.

Finally another Kairo game similar to Game Dev story with some fun new changes! I am in love! Only stopped playing to write this review,happy gaming everyone! I am however going to put my review at 4 stars. Game can only be played in portrait mode. Also this app MUST have rotation added. I hate playing games with home button and power cord only at the bottom, it bends the cord if you're resting it while playing for long periods. This game truly is fun but screen rotation really needs to be added to at least allow the power cord to be up top.

Need improvement
Another fun game from kairosoft! there are only two things that I want them to improve on in this game. 1st is that it sometimes crashes and puts me back into the home screen (save often to prevent loss of game play), 2nd is at the end of the game when theh calculate your clear points, the words are still in japanese. Those are the only two things that they need to fix, in my opinion. Other than that another entertaining game!

Hello again I just wanted to say that the game has been fixed and I'm quite happy with it! I love this just like game dev story. Great game! Keep it up KAIROSOFT! I recommended this to my friend by the way. She said she'll get it soon. Also one thing, can u make ur games free? My mom doesn't like it when I get games that cost money. Anyway, love it!

Hey guys. Unfortunately this is the first 3 stars I have given for a kairosoft game. I'm just not so big on horse races (especially after playing Grand Prix story). This wasn't that exciting, but regardless it is a very well made game with a great story line just like the other games. If you know you will have fun with horse racing I would get it. If you aren't that fond of horses, save the money. Still love you kairosoft <3

If you're reading this you're probably in the same position I was in. You played Game Dev Story, and you want another game like it.
Stop reading this and buy this game. It's easily my second favorite Kairosoft game, and I'm a total nerd who has played them all multiple times. It's Game Dev Story with magazines.

Great Game from Kairosoft (again)
I'm a huge fan of all of Kairosoft's games, and this one really took me back to the beginning. The game is essentially a port of their flagship Game Dev Story, but it takes the concept and makes it original and unique. Definitely worth $5 in my book!

It's good, but...
It is like game dev story, but there are no auras except by using an item. Also your readers increase by advertising only, and they don't seem to affect actual sales? In game dev story you had to save money to build your own console but there is no high end goal in this game. Still worth the money, but inferior to previous titles.
