Don'tAskYo,
Just Needs Some Improvement
So far, this is the best subtitle app I’ve come across. It allows me to actually have as many lines in a video as I want it to as well as each of them being able to be timed perfectly. This app has all of the basic needs for subtitling heightened to their best.

However, there are some important improvements I’d like to see. Particularly, being able to

• add a stroke(s) to text
• change the speed of text that transitions vertically/horizontally/diagonally
• completely duplicate specific text lines
• have a wider variety of text effects
• omit parts of text (like how Videoleap can hide some of a text box)

Please, it would be so great to see these improvements being added to this app!
ilostmycrown,
What happened?
I love this app so much! So reliable and makes my videos much more entertaining to watch. However, recently (since October 2019, from what I’ve noticed) it starts to crash every single time you move or add or edit a subtitle. It’s not the worst thing but it gets very annoying when you have a lot of subtitles to add. On top of that, videos don’t save. Today, I watched 9 grammarly ads in a row because they have you watch an ad before you can save a video (that much I don’t mind) but it does not even save to my camera roll anymore. I figured it had to do with the length of the video but it was only 3 minutes and 45 seconds long. These issues haven't happened if my video is about a minute long, but I don’t want to say that that exactly justifies it happening in the first place. In the two times that it did save to my camera roll, it saved without any subtitles and the audio no longer matched with the video. I got too used to this app so I won’t be ditching it anytime soon, I’d just like to know what’s wrong and if it can be fixed. :)
Oji John,
Great for Short Clips
Easy to use. You do not have to be fluent in any particular language. 5 Stars because it's effective and simple to use on short clips.

BUT, it won't work on a feature-length movie. There is a lot of interest out in the luminiferous ether for an app that can edit Japanese subtitles WITH FURIGANA. This provides a solution for short clips. Onto a short clip I added a subtitle object and put the main, kanji text in one of its lines (either "upper" or "lower"). Then added a new object for the furigana. Again, either the "upper" or "lower" works. The second object is necessary in order to adjust independently the font sizes and positions of the furigana and kanji. Worked great!

Next I loaded a copy of Netflix's Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories. To make the file more educationally useful, I want subtitles in furigana, kanji, and English, concurrently. Easy with this app! Easy, that is, if the 23-minute video would load into the editor. But it won't.

iMovie will load the entire show, so it's not an OS limitation.
Kennedymom,
Pretty good
The instructions are in Japanese, so I had to figure out how to do it myself, but once I learned how to use it everything worked out perfectly! 👍
Dotdotshoppe,
App is slow
5 minutes in to using the app. It was pretty self explanatory so I didn't even watch the tutorial but when adding each subtitle it takes you to a separate screen and when trying to save that subtitle the screen would just pause and take a long time to save and return to the video. I'm already deleting it because it will take way to long with this app.
Ladyblue0085,
Don’t waste your time!!!
This app was great when I added the subtitles, and it has ease-of-use interface.

The problem is: downloading your subtitled video back into your phone.
First: It will download with a watermark unless you buy the full version.
Second: After you buy the full version, it is now a new app so your video and work, does not transfer over.
Third: If you decide to download with the watermark, the video takes 5 minutes to download 1% - I swear that I am not kidding, not even a bit!
Fourth: After waiting 5 hours+ for the video to finally get to 50%, the whole app crashed. No more video, or subtitles, nothing!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
DBL-Trouble,
Great tool!
I love using this app! It works beautifully, and the only thing I would request is the ability to move text during the video (like a motion tween).
LAAM⭐️,
Amazing!!!
I love love LOVE this app. Very easy to edit subtitles and so many exact option that’s perfect! I will definitely get an A in my class project using this. :)
Munstercookie,
Didn’t even work correctly?
I couldn’t change the size or the place of the subtitles even though I should... the directions are all in a different language, and it was an overall bad experience with this application...
YouBetterShutUp,
straight bs
wow. cool app. can you explain to me though, WHY after spending about an hour making subtitles for my short film, that absolutely NONE of them show up after I save it to my photos? if i could rate this app negative stars, i would.
