Perfect for Quarantine, Perfect for Me
I bought a full year subscription to Marquee because 1) it was discounted 2) there was a particular ballet I wanted to watch that I couldn't find easily elsewhere. I am soooo glad I gifted myself this app! I love to watch all the classical ballets, but Marquee has opened my world up to things like contemporary works and opera. Also very impressed with the variety of content, and that they are constantly updating the collections. The video player is very easy to use. The only improvement I can think of: ability to create multiple, custom-named playlists instead of just one "Watch Later" list. Other than that...I really hope Marquee remains popular enough to stick around! I will be heartbroken if it goes away. Keep up the great service!

Wonderful App
I joined Marquee temporarily to see the Nutcracker and was amazed at all of the great performances. Just about any Shakespeare play ever written and all of the great operas, ballets and classical performances are available in high definition. Bach's St John’s Passion was so moving the way it was photographed and Carmen filmed in the Sydney Harbor made me feel like I was there. Thanks for creating something that’s been missing way too long. Now anyone can enjoy the arts at a reasonable price.

Good selection of programming. Varying quality.
There is a lot worth watching on the platform. My main reasons for four instead of five stars are limited subtitle options (bad translations, out of sync with the performance) and I wish the repertoire of operas available was more varied. I also have an active subscription for Met Opera on demand and I find their selection of available opera performances superior, and their app is better designed. That said, I have loved the dance programming on offer from Marquee TV, and that definitely helps it compete with other apps.

Several issues
App has many issues. Will not cast productions to Apple TV. Freezes and never loads once connected. When you download operas to watch offline, there’s no way to access subtitles. Also, when streaming from the Apple TV app, there is no way to transfer the sound to another device. You can select an alternate option like HomePod or AirPods but it will default back to the tv sound system. All of these things make the app practically useless unless you want to simply watch on your iPad or phone.

Best app ever!
I have been watching the ballets and they are fabulous! The quality of the recordings are amazing and I cannot say enough about this ballet company, orchestra, and all who make a production possible. I can’t wait to watch another show! The perfect distraction during the Stay At Home lockdown!

Be aware of the problem of not letting you cancel.
If you subscribe from its website, and use this app, you cannot cancel your subscription on the app - furthermore, you can't even cancel it on the webpage if you logged in the account with your google email. (I still CANNOT cancel it as of now)
There is simply no cancellation button on the account management page - I have never seen anything more ridiculous than this.
Please rethink when you subscribe. The contents are good, the website/app are poorer than one can ever imagine.

Captions Too Small
Do not subscribe to this app if you need to read captions to follow Royal Shakespeare Company productions. The captions are way too small to be read, even on a TV screen, and there is no way to adjust them. When I reported this to Marquee customer support, I was told that the captions were small so they could be “adjusted,” which makes no sense whatsoever. I had to cancel my subscription.

Love Marquee!
I have subscribed for a few years. I like using it on multiple platforms - e.g., tablet for cardio workouts, roku for an evening’s viewing. Marquee especially helped during the pandemic while we were cut off from live performances!

Amazing
This app has saved me during this time at home. I have been able to watch amazing art and not feel like I've wasted one moment of my day watching worthless tv. This app is EVERYTHING!!!

Great content, poor stability
We tried out this app for a Shakespeare production that used Marquee for their streaming. The library is impressive, the technical stability is the opposite. The stream constantly froze while watching, would randomly back up multiple minutes, and crash. I love the potential, but would only pay again if they fix the streaming quality.
