My Dog is a simulation game where you can feed, train, play, and dress up your favorite puppies. After choosing among more than 70 unique dogs, you can design your home from a variety of furniture, decoration, and layouts. Instead of describing the main features, we want to share with you the story behind the development of this game. This story came from the creator of My Dog:
“Although I have participated in the development of several games, I have not been as excited with a new game as with My Dog because this game brings back a lot of good memories.
When I was little, my parents adopted a puppy that lived with us for longer than fifteen years. I still remember our first interaction; he could fit in my palm. As a child, I became his owner and did my best to take care of him. From an early age, I gained this sense of responsibility because of him but also developed a strong feeling of sympathy towards the dog community. I decided not to have another puppy after him because I knew it would be difficult to experience this absence again in the future.
At university, I kept thinking of ways to bring my puppy back to me by using technology. However, it was not until recently that I formed a dedicated team of engineers and artists to develop My Dog. I hope that players can raise their favorite puppy while bringing him everywhere with them, creating good memories.

Great Game
Hands down a great game. I love all the things you can do, but I do have a few things to suggest. Maybe you could make it so that adopting the dogs does not cost as much, since I do not have lots of real money to buy gems to adopt the dogs. Secondly, it would be nice if could you have some more items to buy with coins on the dressing room, since, like I said before, gems are harder to get and you have to pay real money for a lot. If you get this game, I suggest saving your gems for clothing and dogs, and making a good first dog pick.

Tiring and Money-Grabbing
(I’ve played this game for a few days now and hope to see change with the problems I’ve experienced.)
My Dog is a very cute, fun game to play, especially for those who like some combat and competition to spice things up. You can play with digital puppies, care for them, dress them up, and so on. The game seems like it’s almost too good to be true! And that’s because it simply is.
Maybe it doesn’t seem like the game is a quick cash-grab from the start, but as you get further into it, progressing gets harder and harder. That’s exactly why you’re going to want to buy all of the VIP and Premium sorts of passes in-game. Not only is it stressful to have to spend money on a game, but it also defeats the purpose of entertainment for those who believe this isn’t a pay to win game. It makes the experience exhausting overall.
A few other things this game should improve are the level differences during battles. Every time I go to search for someone, it now takes about FIVE minutes just to find a single person that you might be able to defeat. Maybe make it so that you could only be challenged by levels close to yours.
After all, not all dreams come true, and this review is just another chunk of suggestions. Thank you for reading through, and although I’d add more, it seems rather painful and not worth it. Hopefully you understand my struggles; and have a nice day.

Ages 4+ ? How?
Is there even a child feature where you can’t message or receive messages from anyone in the world? I see a teenage mode and don’t know what it does. I love playing this game but features of this app are incredibly disturbing. Young teens love how dangerous this app is or maybe adults posing as young teens. I CANT TELL. I would never think that a GAME. Would have such dangerous features such as basically Twitter being built into it. PARENTS NEED TO MONITOR CHILDREN PLAYING THIS GAME. & honestly big shame on the designers of this app. Wth we’re you thinking? Was creating an unsafe place for children the goal? I’ve never used a game that had this much of a risk for harm to children. Please other users demand this app become safer for children. Why are you allowed to message with anyone in the world, privately! Maybe remove private messages all together to make the app a safer. Kids do not need to be exposed to the endless possibilities of harm communicating with strangers online, in a game of all places. Very insidious. I can’t help but think this problem is on purpose since many users have complained about it and you are even forced to see the Twitter like page every time someone makes a comment WHILE YOU ARE PLAYING. Did pedos pay people to make this app? Please make changes! I’m 26 and don’t feel comfortable using this app anymore the way the developers are running it. 🤮

