Description

Discover the next evolution of game management with the Moultrie Mobile Cellular Trail Camera System.

Receive your trail camera images on your smartphone, computer or tablet with the Moultrie Mobile app. Monitoring remote property has never been easier or more affordable. View your game camera images whenever, wherever and however you prefer using the Moultrie Mobile app. The Moultrie Mobile app works in combination with Moultrie Mobile Cellular Cameras and Field Modems. The application enables users to receive Moultrie game camera pictures directly to their mobile devices without having to drive or step foot on their property. Plus, you can remotely change all of your game cameras settings from the comfort of your own home while using the app.

The Moultrie Mobile app is a powerful hunting tool that harnesses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to quickly scan photos for deer, buck, doe, turkey, person and vehicle. With the touch of a button, users can quickly choose to look at buck images only or turkey pics only. Inside that app you can setup custom notifications to alert you when a person, vehicle, buck or more is caught on one of your mobile cameras. App users also have access to and full use of Moultrie’s Interactive Maps. With interactive maps you can completely map out your hunting property by dropping pins of Mobile cameras, treestands, shooting houses, food plots, bedding areas and even for blood trailing in real time. Use the maps feature to pinpoint how bucks are moving through your property so that you can come up with the best game plan possible. The Moultrie Mobile app is also loaded with user-friendly filters to help you quickly decipher deer movement based off of time, temp, date, moon phase, barometric pressure, day/night images and more! Plus, when using Moultrie Mobile you receive 24/7 cloud-based storage of all your images and they will never be deleted. Even if you cancel your plan, the images are yours to view anytime. You can even download high-resolution images of those big-buck pics you’ll receive on the app.

The Moultrie Mobile system is simple: Use the app or go to www.moultriemobile.com, create an account and register your Moultrie Mobile Cellular Trail Camera or Field Modem. The Moultrie Mobile app features a built-in scanner to quickly and easily register your Moultrie Mobile device. Simply scan the label on the inside of the camera door and the app will autofill the important information so you don’t have to type it out. From the same dashboard, choose an appropriate plan with nationwide coast to coast coverage — no contract required, and it doesn’t matter who your cell phone carrier is! Next, add the approved batteries and SD card to your camera and follow set-up instructions. Once the camera is taking and sending test images, log into the Moultrie Mobile app and view them. Now, you’re ready to deploy your Moultrie Mobile cameras in the field. It’s that Easy!

otherguy,
It’s… functional
So this App requires the cameras, and it’s fine. All the core stuff is here and the latest update with “Device Health” is a MASSIVE improvement over being prompted every day.

A couple of more things it needs:
1) PLEASE come up with a way to tag and filter time-lapse photos vs triggered photos. I really do want a photo every 3 hours for comparison, but I also want to be able to just click a button to filter out all the non-triggered photos
2) it wouldn’t be too hard to detect having the detection turned up today. Some sort of shadow situation caused 40+ extra photos today. If the photos are triggered and they look basically the same, why not flag them as potentially not useful
3) the AI animal detection is laughably bad. Cow elk are tagged as deer. Deer heads are tagged as turkeys. Cows are tagged as bobcats, deer, and bucks. Combined with the fact that you can’t alert on a generic “motion detected”, it makes the cameras somewhat less useful.
4) it really needs a UI overhaul. It’d be nice if it supported landscape mode on an iPad and most of the UI elements look like junior web dev did it or it’s using a cross-platform framework that doesn’t know how iOS is supposed to work.

Again, it’s baseline functional and it works. The new device health check absolutely shows promise compared to what was there before. Take some of that same design thinking and make filtering more intuitive and the Ui more natural, and it could easily be a 5 star app.
KLG😻,
Saying the best is an understatement
I am currently running 2 cell cams the MoultrieMobile Edge and also 1 Tactacam Reveal X Pro and both cams are Great but, the MoultrieMobile Edge Cell Camera is by far the best in terms of image quality. Also the ease of getting cellular service on the Edge is effortless. I will be buying MoultrieMobile from here on out. Tactacam is great cameras too but the picture quality is lacking bad, and their just not worth the price your honestly just buying a name with Tactacam. Best advice I can give anyone looking to buy a new cellular trail camera is to go for it buy the MoultrieMobile Edge it is truly the best camera I’ve ever had and the only cameras I’ll ever buy again. I am sold on MoultrieMobile and their cheaper than most. Also their built to last as well the folding antenna makes this camera worth buying in itself.

