It's missing something...

Imagine this, your floating down when you see something cool, you want to go check it out but you pass it, and you don't have enough power to get back up, what if you could attach a rope to the wall and use momentum to swing back up, you should add ropes! It would truly add to the expierience of floating around and having fun!

Beautiful in so many ways...

This is easily the best app ever. I love the haunting feel it has. It's haunting and amazing. This app sounds perfect in earbuds with some Hans Zimmer music playing. It's a perfect match. Melodive plus Hans Zimmer music equals perfection. This app is amazeballs and is very addictive. I'd love to be able to read the words a little better. A little more music choices and bigger particles. That's bout all it's missing. I deleted this a long time ago and idk why I did. I actually regret it, now that I re-downloaded it. This app is so beautiful and eerie but it's so great. I'm in love with this app and it's almost impossible to stop playing.

Wonderful Trippyness

This app is amazing! 5 stars! Yes, the controls take time to get used to but once you get a feel for them, BOOM! You can go wherever you want! The key is to only tap the boost. Too much boost sends you spinning; too little and you have no control at all.
The graphics are wonderfully trippy and the music is insane! And the best part is that everything is customizable! I keep mine on 0 gravity because i prefer not to struggle against a force, instead I can simply whip around the cloud-like islands without a care in the world.

Overall, one of the best games on the app store! LOVE IT!!!

So much potential, but...

This game is very beautiful, but the controls are really horrible. There is only one difficulty setting, and that is frustratingly hard. The settings panels are a little too cutesy for my tastes, and they are hard to read, understand and use. Navigation and control in gameplay is terrible and unintuitive. While you should logically always be moving forward thru the landscape, most of the time you seem to be going backward where you can't even see where you're going, or how to change direction. In addition to difficulty settings, there should be an "auto" mode where you can just drift thru the landscape effortlessly, perhaps just guiding it along. What could have been an enjoyable and relaxing game is instead just frustrating and annoying.

I recommend it

As others have said in their reviews, well worth the money.
It's a small thing, but I feel that more work needs to be done on the music sequencer/composer. What I would like to see edited are the little particles, they're hard to tap on, please make them a little larger. Also, you need more sound styles, it sounds like 80's techno-pop. Maybe find a way to add notes that are held for more than one beat. The game itself is fantastic.

Easily one of the best games on iOS

This game takes a second to get the hang of, however don't let that stop you from trying to get better. This is probably one of the most fun flying games I've played. If the author would open up the world a small bit and add in some baddies to shoot at, it would be the best Asteroids sequel, ever.

However that game would not be Melodive, it would become a new game. So I guess I'm really asking for a new game. How about it?

Nothing like it

The closest I can come to describing this is saying it gave me back the feeling I had way back when I played Descent for the first time, only the desire to shoot things has been replaced by a pure sense of innocent wonder. It also reminds me a little bit of Flower, only more freeform.

If you’re lucky enough to be able to run this on the latest generation of iThings, it’s so smooth it’s like an extension of your body - or mind.

Phenomenal

Absolutely stunning. After playing, I came back here and was surprised to see how old this game is. It stands the test of time and is among the best iOS game experiences I've had in 2016. I can see myself revisiting this game for months to come. The challenging yet intuitive flight controls mix with the stunning trippy visuals mixed with the ever present drive to dive deeper and deeper make this game a wonderful meditative escape.

Hidden Gem

To tell the truth, my purchase of this app was a complete accident. After acquiring this game in a rather unorthodox way and testing it out, I realized that this is as close as it comes to love at first sight (or first play). If you're unsure about getting the game, just know that its graphics, adjustable sensitivity, and evoking drive are worth it.

amazing game

it's 2016 and I've had this game for years. this game is great and it was made so long ago. it's hard to get used to at first but once you get the hang of it, it's crazy... especially with headphones. I'm just curious as to what happened to the dev... never made a new game or anything