You guys so… this game is so fun it is so great and yes it says 4+ but don’t get this!!! This is more 13+ I was looking through the comments and oh can text random people by the way and they could know evreything about you well, I was looking through the comments and someone was swearing!!! These app creators should have thought to put restrictions on the comments and this would have been way more 4+. Parents if your reading this, you should not let any child play this game unless you are ok with the risk of inappropriate things, also including your child’s information as in what they look like, we’re they live, where they are, and there age, being out in the world for anyone, this is not appropriate for many ages, fun yes dangers for the future yes scarring thingS yes, should 4 years old have thing NO!!!!! Not to be rude I really know that this game was well thought out and the creators were thinking really good😊 I know that they tried and it is so fun I just really wanted to warn them they might want to repost their age limit, but this game was really fun for me!! I just want you guys to know that this is not as safe for younger kids, but great job with the game creators!!😊

Ok game
I don’t really play this game at all but I want to try to get back into doing so but when I try to make a new account I’m forced to choose the Labrador and I cannot change its name or choose its gender and it’s very odd because I KNOW that you can have a few starter options and the ability to do basic things with said starter dog but now it’s all removed??? Literally my old account has a spaniel as its starter but I cannot even choose a single thing about my dog in my new account on my new iPad- so weird
Anyways I think this game is pretty cute and polished- reminds me of nintendogs + cats graphics and it’s very nostalgic- not to mention some of the dogs barks and motions/actions are genuinely from nintendogs I swear 😭 oh well
But if you could bring/fix the starter dog selection I would greatly appreciate it cause I don’t know if it’s a bug or is totally intentional, if it’s intentional- I think it’s a really dumb idea to make everyone choose the same dog and can’t change its name or gender without spending in game currency 😕

I had no idea what happened to my acc
When I wanted to play my dog my account disappeared to a new one. I was so confused where did my account go, I thought I got hacked! I don’t know if it is a glitch or not, if it maybe is a glitch you will have to fix it! If not that is gonna be a problem! If it’s not a glitch everyone might be confused if there account was hacked or not. But I have good news, when I logged in my account was still there! My account is happily safe and sound! I am so happy that my account isn’t hacked! But… it’s VERY strange that my account changed! It might disappear or change but it changed my normal ol’ girl profile my profile didn’t change because I did not change them but they changed my profile into and scary happy-frog profile! Stress out
Ever since the new update money is kinda hard to get now and people keep beating you over and over again when I try to fight back I feel like I’m the weakest on the game and it stresses me out they take my money and everything I’m currently trying to delete my account if you want to be stressed out then here you go download it and there a lot of drama on it some perverted rude disgusting people who are so young the only thing good about the game is the furniture and the dogs it self they are so cute but that’s all everything else is not worth my anxiety I’m disappointed in this game when I first downloaded the game I was just bored wanted to have fun I thought this game was to just take care of a pet but nope it was a fighting game with pets included therefore I still gave it a chance and this is what u did to me 😕 and deleting the account it not easy like how the Duck am I suppose to delete it

Too money hungry and not enough direction
The game is really fun for 5 minutes before the game either makes you wait to be able to do anything or spend actual money a ton of times. Everything is expensive. It doesn’t explain why my dog can’t get pregnant even though it’s healthy and “married.” It just keeps saying “dog is not pregnant” then proceeds to ask for more gems which is rare to get unless you spend 20$ for just 120 gems. Which you WILL blow through to progress in the game. Such a shame it’s so greedy. Also wish you could just breed your own dogs to each other. A lot of people don’t want to keep messaging everyone to breed. And of course it has an energy meter which makes every mobile game unbearable. I miss the times when developers actually cared instead of being so money hungry. Hope they change things soon.

Cute but things I want changed
but when i get one at the beginning i can’t adopt one. You should be able to take out as many dogs as you want not only 3 but it is super cute and i’m not allowed to talk to other strangers but i want married dogs so why can your dogs no marry each other?

4 stars because of the annoying chat bar that you can’t turn off
This would totally be a 5 star game but I gave it only 4 because of the annoying chat bar that has random people posting random messages to me when I am trying to play with my dogs. Not to mention that I am a antisocial gamer and only play single player games or multiplayer games with optional chat/social features. For the next update please fix the chat bar and have an option to turn it off! This game has beautiful graphics by the way and it is a shame that the chat bar ruins it.