Don’t think that MoultrieMobile cameras are cheap quality because I’m here to tell you their built as good or even better than any other brand camera on the market to date.

Thanks MoultrieMobile for the affordable cameras and other great products you produce keep up the good work. With the prices of everything today it is hard for an honest hard working outdoorsman to be able to enjoy the sport of hunting and the outdoors, but with the prices of your products it makes it a little easier to still enjoy the privileges of hunting and being outdoors…
zx243,
Wasted investment
I purchased these cameras before the season last year and they never worked properly. They said they would replace them and the did with the same kind and in mid December you know, at the end of the season so they were of no use. Started earlier this year had the same problems they replaced 2 of 3 with a different model got 1 in time to use the other came right in the middle of the rut so never got a chance to use it. Just put it in the box with the other one that doesn’t work that the lady I spoke to said she was going to send a replacement for. These people just are waiting for the warranty to run on on these defective cameras so they don’t have to loose any more money. I stated to one of the reps. That y’all are just replacing a bad product with the same bad product till the warranty runs out. At least she didn’t lie to me, I could tell she was embarrassed but she didn’t deny it. I also contacted the Consumer Protection Agency at the federal government they were no help. They said I need to contact the Consumer Protection Administration in Alabama to file so guess I will need to contact them tomorrow. I waisted a lot of time and money on these pieces of crap.

Terrible app
The cameras themselves are ok, but the app is the worst, most un-userfriendly app that I’ve had for trail cam monitoring. I’m pretty tech savvy and the way the all is setup it’s almost like a 75 year old guy made it. There are options that would be very convenient that aren’t even offered.
You have to look at your pictures from all your cameras in one library. They are not separated by date, you have to open the picture and see what date it was taken. I’ve had many times where a “new” picture pops up from the past that wasn’t originally shown that day, but other pics from that day sent already. Pictures also disappear from the library so you better screenshot them.
The most maddening thing was when my camera went over the pic number for the plan I was paying for and didn’t reset after the 30 days. It tells you how much longer you have on your 30 days, and mine said 0 for 2 weeks. The customer service rep I dealt with had no knowledge of their product or their service plans. It took about 6 emails for her to realize they were in the wrong.
I have cancelled my yearlong subscription for the 2 cameras and have to wait until Oct to stop paying for their “service”
It’s not the camera and app setup you are looking for. There are several others in the market that are 10 times better. I’d steer WAY clear of Moultrie.
Thsksvsusnshahjshs,
The truth can hurt
I’m currently running two tac cams along side two moultrie both on Verizon service. I always receive pictures from tac cam and one moultrie cam. But not the other. I do have them sitting side by side in the field. I went as far as putting both moultrie cameras side by side in the field with the same firmware update, same signal strength, same SD card size, both on external batteries yet would only receive pictures from one. this is after we had cancelled service on 6 other moultrie cameras for the same reason. All had signal, battery strength, suggested SD card size as per Moultrie suggests yet would randomly if ever receive pictures from the app. Customer Service is less then desired with comments such as “we can view the pictures” “signal strength is insufficient” when you have two of the exact same camera set up in same tree and only receive pictures from one. Does no me no good if you can see pictures and I can’t. Great idea from a good company with extremely poor execution. Please do not waste money on these as my family did! Buy one and try but please do your research. Total number of moultrie cameras purchased for my hunting property was approximately 15. To date 13 have been cancelled and switches to other brands. Just waiting for subscription on last two to expire.
Lofgrep,
Great features, excellent functionality
I use this app to manage two Delta cams on a property 200 miles from where I live. I plan to add more but wanted to see how it worked with two cams to start.

