Description
The story of Emily from Merge Matters is a mysterious one. Emily, her husband Oscar, and their 6-months old son Oliver were enjoying family life, until something weird happened. The couple received a letter with no return address, which was followed by Oscar’s disappearance.
Now, Emily and her son are all alone in her villa. To find clues about her husband’s disappearance, she has to carry out home restoration and fix everything that’s broken. They just moved in recently, so there is a lot to repair!
In an effort to help Emily find her husband, you have to clean up the building, reorganize it, and fix broken things, from faucets and electricity to furniture. Throughout the game, you will meet Emily’s parents, bankers, and detectives. New evidence regarding Oscar’s disappearance will unravel as the game progresses. Restore the house and find new evidence to help Emily reconnect with her husband.

I don’t know if this is by design or if it’s a glitch, but aside from ONE energy point taking TEN MINUTES to refill, it doesn’t fill in the background?! I woke up this morning with same 2 energy points I went to sleep with. I think I’ll delete this game and wait until some improvements are made because that is the thinnest veiled money grab I have ever encountered.
Update 1/18 — they listened to the biggest criticism (energy taking an absurd amount of time to fill) so it went from longer than 10 minutes down to 4, which is great. The only other things I would appreciate seeing are countdown timers on item generating things, and an option to buy items in the store (similar to Merge Mansion). It’s infinitely more playable now, and with additions such as those I mentioned would quickly make it my new favorite.

Very fun, but tons of issues
I really like this game and I play pretty much everyday. There are a lot of issue I have with the game.
1. Some goals take way too long to meet because it takes forever to get the items you need. For example, I needed a candle for a task. In order to get a candle, you need beeswax. Beeswax comes from the beehive, which is created by merging bees. Bees come from flowers, which are made from seeds that come from the watering cans. No matter how much you merge the water and, only one seed comes out per cycle. You need I think 16 seeds to merge all the way to a full flower, which produces the bees. 3 bees come from a flower, and the flowers are a one time use. You need tons of bees to merge all the way to the beehive which produces the wax. I just made it to that level of the beehive and felt relieved that I made it after over a month, just to find out that the beehive only produces TWO wax pellets AND that it is also a one time use. Two pellets isn’t enough to make a candle. So I’m back to square one. This leads me to my next issue.
2. Task disappear after a while. I’ve been working towards the candle task for over a month. Yesterday, not too long before I merged enough to get some wax, the task disappeared from my list. This has happened three times now for different tasks. They don’t say you having a certain amount of time to complete it. Extremely annoying.

Fun, but reallll slow
It can pass the time but only for 10-15 minutes as energy runs out due to the tasks. It seems that the daily tasks + the regular tasks all want the same items over and over or very high level items that use multiple machines and you use all of your energy trying to get a single piece to a 50 piece puzzle. I’ve been trying to get a piece of ceramic for 9 days. Things that like make game play less enjoyable. In reference to tasks wanting the same items, you can hardly get the items you need because there is so little variety in the outputs of the machines. A certain machine will spit out 4 different items but you really only get one the whole time and then all of its energy is gone and you have to wait 2 hours + to be able to use the machine again. It seems like the only way to get anywhere is to watch 20 ads a day. While I appreciate the option of free, an ad for items and boosting machines every 5 minutes is just too much. I really want to like this game but when it’s all high level items/items that are impossible to retrieve from the same machines over and over it makes game play way less fun than it could be.

Spawn rate
You can play till a certain point then it’s just impossible to get the items cuz the spawn rate of an item is too rare like tape is I’m in need of bolts but I can’t get tape I’m sure if I had more tool boxes I might atleast get 1 out of 2 spawn charges which doesn’t drop a lot even if it’s leveled up Watering cans dropping just one item no matter what level it is is just a waste I now have 2 watering cans and 4 lamps previously 5 till I sold it for more room there’s just not enough room to drop stuff to merge so u can have a power drill level drop item and takes forever to get enough coins to even buy a storage space With the flaws of this game it’s okay but could use some fixing and it will be better Yes this is basically a merge mansion knockoff but I’m here for it cuz merging!
Edit: nooooo you updated and got rid of the daily free piggy bank though it wasn’t exactly free you had to watch an ad but you still got rid of it 😭

Good but needs better balance
Overall this is my favorite merge game from an aesthetic standpoint. The art style is absolutely beautiful. However the balance of the game is completely out of whack. I'm level 31 and have been playing this game for a while and have once again reached a point where it feels impossible to progress without some serious rebalancing from the developers. Example, I have two tasks right now that require me to merge a papyrus plant to level 6, which I then have to merge paper pieces to level 10 to get 1 (one!) crumpled piece of paper and I need 4 crumpled pieces of paper to make progress in my open tasks. That will take weeks given the regen rate of these items. If you spend that much time merging to get secondary merge items like paper, dog treats, travel accessories etc. you should get more than one item from that merge chain. Also when the item "resets" it should reset to the next tier down instead of back to level 3 or 4 to aide in progression. I'm writing this in the hopes the developers will see this and make the necessary changes to keep this game enjoyable.

