First of its kind
Graphics may seem a little hazy but I love that about the game. It actually seems more realistic than war robots given the fact that even the heavy bots “stand a chance.” Reality wise a naturally larger bot you’d assume to destroy a smaller bot quite easily. The sound effects are killer, abilities not too op, and the running/ flying mechanics are awesome. The reason I have rated it five stars wasn’t just because of all that it’s because you can “respawn” endlessly until the match ends. No more losses of entire hangers from pay to win slouches. Free to play have a chance of fighting back :) The more powerful the bot the longer the cooldown which I like. I feel a sense of accomplishment when the powerful bots are destroyed. And the first bot you start out with actually is powerful. War robots I had to change from robot to robot to robot only to never find an end to the pay to win chaos. The balance is very fair in this game as where every bot can fly and every player can select what power ups they want to use in the battlefield. It costs silver currency which is 10x better than that bogus energy cell stuff that takes forever to gain and so quick to deplete(war robots). Lastly the maps and the amount of strategy you can input into this game is endless. I don’t mind the ai one bit they are just practice for when a real player ends up on the enemy team which is what I love most. Good job 👍

Breath of Fresh Air After Playing War Robots
Me and my two sons have been playing War Robots for about two years now. After a lot of grinding, and spending a lot of money to get robots that have a chance of winning and having some fun I thought I would give Mech Wars a try. Yes the graphics are not quite as good as were robots and it lacks refinement and several areas, however the gameplay is just super fun and fast paced. The way the robots are constructed you can feel successful right from the beginning and not feel like you have to pour tons of money into the game in order to keep up. Many of theAbilities are done in such a way that you can apply them to any robot, like flying, shields, damage bonus, etc. which means you have endless possibilities to play how you want. there’s a lot more flexibility for play styles other than brawling. If you want, you can snipe and actually still have fun, as opposed to war robots.

Could be should be but it isn’t
Could be one of the best games but it isn’t. Why? Too many glitches that never get fixed. On big game nights the servers are overloaded and game constantly crashes. On a good night you will take on someone from the Asian servers who you can’t even scratch much less have a fair match. This has been going on for months. Why isn’t it fixed?!? Have to watch a video at the end of each match to double award but you have to reboot game after or there’s no chance to double reward. Why?!? Then there are hackers players that are unstoppable but no way to get rid of them. Amazing how this is supposed to be a random game but you fight the same 5 or 6 people all the time. Maybe it isn’t that good after all… All kinds of updates but glitches never seem to get fixed. Why would I spend money on a game that remains flawed? Trust me when I say when it’s good it’s very good, maybe even great but seldom lasts. Random crashes, jerky video and matches where you can’t create any damage. That is the norm for the last 6 months. I don’t want to give up but this is the worst supported game I have played in a very long time and yes I have great internet bandwidth, have played for almost a year and played many multi player games so the feedback is real.

Good game. Just needs a few updates to make it better
The “other” war mech game pairs actual people against each other. I would like to see that to be added to this game. Unless the other players are confused and don’t know play the objective or they get stuck in one place and can’t move... seems like it is NPC’s. I don’t necessarily want to play npc’s. I really like the game. Good job on it. I like the upgrading system where you can watch as many videos as you like to speed up progress as well as upgrade as many weapons and robots and other things all at the same time. This really helps a lot to speed up the progress I really appreciate that feature. Great game. I love the simplicity of it. Please keep bringing out new content, robots, weapons, and other things. Keep it up. Now, back to playing again....

Disgusting Update
Not sure why the devs decided to ruin this fun game but they did with an update that came out today. Absolutely loved this game..until today. The devs showed us 2 days ago what was coming in this update and although it met with 100% negative comments from the player base, they went ahead and made the update active today. They are making this game 100% pay to win for all. I don’t see why any newcomer would stay to play this game after seeing what was done to the workshop. We needed more new players and now that option will be gone. I personally have invested quite a bit of money in this game because it was fun, loved it and it has fantastic clans and friends. I will not be spending another cent on this game the way they made it today. As of today I will be boycotting the game in hopes it will return to what it was yesterday. The devs have totally made this a game of greed. I left another game solely for that reason. I won’t fall into that trap again. I won’t hesitate to make this boycott permanent. Wake up devs! Your player base is talking to you...we don’t plan to play the game the way it is today. Tempted to ask Apple if I can get a refund for all I spent here. Game has been totally changed from the game I invested in.

