So...it's updated but as many fans have mentioned the timer and background noise options are now not available 😞 please add these options back! I might have to switch apps although this one has been my favorite for years.

Update bug, removed features, UI lame
The "update": (1) broke audio playback using my AirPods with an iPhone 7 Plus, (2) REMOVED features (all background sounds and levels, sleep timers, and (3) added a favorite label, but doesn't sort the list of sounds with favorites up top (still have to scroll through a long list of ridiculous graphics to find favorites).
To workaround (1), I have to switch the audio output to the phone, start playback, pause playback, then switch audio back to the AirPods. Otherwise app UI Crashes with no sound being played (but app is still running?? Until I switch back??).
For (2), there is no workaround and it is somewhat unforgivable to remove features for a paid app. It looks like the mindwave app now has the features of mindwave 2 app???? So, am I supposed to be baited to buy the other app to get the original features???

I found the original version of MindWave extremely useful and I was really sad when it stopped being updated and my phone no longer could run it. I was excited to find a new version, but I think the latest iOS (11.2.2) update broke it because the app instantly crashes when I open it. I have tried restarting the phone but that didn’t help.
Please keep this app going, it’s so wonderful and I have come to rely on it. Monetize it if you have to, charge for updates to unlock new tones, release a new version that costs $20, I don’t care, I need it to work! Nothing else helps my headaches like this app.

I've used this app almost daily for at least 6 years because I was noticeably more productive using the study helper beats in addition to the trance/ambient music that keeps me focused. I continued to use it despite the old version being "incompatible" with my iPhone 6/latest iOS.
Was so excited for the update, but came to find I don't have the option to use timers, and any music playing is stopped when I open the app. That was a main reason I stuck with Mind Wave 2 over other beat/tone apps, because there was no interference. The redesign is beautiful but I hope you'll be able to restore some of the old functionality, otherwise I may need to look elsewhere :(

Happy to see I will be able to upgrade to iOS 11
This app has been a staple of my iOS experience for many years, and I'm happy to see that I'll be able to continue to use it once iOS 11 and the 64bit requirement comes out!
Many Binaural/Isochronic apps don't work while music is playing, but this app still works that way, and I really enjoy using it throughout my day.

Background play works!!
For anyone that was having issues with music turning off when app starts...if you continue playing tone and restart music you are able to listen to both!! Glad to have it back! Use to use mindwave 2 all the time with either relaxing music and Schumann Resonance or pre-exercise tone good music mix. So happy I retried tonight.

Bring back menu from your old app
Dear developer, please consider bring back the sounds from your old app. I can no loner use it as it doesn’t work with the newest operating system. I really miss the Controlled Breathing selection. I am not sleeping as well without it. There are other good selections too. Thank you.

New and worse for it
I’ve had this app for years in the old version and bought again this version as the original was no longer compatible with newer iOS. This new version is a major downgrade, still lacking the timer function and way worse user interface. Now I also find it doesn’t work with airbuds!

Most used app.
But it needs an update quickly. Opening the app cut off music and app unexpectedly shutdowns sometimes when open. I love this I’ve had it since forever please update.

Love This App
I use Mindwave very regularly. The Sub-Delta frequency is my favorite. Very soothing and takes me out of any negativity and deeper into my core. Brainstorming & Creativity is also a great composition. Thank you for making it!
