How to log in.
You can access the application without a ticket and discover all the points of interest in Pompeii.
By accessing the application with a ticket, you will be able to take advantage of additional content. In this case, you will be able to access:
• By scanning the QR Code or the barcode shown on the ticket
• Manually enter the order number shown on your ticket

The Map feature allows you to discover all the points of interest that make the Archaeological Park of Pompeii one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage sites. For each point of interest, you will find descriptions, visiting hours, images, and much more. Within the map, there is an area dedicated to the services and facilities available within the Park.
In the Exhibitions and Routes feature you will find our suggestions for visits, such as dedicated exhibitions and routes.

Don’t waste your time or battery downloading this app
The app takes you through a million steps just to get to the audio guides. It makes you enter your ticket number when it would be easier to scan the barcode. The audio guides are outdated, and they turn off if you let your phone screen go black, meaning you need to keep your phone on and the battery will drain.
Bottom line: you’re better off reading the plaques in front of the important things. Don’t bother with this app.

Limited utility to those not from EU
Because it doesn't cache the mapnof Pompeii when you download it. And this in spite of the app caching lots of other data. It's nearly 150MB big! That's a fairly useless attribute since if you don't have an Italian sim or eu roaming on your mobile planbl, you won't have good data acces.
Also, it's map, I'd it does load for you, is not good in how it displays points of interest. The method it uses of clustering sites into one point until you zoom enough was dropped by map developers 10 yrs ago because it's not helpful to users. Join the modern age, my Pompeii developers, and simply show most popular sites singularly at lower zoom levels until user zooms further and can see more detail. Also, allow users to pin/highlight sites they want to visit to create a custom itinerary. And you can customize an audio tour for them based on their selected itinerary which gives them approx visitation times too. Think of how you can help the user and collect more data to better manage flow of visitors, deployment of Park personnel to the benefit of the park itself and it's visitors. Come on!!!

Improved a lot, good guide app
Many old 1 star review says the app does not have a map. I had to log in by scanning my ticket, and I got access to map with POIs and audio guides, so I suppose the app was updated since.
There are two issues with the app, which is why I’m giving 4 stars not 5:
- The audio guides are old and low in quality. Make sure to bring a headphone with good noise isolation, or noise canceling, otherwise it is challenging to understand the speech.
- The app uses GPS constantly, and it drains the phone battery a lot. A lot more than usual navigation apps. Be sure to have a powerbank or external battery with you if you plan to walk through the whole city and listen to audio guides.

Not useful at all
I was told to download this app at the entrance rather than get a paper map. The all doesn’t have a map at all, doesn’t point out any facilities except some chosen highlighted sites. It’s not user friendly and generally doesn’t work well. It should be made better or they should just give you a paper map because this app is a joke.

This app is not worth downloading. The wifi at the site doesn’t work and you can’t use the app once in Pompeii.

App is useless
I bought my Pompei Entrance ticket from the official site and used the QR code to get this app. The app doesn’t respond to prompts, the various points of interest are in alphabetical order instead of in order of the map. The whole thing is useless. The app says use the free Wi-Fi from the park, which the park guide told us doesn’t exist. Don’t waste your time, pay for a guide to show you around.

Never could get it to work
Scanned both me and my friends tickets that we had just bought and couldn’t get it to recognize them. Even tried manually typing in the code and no luck. Useless for our trip.

Flawed in many ways; essentially unusable
App declared my valid order number as invalid. Had to scan someone else’s bar code to use app. After a few minutes of inactivity - well, there some walking to do - app logs you out and asks if you want to restart your tour. Really? And if you don’t have connection on that restart - it’s spotty in the park - it just keep spinning. Also, the content keeps trying to load online… why? It’s an app! Please keep at least something offline. Then, the site popup gives you a cut off 3 line description and the asks you to load a little more with another tap, it’s just annoying.
Eventually, the app couldn’t reconnect and just failed. There’s so much the app could do but it doesn’t: it could read the descriptions to you. The content could be more engaging. It could suggest an itinerary that covers the essentials.
Hire a good user experience designer; and if you have one, fire him/her.