Activation/setup of the cameras could not have been easier. Everything can be done from within the app, and there’s clear instructions in both the app and inside the camera door if you ever need to reference them. Even the cell plan purchase is done inside the app. I *really* liked not having to go out to a website to do all of this.

The app’s interface is easy to navigate and it has several really cool features. You can customize just about every setting imaginable so the experience is exactly what you want - no more, no less. When I first set the cams up I wanted to see every update, in real time, as notifications pushed to my phone. I’ve since dialed that back to 2X a day updates to conserve batteries — but I love that if I wanted to change the setting back, all I need to do is change the setting in the app and it’ll update the cam(s) accordingly.

Even the “Smart Tag” feature seems to work well - though the app doesn’t know what to do with a moose. I’ll be interested to see if it’s eventually smart enough to ID black bears, grouse, rabbits and all the other critters that sometimes trip the sensor.

All in all, this app far exceeded my expectations and it has made cell cam implementation on my property an easy and exciting project!
Drbanjo30,
Cell cam
I got the base cell cam back in February , some folks said bud get a spartin or reconix, I said every cam I’ve ever bought was a Moultrie ! I was skeptical about how the battery life with as many batteries would be , I don’t member how many hit holds but it’s a bunch , long story short , it’s only used 1 light on battery power and since March I’ve got prob close to 1000 pics , and it’s dead on when a deer comes out , I can be sitting in the recliner and the alert goes off , I can get up and look out the kitchen window and it’s there and then I can watch the rest come out and feed , i don’t see how the high dollar camera ‘s can beat that , cause it’s instant! I wouldn’t have any other cell cam unless I was giving one , but I’m more than happy with this base cam , I’ve been buying Moultrie’s since the film days ! Take the film to Walmart and wait on them to be developed , I felt like a kid in a candy store being exited to see the pics from the film
v3gamer,
Check data plans/costs before buying
Moultrie has always produced quality products in my opinion. However with the new 7000i series, images viewed through the native app are extremely poor quality and the data plans are the largest “catch” from what I have seen to date. I purchased 5 of these cameras and like any outdoorsman wanting to learn what is on their property along with patterns, would like to have more than a few images per camera per day. Running these cameras have cost me more than $80/month and I still reach “plan capacity” and images quit coming to the app. They do still store on the local SD card but the point of having a camera that will send images to your phone is to send images to your phone. After turkey season this year these camera will either be sold or used like the cheap camera models Moultrie produces and I’ll go back to using my Spartan cameras (which send high quality videos and images to my phone with no volume cap nor reduced quality). Hope they are able to correct this data issue but if I knew more about what I was buying before I bought them I would have simply purchased more Spartan cameras.
Reddawg2132,
Great buy!!!!!
I have owned game and trail cams since the original deer cam came out with the rolls of film in them! Saying that I have been through a lot of different brands and styles of cameras! This Moultrie Mobile camera takes the cake! The days of loading up and going to the woods to pull cards once a week are over. This camera gets a 5 star rating in every single area that I can give it one! Quality of pictures are near perfect, trigger speed is unmatched, and the app is simple enough for a young child to figure out!!!!! I love how you can go into your settings from the app and change them at any time, all from home without having to disturb your hunting areas!
I have owned several different brands of the mobile type cameras and the quality of pictures are terrible. The cameras data plan is a little more expensive than some of the others... but absolutely worth every penny! I own 3 Moultrie Mobile cameras now and plan to buy more!
Mark12897645444,
Great App
I have been using this app for two years.
It does a great job on various generations of moultrie cameras. The old 900 works great with the modem. It might be my favorite as I can mount the modem higher and get reliable signal. Also have the V600’s. Great control and manages to get pictures delivered with nearly no signal. My delta (1) is the newest. The app control of the camera is great. Wish the camera lived up to its Billings. I get better picture, especially at night on the older cameras. Two features I’d like to see added.
1) ability to turn off taking pictures from the app. We had some windy days that shook the trees enough I have 100’s of tree sway shots on one or two really windy days(45-60mph)
2) I’d like to be able to tell the camera to restart.
Had one get messed up and had to drive 120 miles to turn the camera off and on to get it taking pictures again.