The game would perhaps benefit from a game mode in which the challenge is to retrieve a “token” (could be an extra experience bonus or whatever) assigned to each player, it can be color coded and also maybe just make the player alone aware of their mission (the token not visible to other players). Each player would be only able to pick up their respective token. This would allow for the “hunting” of each other in the game. As the pattern of the player trajectory becomes obvious. And it would give players reasons to explore the map and not just remain in one spot. Good work overall. Thanks!

Good overall not ptw
Controls are strait forward and easy to use, but tend to freeze up at critical points. Game play is short enough to be playable, but not too long to be a drag on your day. However, the ai is almost useless, So if you are playing assault, you need to figure out a way to capture the base and defend yours pretty much solo. Try and avoid that problem by only playing the death match? No worries, your ai buddies will help you out by dying faster than you can kill the opponent without killing anything. The ai forces you to loose matches until you are at a win rate right at 60%. PvP would be better if there was a way to filter your opponents. Playing vs a credit card hero, or someone who has obviously hacked the game is common, but is worth having patience if you get an evenly matched opponent. Overall a good 3 star game and worth holding onto for further updates. I can see this game becoming a 5 star if they don’t get greedy.

Great Game but Urgently needs Updates
I love this Battletech based game for its great mechanics and fun play even if the English is terrible. There are some key issues that really need to be addrsssed:
1) The game needs to be controllable with a standard external game control for iOS. Playing it “touch” on screen is murder on the fingertips and joints.
2) rather than just having the “fire all weapons” button along with the single buttons for each gun (which is awkward and you can’t use two at the same time) there should be programmable combos so you can replace those single gun buttons with you choice of “gun combo” buttons that allow you to select a subset of guns to fire at once, such as long, short range, missiles only, etc...
3) better integration with Discord so you can control which voice or text channel you’re in. in game chat is terrible and should just be scrapped.
4) a robot class between medium/large and prime. Prime robots cannot be fought with segmented robots. It’s pointless.
5) show a roster of both sides before the match
6) figure out why there are “disconnect” freezes which get you kicked that regularly happen even when our internet connection is great.

Great Game
The first mech game I ever played was MechWarrior 2, and I have long missed it since it went out of production. War Robots is the best mech game I’ve found since. The game mechanics are moderately different, but I find it similarly engaging.
There are a vast number of available robots and weapons, allowing hundreds of custom robots configurations. Graphics are gorgeous; I keep noticing fine details as I play that I never would have thought of that enhance the experience.
It took me a while to start playing in team (clan) battles, but it really gives new challenges, particularly when you reach the advanced experience levels.
My only criticism is that the costs are ridiculously high for further improvements/upgrades for the more powerful robots and weapons. I understand that they shouldn’t be easy, but they are set at levels where it is essentially impossible without spending a lot of real money on in-game currency.
All that said, I still give this game two thumbs up!

Don’t waste your time
I have played this game for 5 years. Momend switches between abandoning the players to punishing them with bad updates. For the last two years every update fixed a few things but broke more than it fixed. Player feedback is asked for but mostly not followed. In an effort to increase revenue, which I can understand making a profit, they screwed ver the veterans who have played the game for years by nerfing the bots/weapons that they grinded hundreds of hours for and made resources you saved virtually worthless. You can ‘buy’ now with real world cash what you used to be able to buy with credits earned by playing the game. What a shame. They have proven that they don’t care about fair gameplay and have effectively destroyed what used to be an excellent, and my favorite, pvp game. My advice is to go elsewhere and avoid Momend products.
