I really love the concept of this, but so far I have been plagued with buggy touch controls that will often press on a space I did not mean to be pressing and it will reveal a mine and a map that I was being very careful on will suddenly be over and it feels really crappy because I feel like I didn’t make a mistake, the game just chose to click when I just wanted to turn. I’ve tried changing the way I rotate the cube multiple times, even by not touching the cube at all, but this issue of it clicking spaces keeps coming up. And speaking of the camera, please add more options for panning around the cube. Some of the angles that I have to work with on the higher level cubes are just terrible and make it really hard to accurately see where your pressing, and again it feels really bad to lose a game because the game clicked somewhere I was trying to go.

I was surprised to see that someone made a game like this. It was something I didn’t know I needed. Bringing the classic game into a 3D space adds a very interesting challenge to it. And this game translates it perfectly over. Seriously, props to the developer for nailing this. Everything down to the design of the blocks to the functionality of the game is great. There’s no lag, it runs smoothly and is a very responsive even with touch controls.

Now, to the business side of things. I greatly appreciate ads not being in this game. They’d destroy the near therapeutic nature of it. I am willing to pay for the £1.99 price tag to access the PRO features of the game. But I also feel the game is enjoyable if one doesn’t pay for this. And what one gets upon paying to me it worth this amount, especially due to how well the game runs and plays. And the fact that there is a dedicated discord server to hang out with with other players is amazing.

My only “complaint” is that at times I’ve accidentally lost a game thanks to my finger lingering on a block while I moving it around. This is something I feel will stop happening through continued play, and in the settings you can change how long before your hold activates a block.

Seriously. Download this game. And please, support the creator by shelling out for the pro version, they deserve every penny.

I really love this game. The idea of a 3-D minesweeper really intrigue me and I was not disappointed. The only problem I have is there is way to much pay only content. You have to pay to do anything above 8x8 and you have to pay to access challenges. It’s kind of stupid that you have to pay to really enjoy the game more. Although if you like minesweepers and your looking for a fun game I would totally recommend this one. You just have to pay to do more stuff (it gets boring after a while of doing the same stuff.

The only other thing I didn’t like was the way you place flags. You tap to place flags and hold to uncover something. In the original minesweeper it was opposite and that was so much better. They should include an option to change that.

This game is great! There’s one problem with the design: I always lose right near the end because I accidentally press and hold (reveal a cube) when I meant to tap (flag a mine).

If I press and I’m uncertain of my decision, I will hesitate. A better design would be to either make the flag feature a tap and hold (to prevent accidental reveals from hesitation), and the reveal a single tap, or better yet make a dedicated button for flagging on the HUD. This would ensure I do not make any annoying mistakes. Otherwise, great idea, great game!

The game is great fun to play. Which makes the fact that 85% of it is locked behind a paywall even more angering.

I understand that the developers need people to pay. But, just personal experience here, I tend to pay for games that don’t feel hostile to me. This game constantly reminds you that you’ve only been allowed to play it out of the developer’s immense generosity, and if you want anything more than a demo, you’ll have to fork it over.

5 stars for game quality, -2 stars for aggressive paywall.

When I first saw this game I was skeptical of it being any better than a regular minesweeper game but after playing it i realized i was very wrong. The game plays and functions great, there’s unlimited sizes and competitive leaderboards, but the thing that’s best about this app is the very active discord group where you can nerd out about minesweeper with many other players. If you like minesweeper at least give this game a try, it’s well worth it.

The Campaign mode seems to have two sets of mine-cubes for each size of cube if you start from the same location. This might lead to people abusing that for fast times if they know where enough mines are. Also, Time Attack gives you time based on how many squares you uncover, even when you start. This leads to stressful 8s starts when you randomly uncover only 9 squares. Issues aside, this is a great way to pass time and I’m really enjoying this take on minesweeper.

If you hate yourself, try to play this whilst drinking.

Seriously though, I upgraded to Pro because these creators have made a darn good, addictive AF game. I’m afraid to join the Discord out of fear I will fall down the rabbit hole and start playing it in 4D in my dreams like the chess girl in the Queen’s Gambit. The game is such a simple concept, but it’s a complete improvement over the original.

Only suggested update: button to toggle between flag and reveal bc I keep fat fingering those flags. Wahboooommmmm. (Except don’t do this because I like being able to blame the sensitive controls when I fail again and again. Wahbooooooommm. )

Also, Time Crisis mode is impossible, and I’m pretty sure anyone who can do it has robot fingers (or they’re playing on PC/Mac).

I read reviews and see the developer is responsive to suggestions. There are no ads. The game is challenging, and has some chill music. What else could I ask for? This developer made exactly what I want in a game. I upgraded to pro just to pay my gratitude. I will likely pay again, just because.

I will try to check back in the future to see if an update has been released to fix the controls. At this point there’s no point playing anymore really. Three times in a row I was almost finished with a puzzle and tried to rotate the cube and instead it registered that I wanted to reveal a space and triggered a bomb. Game over.
