Katey Too,
Duke health my chart
This year after kidney cancer was discovered, I was suddenly seeing new doctors, new locations, new information. Whether Duke, UNC, Cone, or independent medical service the chart helped me keep up with appointments, ask questions, and let doctors from other health centers see what test had been done and results of those test. It certainly made my treatment more understandable and helped as I travel through health changes.
often I was asked what did I want to do about new information. The information available has helped me make decisions.
APPOINTMENT AT DUKE,
Appointment
I had an appointment today with Denise pong. I went to urgent care a couple weeks ago and I have a kidney infection. In route to the appointment today we went into a bad accident. We called lay them know that we was about 11:50 minutes behind we got there, and instead of them going on and taking us in the delay more time going back-and-forth. We called. We spoke to a young lady explained our situation. I even had a recorded call the doctor refuse to see me. This is totally unacceptable. I’m suffering from a kidney infection urgent care so I may need to be in the hospital but the primary had to see me and I was treated like trash Duke supposed to be at number one rated hospital Denise pong you don’t have to worry about jobs in care with me. Dr. Carlos was not concerned about my health. You guys are not the reflection of a healthcare facility. If I was not black and some of my health problems is due to neglect of providers at Duke.

Easy, Quick Results & Communication
This is the BEST My Chart experience that we have had in our medical journey.

A big plus is that we can see/read the communication that has happened between medical doctors, nurses, PAs, etc. It is also nice to have everything in one place (appointments, results, etc.)!

We are grateful for the care that we receive at the Duke Cancer Center and we are also grateful for My Chart. Thank you to all who schedule the appointment, post the results, maintain the web functions, and to the medical team at Duke.

Heart transplant
My daughter was transferred to Duke Hospital on April 21st on an echmo machine none of the doctors thought she would walk out of the hospital. Doctor Schroder and his team of transplant Doctors nurses PAs saved my daughters life more then once. The Donor who lost their life but saved my daughters I will forever be grateful. Duke Hospital is an amazing hospital with a great team. The ICU 7west the step down unit 6East have such amazing staff. Thank you all for everything you did are continue to do for my daughter. There will never be enough words to tell you how thankful we are.
One Stop Source,
One Stop Source
I’ve become a huge fan of DukeMyChart, especially over the last year. It keeps me on track for upcoming appointments even when I may have entered a date in error on my calendar. I can review prior appointments, notes from those appointments and test results for all lab appointments, current and past. When I have questions or need advice from a caregiver, it’s easy and convenient via MyChart, and the responses are generally very timely. The app is easy to use and a real personal benefit.
Skl9283,
I love this app!
I love having the ability to see my medical info, appointments, lab and test results and message my doctors right from my phone. It really helps me keep track of appointments because I have so many. I also love being able to message my doctors at Duke and they respond so quickly. Must faster than trying to call in. I recommend 100%.
crazyiknow,
Only somewhat user friendly
This app, as well as the actual online Duke MyChart website, is somewhat user friendly but could definitely be improved. I find it takes too many clicks to find what I am looking for—even though I have started using these platforms rather regularly. So I think someone could figure out ways to simplify and improve the layout and navigation. Also, please enable use of text (instead of email) for receiving login identification codes. Retrieving these codes via email is way too cumbersome and not very up-to-date I might add.
BT560,
Slick front end to terrible service
The app has all the information you need except actually contacting a human. Any request for help submitted gets an automated answer three days later that it has been passed on to your doctor. Then 3-6 days later an assist writes back that you should have called. But when you call you don’t get through to a doctor, just a 20 minute wait to have someone tell you a doctor will have to call you back. So why don’t they call you instead of having you call to request being called?
Manegal,
Great Took
Getting answers to questions and having a centralized place to send and receive messages, test results, etc. is very helpful.
I would like to be able to download all communication to my computer. As it is now, some can’t be transferred or printed. Others cannot be downloaded but can be printed. Then I scan them into my computer and forward to insurance or other non medical people.
sfchlky,
Appointment scheduling
Trying to schedule an appointment thru the app has proven to be difficult at best. For instance, I sent an appointment request into my Gynecologist. I received a response back that the month I requested wasn’t open yet and to try again in a couple of weeks! They didn’t put me on a list or anything. Well, so when I sent in my second request I was informed that the month is now close. And once again I was instructed to try again in a few weeks when the next month would be open. This is horrible service. I would call it customer “no” service.
