Mind Games is a great collection of games based in part on principles derived from cognitive tasks to help you practice different mental skills. This app includes a handful of free games. Additionally, there are a number of trial games included that can be played 3 times. All games include your score history and a graph of your progress. Using some principles of standardized testing, your scores are also converted to a standardized scale so that you can see where you need work and excel.

Best Brain Exercises
There are so many exercises that help with brain functions. I feel more focused since playing these games, I am quicker at solving problems in my life, and my memory js gotten better. I am also competitive so when it says what percentage I rank compared to others who play, I’m always trying to improve which makes me better and my mind sharper. Not as many ads as other games, and the problem areas I have are revealed which helps me work on them. I love it.

My speech language pathologist showed this to me for exercises I needed after a massive seizure. I obviously have some brain damage. I can see the areas that I really need to work on and I can do this all by myself. Let me interject here and say that I am a retired speech language pathologist.
I had another brain game that I paid almost $60 for last year and this is 100% better than the other popular game. I would recommend this to everybody.

I wanted to play this to test out the free version before purchasing the pro version and it is completely unusable due to the amount of ads - I opened up the game and within 30 seconds (before even being able to select anything) I was presented with 3 different ads that I had to wait for to close and go back to the game. I understand the need for advertisements in order to recuperate the money from developing the games, but this was so ad heavy I was never even able to open the game. I am deleting it and will not be downloading anything else from this developer. I would have been willing to pay for the game if I was able to test it out and enjoyed it but this is a no go.

If you’re willing to look past the stifling amount of ads, the games themselves are decent, though each one has its own problems with scoring. For example, a few of the memory games will give you a much higher score for intentional inaccuracy. Additionally, most of the tests are speeded, meaning they dilute the purportedly measured ability with reasoning speed, processing speed, and working memory. Overall, the scores are unlikely to reflect your real abilities, and you’ll be watching ads for about a quarter of the time you have the app open. Ultimately, it’s just a time-killer; if you view it like that, then you could have a decent experience.

Great workout for aging brains
Since I quit working outside the home I have noticed I’m not as quick thinking as I was prior. Dementia runs in my family (I’m also a recovering alcoholic and in my mid 50s) so it’s important that I keep my mind in the best shape possible. I have only had this app for 1 day and I’m already improving in the games. I had also forgotten how terrible I am at math so I might actually learn something too! Highly recommend!

Great Exercises for the Mind
I like how there are a diversity of modules, each designed with a specific timed task meant to challenge and evaluate my memory and then share the results with me.
I can go back as many times as I want and repeat the module to improve the memory skill associated with this task, to get my brain more active and responsive in that skill.

This has been so helpful in improving my memory. I’m a very forgetful person and needed something that would really train my muscle memory. So far, after a few days of used, I’ve started to see those improvements I wanted. I’ve been quicker at recalling as well. Such a great app!!

This game is a lot of fun, and helps you build skills. I play the ones I’m not so good at when I want a challenge, and the ones I’m good at when I just want something to do with my hands 😄
All of the games are easy to understand. The ones that I didn’t really get the instructions to were easy to catch on to. I’ve never had a problem with this game, usually I turn off my WiFi when I play to get rid of the adds.

It's ok but it has some flaws. Abstract vs concrete: habit. If thinking of a nun's habit, it can be considered concrete, but it's listed as abstract. Harp. Could be considered an emotional action, making it abstract or the musical instrument, which would be concrete. The game results feedback isn't clear like Lumosity. Lumosity clearly tells you to answer quickly. These games do not. You can complete the entire game, get a perfect score and somehow that's bad. The ads are also extremely annoying. Overall, it needs improvement.

I am enjoying this app very much. I’ve tried others and this one has the most categories I’ve ever seen. I just found it 2 days ago, but I’m definitely keeping it! I may even buy the pro version. We will see how much it costs. Thank you for developing a great app.
