Morse Code
Morse code is a communication system that uses a series of short signals (also known as dots or dits) and long signals (also known as dashes or dahs) to transmit characters. The initial version of it was developed by Samuel F. B. Morse as a method to transmit natural language through the telegraph in the mid-19th century.

Morse Chat
Morse Chat is an app that allows users to communicate with others using Morse code. Once you sign in, you’ll see 3 big buttons which correspond to 3 main ways of chatting.
- Public Rooms. A number of rooms (10 WPM or less, 15 WPM, 20 WPM or more, Test room and so on) has been created to allow chatting with fellow Morse code enthusiasts. These rooms are open to everyone. Contact us if you have an idea for a new public room.
- Private Rooms. These can be created by premium users, and joined by any user (premium or not) who gets the room ID and password (case sensitive) or is invited by an existing room member.
- Direct Messages (DMs). These are private messages between two participants. Simply create a DM by searching the other user’s display name or call sign.

InTruthIBelieve,
Please add iambic support!
I really like the idea!! However I want to start with iambic. I understand it’s a challenge to interface the key, especially with iOS.. One solution that I can think of is to use HID. Hams are pretty good at diy. It’s trivial to convert an iambic or straight key to a USB or Bluetooth HID device using Arduino and the cost is very low. Then the app only needs to map 2 characters to dot and dash. If reading keyboard input is challenging (ie no way to get pressed/released events), we can use MIDI instead. The Arduino adapter can easily emulate a MIDI device. Please do consider this idea! Also feel free to contact me if you need more info about the Arduino. I can create a Github project to share how to connect a Morse key to phone/computer as well. 73 de kn6pzo

Even though I’ve had it for a few hours, I’m glad I get some practice with this, and we get into some pretty good topics
BattleZays,
Really fun and well made
This is cool, i like it :)
WcktKlwn,
App does not play sound
When I try to play a message all it says is to “Please enable sound” with no option to do so. Other apps play sound with no issues.

Larro361,
You too can learn Morse code!
Any skill takes practice.
HOW you practice makes the difference.
If you are willing to invest the time to learn a new language, you should find a great teacher.
Morse Mania showed me the way by utilizing many different controls to perfect my style, or “Fist”.
The app allows me to define what I need to succeed and grow and Excel!
I started with the free version and wore it out. I was hesitant because cw seemed hard to learn. After I completed the free introduction it was obvious the subsequent pay versions were absolutely essential to succeed as I was advancing so quickly. ( I considered them CHEAP!)
I will suggest:
1. Try the free version first. You will know then if you need the balance of tools.
2. I started on a standard “straight” key. I heard/ was advised that one should use an iambic key to get over 20WPM. I am almost at that point, and considering what the cost and time investment will be to start over with the iambic key. I will ask my club for advice. DO learn CW and Prosper!
A random use3r,
A “Glitch“
I used to be obsessed with trying to learn morse code. It started by looking at pictures, remembering each letter, doing each letter with a flashlight, then putting the letters together to make words and eventually sentences. This got so confusing so quick though, so as the desperate person I was, I downloaded their other morse app, but that‘s not the topic.

Anyway, I downloaded this app to find other Morse Code fans and to send and decode morse messages. It was pretty fun to say the least. I also played around in the practice area. But then my game randomly stopped and put me in the type and convert it into morse area in the middle of a word and played this very long note. This was very irritating to my ears so closed the tab. It stopped for not even a second and continued on their other app they made, so I had to close that tab too.

Otherwise from that, this game was very enjoyable. fun, and helped me learn a bit more morse. I recommend this app to anyone who love morse or want to learn more morse.
DustinNDiego,
Good app
Morse code is hard :(
