Hardware is nice / App needs some work
Giving app a very generous 2 star rating. One of my biggest frustrations is that once I set the clubs up in app (type/degree), it loses all this once syncing. I’ve tried it multiple times. When I’m at range, I keep a piece of paper with loft angles of my clubs so I can set properly. Wish it stored total distance on app as well as carry. Expansion of size onto iPad would be so nice instead of putting reading glasses on for phone. After spending $500 on a very nice device, I would think that the app to support would be much better. Hope there is a full court press on getting this app up to par. Doesn’t seem like the common complaints folks are having would be that difficult to fix. Just trying to provide productive criticism. Thanks

SC4 app review
I recently purchased an SC4 and have been utilizing this app. I was initially concerned, due to the low rating. That said, I have used it several times with my SC4 and have enjoyed using it. The interface is clean and easy to use. The video capture is super easy and works well. The playback of the videos has all the data and is sorted for each swing.
I was able to setup “my bag” fairly easily, while not all of my club brands were listed it was easy enough to put the brand in the nickname.
Thus, far the SC4 has been great and the app is continuing to be updated. I have been very please and look forward to the additional updates.

Why did I buy the Swing Caddie
So I bought the Swing Caddie 300 anticipating being able to see all the data from it through the app. I was concerned about the low rating on the app but what I saw I could use. So I fired up the device and it connected to the app write away. It said it was going to update the device software, sounds fine. Well when I tried to sign into the device the next time, it saw the device via the Bluetooth connection but it wouldn’t link in anymore. I tried several time and finally called the help desk. He said I was one of several calls he got and he forward the problem to app support. I’m still waiting for the fix, that you think would get top priority. So all I see is my current shot when it’s recording it, what good is that. As I’ve seen in other comments, I give it no stars if it was an option.

Update is Absolutely Terrible
I purchased this unit last year and downloaded the app and the first time it worked flawlessly up until this year when the new version 2 app came out now like everyone else the monitor works but you cannot sync any of the data to the app. Until these issues are resolved how about giving us the option to use the older app that did work.
Get rid of those generic clubs they just are a nuisance because you can’t delete them unless you enter an equivalent club. The date won’t go past March 2021 and in the latest update the word Practice is misspelled.
Why would you release this app when it’s so full of flaws? Spending almost $500 on this and advertising about keeping track of stats this new version looks like it was written by some kid in his moms basement and not tested. It’s embarrassing. FIX THIS APP ASAP!

Cool tool but the app is garbage
I never understand why the machinery can be so good but the app development, which is critical to the user experience, is such garbage. I have a treadmill that is just like this.
A few things: you can’t export the data, it really only “fits” on your phone (iPad functionality is retrofitted for the screen size - looks horrible), only supports portrait mode, doesn’t store total yards stats (only carry); when you remove specific shots from the data, the averages do not change or update ... I mean, come on, it’s 2020. These are easy fixes.
I still love the device and the spin rate information is invaluable ... and I make do with the app, but it’s an expensive toy to not have an equally impressive app to go along. You’ll have to come to emotional terms with this.

Hardware AWESOME/APP needs work
I love the hardware of the SC300i. It has been very helpful and pretty accurate. The app is ok. I haven’t had any issues with changing loft and both the SC and app syncing. My main issue is that when you review a video (super nice feature) there is no way to go back to the main screen in the app. You have to swipe up and close the app then go back in. This is really cumbersome and it needs a back button or something. Sometimes when I delete a video the app crashes. If the app experience were better the entire experience with using the swing caddy would be amazing but it makes it frustrating sometimes which is disappointing.

Pretty Cool App
The last update helped a little bit but when I go to my clubs to delete the ones I don’t have, it won’t let me, like the delete button doesn’t work. Also if I try to edit a club I can get brand then brand name then loft and lie angle, but when I try to save it, it says I need a nickname and then I click on a nickname and the app says “you can’t edit this in edit mode” I think it’s probably a bug but you shouldn’t have to nickname your clubs if you don’t want too.
Next I noticed the the calendars for all my shots were off by a month like it would say February at the top but show the number of days for January. With that I’m in the process of clearing out all my stats so I can start fresh because I’m working a new swing that’s giving me more distance and I wanted to not have my previous stats affected by the new ones.
Lastly I love the idea and new concept for the app, it looks great and new, just got to get some of the bugs out first! Also maybe more consistent little updates to the app might help!

Login and other issues
Software is the least intuitive for navigation I have ever used. Recent bug “fixes” seem only to make things worse instead of better. I found that to log in after update (if you already have an account) you need to select one of the three buttons at bottom. Google, Facebook, or Apple and then enter your corresponding account password each and every time opening. At least that’s how IOS works. But, the fun doesn’t stop there! When using, now the unit has a tendency to default (mid session) on its own to W1 even while hitting the same iron for the whole session. And doesn’t record all shots. I like the hardware but the software, not so much. Needs major rework.

Stellar use of Doppler completely trashed by simple app issue
Of course there is a chance I’m missing something but I think spending $500+ dollars earns me the right to write this review.
The “Generic Wood/Iron/PW etc” clubs cannot be deleted and it’s skewing all of the data without a ridiculous amount of micromanaging the app during practice. Aka delete that lovey 5W fade I just hit because it’s been associated with the generic club and not the actual club I play with.
Right now the best solution is to “favorite” the clubs I added and “unfavorite” the generics… and STILL grab my phone and make sure that last shot was for the club I wanted…Come on…
During practice mode if I select 1W (either manually or with the remote) and hit, then select PW, and hit… I should reasonably expect to open/sync the app and see data updates for MY clubs, not data for the undelete-able generic 1W and PW.
Due to this VERY fixable app issue pending the next update, I plan to strongly recommend someone just buying a range finder and a notepad because at this point that’s better to use during practice and reference on the course.

Bad app!
The swing caddie works pretty good - but misses a few shots here and there - but overall it should help improve your golf game. Now this app is one of the worst I have ever seen. First it requires like a 14 character password! Really - national security at stake here??? Today I hit about 150 balls on the range and this app recorded the first 7 swings! Who knows why? It would be nice to look at practice session stats - that is part of the purpose of the app - but it just doesn’t work! I tried to delete a few previous practice sessions - but the app would not let me. Then it kicked me out of the app - and asked me for the 14 character password. What a joke!!! I doubt if I will turn on this app before a practice session - I will just look at the swing caddie after each swing.
