We have a really fun update for our millions of little fans using My Story in over 128 countries! Hooray, backgrounds and custom fonts galore!
With the new backgrounds feature it's easier than ever to give your story pages backgrounds that can't be moved when drawing over them. Pick from dozens of pre-selected options (rainbows, castles, cities, farms, alphabet template, grids, frames and more!). Simply tap the pen/pencil tool, drag and scroll the view to the right twice and you'll see all of the fun and colorful backgrounds. Of course, you can add your own images from the photo library and camera as well.
The text tool has also been updated to include over 50 fonts now that you can use to update the text you put on canvas. Choose from whimsical fancy fonts, or serious bold fonts, whatever works best for your story.
Let us know what kinds of backgrounds and fonts you'd like to see in future versions of My Story and we'll do our best to get them in.

We've got some great goodies in this version that we're excited for you to get in front of the kiddos:
* Import/Export My Story stories: You now have the ability to import/export .mystory files between iPads. So you can now create a story template on one device, save it, send it, Airplay it, whatever you like, and open it on any other copy of My Story. Simply "Share Story" as a My Story Book in the share dialogue.
* Copy/Move stories between authors: Based on popular demand, you can finally copy and move stories among authors on the same iPad! Simply tap "edit" at the top of any author's library, select a book, and you'll have new options to copy/move. Select the author you want to move or copy the story to, and that's it. This is also a great way to re-use templates for your class.
* Shapes Tool: Another highly requested feature. Now you can create simple shapes: squares, circles, triangles, and lines of various colors. Simply select your color of choice, then pick the drawing tool, swipe to the left to see backgrounds, swipe again and you'll see the new shapes. To get the drawing tools again, simply go back to the pens button, and swipe back and select your pen or brush of choice.

It’s amazing and it’s really great for kids
It does grown-up checks to make sure that a grown-up is sharing or going to the grown-up section they make it really easy to add your kid it makes it also really easy to learn how to do it it has safe tools and stickers it doesn’t have any bad influences to your kids and it’s ad free they also have a video on how you can use it it’s also great for teachers to even know the My Story app is free there are no ads involved they make it really easy to operate you can monitor their books and what they’re making by just clicking on their profile it’s really simple to add a book you can also add subtitles in the grown-up section they help you write a review and you can add more than one author you can choose to add their profile picture my kids love it

Recent updates are GREAT!
I have used this app for a couple of years with as young as 3 yrs old but mostly with 1st and 2nd graders. This is an intuitive app for kids to express themselves. The developers listened to many suggestions I made from experiences using this app with kids. With this update, they incorporated almost all of my suggestions. This is just a straight forward easy to use app. It is worth the $$. The kids LOVE using it.

Good but could be great
This app is great for my class of Kinders to use. Fairly straightforward, fun options, and the kids love it. I don’t like setting it up however, as I have not found a way to sync the author accounts across all devices. I have to enter all my students manually on all of our iPads. I’d love for there to be a way to export my class list accounts via airdrop, Bluetooth, or something so I don’t have to enter the names on each device. I’d also love for there to be a picture password option for each account so students can’t accidentally edit others books. Thanks!

Love the game. My little sis has loved it to. I am so glad there is allowed more then one created of books. If you have not done that my sis could of have to use my account. Thanks you game is wonderful. I am assuming that you will make lots of updates. Sounds like you just did,but I do not know ‘cause I only got this game a few days. Than you.

I have used this app multiple times. I just upgraded to premium version for the second time. I just spent hours creating a book, only to not be able to open the book. Every time I try to open it, the app crashes. So incredibly frustrating! I have tried many different ways to contact this company, and even their website question page keeps giving me an error page saying my email us not valid, tried to message on Facebook, says address is invalid. I loved this app! I just want it to work!!! Please help!!!!

It’s a good app and all but when you get a picture that’s not that small but when you get a small picture when you try delete it it won’t let you

Doesn't behave modern iPhones
There are buttons behind the camera and there are no guides or bounding boxes to show where content goes. We hit view, and all of the images and text are cut off. It turned into a guessing game we couldn't win.
