Description

My Body Metrics is a different kind of weight loss and body measurement app. You can take photos of yourself as you progress along your journey to get in shape to see how your body has changed and stay inspired to achieve your goal. Of course it also keeps track of your weight and other body measurements that you choose, such as waist, hips, and biceps.

My Body Metrics has a unique approach to taking photos. You can use the traditional approaches of taking the photos yourself using a mirror or have someone else take them for you, or you can use the Remote Cam feature. This lets you connect to another iPhone, iPad, or Mac over WiFi and use its camera to take full-body photos without the need for a mirror or another person.

KEY FEATURES:

• Keep track of your weight plus 10 other body measurements, such as waist, hips, and biceps.

• Choose which measurements you want to keep track of.

• Set a goal weight you wish to achieve (optional).

• View your progress, including before and after photos, to see how far you've come.

• See how your body has transformed over time in the animated Movie view.

• Take photos at up to three different angles: front, side, and back.

• Passcode protection with Face ID and Touch ID support to keep your information private.

• Sync between multiple devices with iCloud.

• Share photos of your progress, if you wish.

• Easy, single-handed entry.

• Left and right-handed support.

• Share weight, BMI, body fat percentage, and waist circumference with Health app, if you wish.

• Runs natively on both your iPhone and iPad.

PRIVACY: Your photos, weight, and other body measurements are stored locally on your phone or tablet and, if sync is enabled, on your iCloud account. The developer, Binary Formations, does NOT have access to any of this information in any way.

NOTE: Taking Remote Cam photos from a Mac requires the My Body Metrics Remote Cam app, available for free on the Mac App Store.

We have a new name, My Body Metrics, plus these great new features:

• A movie view that animates the body photos you've taken so you can see how it has changed over time.
• The new goal view shows you how much progress you've made, your rate of progress, and the estimated number of days until you reach your goal.
• Choose from 15 different color schemes (requires the Remove Advertising in-app purchase).
• A more intuitive way to change the start date when pursuing a weight goal.
• Haptic feedback when setting metric values (iPhone 7 and later).
• You can now take photos at all three angles on an iPad during a single Remote Cam session, just like you could already on an iPhone.
• Weights in stone are now entered in stone/pound units instead of decimal values of stone.
• Fixed a bug that stops audio playback when the metrics entry view appears.
• Fixed a bug where non-imperial metrics (stone, kg, cm, etc.) are not correctly stored.

Minor bug fix when entering a passcode.

• You can now share (via email, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) your weight and photo by tapping on the weight entry button for a date that has a weight entry.

• You can share the Progress and Graph views (via email, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) by tapping the share icon in the navigation bar.

• Added a new setting called "Use Selected Date". When set to Yes, the "after" entry shown in the Progress view is the entry for the date currently selected in the main view instead of the most recent entry.

• Your total weight loss/gain to date is now shown when entering your weight, if you have at least one previous weight entry.

• Removed the heavy shadow from the body template images.

• Changed the icon a little (turned that frown upside down).
1.0.1
2013-09-23
• Fixed a bug preventing you from entering 0 inches when setting your height using US measurements (such as 6'0").

• Added a message to the help popups to make it clear how to dismiss them.

SuzCTWV,
Superior app
I do like having this app. The app hits all the right feels as I make way on my weight loss and body strengthening journey.

I do wish the app came with an option to delete a photo that, after the fact, I don’t like so much (the angles and poor selfie skill on my part).
Kawelch9,
Great App - Exporting Videos?
I have used this app for over 2 years. It is very easy to use. I’ve tried 3 or 4 others and none compare. The only thing that needs to happen is the ability to export your transformation movie. I’d even accept an ad just so I can do this. I had to download a screen record app just to be able to save my transition movie to my phone. If there was an option to export your movie, I’d rate 5 stars.
rachmary,
Love it
This is a great ap for monitoring your measurements, progress photos, and weight. The further you get along in your weight loss journey it’s so encouraging seeing your progress. Even if your weight doesn’t move your able to see your measurements move and your given an up to date how many inches you have lost in total. I wish there was an option to get this information off the ap so we can use the information else where.
Nak86,
Good app
This is a pretty good app at tracking progress visually that includes a window that shows all your measurements. It would be 5 stars if we would be able to move the window that has our measurements to different corners or one side of the picture/screen. Also, it would be great to be able to select which date we would like to compare side by side images not just from the first record to the most recent. Thank you for producing this app!
Create Name yo,
Best On the Market!
I love that this app gives you an area to do your measurements and take before and after photos. It will show you how close you are to your goal! 5 out of 5 for sure!
Xannababy,
Soo many unnecessary flaws
It doesn’t let you see each progress without watching it in a movie and then you have to pause it to see. And it won’t let you delete an old progress photo either or save any of the pictures you take 🙄 the only reason why I still use it is because I didn’t noticed the flaws until I was two months in. Save yourself the time and skip this one

Could use some improvements
I like that I can track my measurements and view my progress pictures in the same app. But I wish I could save my photos without my measurements and weight data on the picture. I would also like to be able to compare photos from different dates than just my start date.
AOL381894@4,
It gets the job done.
It’s alright.
I love that it had the three views for pictures, that it tracks weight and measurements for every day and such.
What I don’t like is that it only shows your first pictures and your most recent for comparison.
I REALLY want an app that shows my whole progression or at least gives me the option.
Jennbin1213,
Has potential but needs improvement
This is one of the few apps that tracks weight and inches. However, it does not pull history from the Apple health app, and there is not a way to enter previous measurements
jiejie197777,
Only first and latest measurements
I was disappointed that I couldn’t track my measurement progress from month to month. It only displays the measurements for the first entry and the latest entry. I relied on this app to keep track of that data and now it’s just gone. No help in FAQs and an email to the address on their website is undeliverable. Very disappointing!
