Love app when it works
I have an issue with the screen turning black and after reading the comments I do t want to delete app and reinstall because people stated their purchases weren't restored. I love it when it works because the video is clear and can go in slow motion. I've always been a fan of Marlee as an actress and her teaching ASL is awesome but I purchased all the lessons and don't want to chance losing them all by deleting and reinstalling, it's not an issue of them never working it's that they stopped working so it was not a download issue. I'm losing my hearing and want to learn ASL as my granddaughter learned to sign before she could speak and I like teaching her new signs and look forward to teaching my other grandchildren.
Good luck trying to get tech or app support the site it takes you too is not helpful at all. Very disappointing

Really wanted to like this app
Overall the app has some good teaching abilities, to learn specific signs, IF it’s working. I keep having the problem of having downloaded the packs I’ve bought but when I try to access them I get an error message. So far the only way I’ve found to correct this is to delete the app and then reinstall it and reinstate purchases. Too much work when there are better apps out there, very obnoxious to have the lessons working one day and then not working the next.

I'm ten years old and definitely have a interest in signing. This app is a great way for anyone to learn sign language and it provides for all ages too. So far mine hasn't had a black screen but I also have a iOS (Apple iPhone) that might be a problem. Otherwise this is a wonderful app! I would like to make an update to my review I have had this app for about two years and I absolutely love it but when I got on they other day some of the screens were black and so far only my "you" lessons have been working. :( so please if you can fix this problem I know I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you!!

Excellent! Wish I didn’t have to purchase stuff though...
I love this app because the signs are done very clearly, and unlike another app we tried, this one allows you to tap to get it to do the sign in slow motion. This is extremely helpful for obvious reasons.
The woman who does the signing is very nicely dressed and well kept, so nice to have to watch to learn, and she mouths what she’s signing very clearly as well.
The only gripe I have is that to be able to progress further than the initial few things, you have to pay for lesson packs. They’re not expensive, but I’d prefer to be able to do them for free.

Great app but bugs
I love this app but after a while the screens were turning black and I could no longer access some packages so I decide to look at the comments and multiple people are having this problem too and then I saw that if you deleted the app and then restored your purchases it would fix the bug. So I decided to try that and when I restored the purchases it said no purchases were found?! And I really loved learning this app but now I don't have access to all the purchases I had bought before. Please help!

I love the app, but have had to uninstall, reinstall, restore purchases. Often the screen is black. Today, I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I have a strong internet connection, but it won’t restore my purchases. I had purchased ALL of the lessons.
Update: Today it restored my purchases, but the screen is still black. I have a strong internet connection, and did not at anytime lose the connection. I’m hard of hearing, and have been trying to practice my ASL. I’m very disappointed.

I was happy to see Marlee made an app. She is such a high profile deaf person so I know people would check this app out. As a deaf person, I like to see what is out there so I can refer it to friends when they ask what is good. I was dismayed when the first thing I looked at was the finger spelling/alphabet. She shows g and h incorrectly. I can understand that she probably showed it that way to show how the handshake should look, but she didn’t elaborate- she just did it wrong and moved to the next letter. I deleted the app. There are better apps out there that are more accurate and have dictionary of signs.

Love but messing up
I have purchased ALL of the add ons. Years ago. I never deleted the app but got a new phone, still iPhone, and then none of my purchases would show up. I got frustrated after trying several attempts and just removed it. After putting it right back on two of the purchases showed up for me to download and I did. They worked great for a few months now they say I need to download when I have WiFi to watch offline. I am connected to our WiFi, they have already been downloaded and still will not work.
The website for the app created is not available so who do I contact for help? I would give 5 stars if this app actually worked.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This app is AMAZING! I absolutely love it. I have learned SO much from this app. It's incredible how much you can learn in each package and it's only $2 for each additional package which is a steal. You can learn these on the internet, like everything else, but Marlee has been signing her entire life and knows what she is doing. I suggest downloading the free package and if you like it, additional packages are definitely worth it. Wish there were more packages!

Great app! Problem with black screen fixed after re downloading the app
I love this app, it's easy to use and understand, I was learning so much from Marlee until the packages that I purchased all turned into black screens. There are other comments addressing the same issue and today I decided to just chance it- i deleted the app and re downloaded it again. Turns out, you can restore your purchases and guess what?! It worked! All the videos are back! Yay!