Great game…. But
I have been playing this game for months now. And I really love it. EXCEPT….. I do NOT love the fact that every time I merge something a bubble comes up to watch an ad for a diamond or coins. This would be idle IF it didn’t take a full minute for the bubble to go away…. I wish there was an option to either delete the bubble if we wanted too, or move the bubble of the ad content to the outer part of the screen, and off the spots on our boards….. the board is pretty filled up and small enough now and when we keep getting bubbles it’s VERY frustrating. I’m also a supporter of this app and buy diamonds occasionally to complete tasks that take forever…. So please FIX THE BUBBLES WITH ADS. Like I said it would be cool and ideal if they could be moved out of the board area and hover “in the background” so it isn’t taking up the board space. I mean we can already move those bubbles, so why not let us move them off the board and into the background? Other than that I love the game.

Doesnt make you want to keep playing
The game looks good and the dialogue for most tasks is nice. Very quickly though tasks require high end items that can take days and days or weeks to get.
Where other merge games have ways to acquire upgrades to item dispenser, time advancers, boosters, this game doesn’t have them really (or if it does I dont really see them/ there is no impact). I dont remember the last time I was able to even acquire parts to upgrade a dispensing item. Which leads to another problem in itself. My most advanced item dispensers still only give level 1 items. In other games the more your dispensers are upgraded, the more chance they will dispense a higher level item.
These issues of not ever getting upgrades or boosts, item dispensers only giving level 1 items, and most tasks requiring days / weeks of collecting ( I am not that far into the game) just leads it to a very stale experience. I find i just open the game grind for that one item (tap one type of dispenser) I need which is taking days/weeks and then closing the game when I am out of energy. Other games keep you coming back with many completable tasks throughout the day, good inventory management and constant access to upgrades.
Also dont get me started on the daily bonus wheel. The jackpot shares an equal space on a wheel where each reward is about 1/8 chance….. never got it once in the months I have been playing, just stop with that.

Other games keep you coming back with many completable tasks throughout the day, good inventory management and constant access to upgrades.
Also dont get me started on the daily bonus wheel. The jackpot shares an equal space on a wheel where each reward is about 1/8 chance….. never got it once in the months I have been playing, just stop with that.

Way to slow
This game definitely has potential to be a fun game. When I first started I gave it 5 stars but now that I have been playing it I am reducing it down to two and more than likely following up with deleting it. The reason being it just feels like they are trying to force the player to make in app purchases if they actually want to play the game for any amount of time. For example, when you tap objects that will drop new objects to merge they only drop one or two then they stop and you either have to wait half a day or use diamonds to speed up the process. Or if you need a nail to complete an objective the tool box only drops one nail out of 30-40 tries but guess what they have them for sale! I’m not against paying money to advance in a game but I have to be able to enjoy it a little too. The time restrictions on your objects really take away from the enjoyment. I thin I’m going to walk away from this game before I put any money into it. I just don’t see it getting better.

Compared to similar games with the limited grid of items to merge, this one has the perks of being able to earn coins or jewels more frequently. It also gives you the info on where to find the object you need. So, why am I deleting it? Mainly, because of the ads. Sure, this is how you get your gems, but it’s difficult to close the ad once it has finished without going to the App Store more than once. The area with the “>>” and “x” is so small that you rarely get it the first time, so it appears that you are more interested in downloading the advertised game than you are. After a while, it just gets frustrating to go back and forth multiple times trying to close it, so I decided the frustration wasn’t worth it. So you either wait a full minute to get your free space back or play an ad for about 30s to get the prize, but then you end up in that back and forth game. Just not worth it.

Used to Be Fun, Now a Money Grab
This game actually used to be fun and I preferred it to other merge games, but subsequent changes from the devs have made it a clear money grab.
1) First they removed the piggy banks a few months ago so money and gems are now very hard to earn (you can only now get them from bubbles so you need to watch ads so you make the devs more money).
2) While they made changes to tasks to make them two parters and slightly lowered the final chain in existing requests, the game requires merging things which take literally MONTHS like to create generators like the beehive (produce wax) and the couch (produce bones) that are SINGLE USE and then you have to start back at square one. It is ridiculous. If you need to wait that long to create a generator, then it should be one that is permanent.
3) They recently increased the gem costs of everything in bubbles by at least double which is so obviously a blatant money grab that it's kind of gross. You already have a hard time getting gems and now it costs even more. No thanks.
Lastly, the Halloween event with the random boosters is laughable. It's a once a day option and it will frequently give you only a level 3 from a generator, which is frankly nothing.
I've tried this game and stick it out for several months only to see the devs get greedier and greedier instead of caring about their player's gaming experience. I am deleting this and going back to different games that don't bait-and-switch their players.
