Loftis99,
Good app but has issues
I really enjoy the access this app gives me to my medical information, my doctors, and paying my bills. What is increasingly frustrating is when the app shuts down in the middle of me typing out a message to my doctor. It has happened to me multiple times. I am guessing that it times out even though I am in the middle of using the app. It is ridiculously frustrating.
Please fix the timing out issue and make it so that typing out a message is considered using the app. Thanks.
Jboe1,
Overall good
Overall good but as usual there is always an opportunity for fine turning.
Being covered under Medicare and Tricare I should rarely see any outstanding balances. If I do a call to billing customer service is required. If a representative and myself resolve the issue of outstanding balance due to a inconsistency in processing that should clear the outstanding balance.
If however the outstanding balances remain in self pay an exception report should automatically be generated and the issue should be automatically addressed as a mistake that should be addressed without me and the customer service representative making another call to cover the same issue in the same way because obviously the problem is not with the customer or the representative. At the end of the initial conversation the question is asked, did I resolve your issue and is there anything else you need. “ if it wasn’t resolved and the same problem resurfaces IT WASNT RESOLVED.

This duplicity takes time to reaccomplish and takes time and costs money.

Info for pt’s travelling
First let me say that I’ve always spoken to such kind and compassionate employees at both both medical centers. I’ve had one experience that was a statement I found ignorant and bothersome 😠coming from a medical professional.

The problem is that I have to travel to you appx 80+ miles after taking my preparation for a colonoscopy/endoscopy having to stop along the way with all of the side affects of drinking the solution prior to the procedure. I find it close to unbearable. Renting a hotel/ motel simplifies the process and less painful. The accommodations have me spending money I don’t have AND told I get ”no” or $20 if any discount is available. Getting assistance would simplify my NEEDED procedure. FYI I am disabled and my back hurts everyday making travel extremely difficult.
Thank you for your all of your GI center team for their hard work.

Constant issues with app
So I have constant issues with logging into the application as well as issues inside the application. So first with logging in I have to enter in my log in stuff/ put the passcode in a varying amount every time I log in. Sometimes first go sometimes other times up to 6 tries really annoying. Then when I actually get in the application sometimes the screen is moved up like an inch, which is horrible because then I can’t see my doctors I need to message or the notifications fully when I log in. Then I have to go back trying to log in to fix the issue hoping it doesn’t just repeat again... I also experience problems with random shut downs of the app not super often but yes it does happen.

So overall I love the idea of this app and the convenience of being able to message my doctors as well as get information easily, BUT that is after all the time spent trying to finally be able to access the app properly both outside and in.
BookwormG,
Looking forward to improvements
I’m one of the first patients to have used the original program which this replaced. I liked that I could track my lab results over time and see the data presented numerically as well as in graph form on the other program, and do not see that option, yet on this new program. I was irritated, too, that the message from my doctor, which informed me I had new lab results and came with a link to directly access those results, does not work. When you tap the link, you get an error message saying you can’t open the link. I assume that it eventually Will work. So far, navigating between the features is ok...a little different, but intuitive. I’m reasonably certain there will be more features added, and I’m looking forward to them.

MyChart UCSD
Without much medical history in the past, I landed myself in the local hospital (which wasn’t equipped to handle what was happening) so I was transferred to UCSD La Jolla and was lucky enough to be placed into the hands of a renowned doctor….now, using MyChart, it is easy to reach out for medication refills, set up doctor visits, even have “video visits” for some of the appointments (which is a blessing, considering traffic in San Diego - and my living nearly an hour away)….it also provides information as to what tests may be needed, and any other messages - and it is monitored by both the doctor and her head nurse - so response time is very quick. Great asset to have!

Services and Scheduling Appointments
Excellent service when you actually see a Dr and receive feedback thru MyChart. Ver efficient.
However, very frustrating when you need to see a new Dr and appointments are 6 months for example internal medicine and for other Dr’s appointments are 3 months out.
Office recommends go to urgent care if you need to see a Dr right away. Not cost effective for overall instagram premiums.

Helpful but confusing
It is wonderful to have access to our medical information at the touch of a button but the app could use some improvement. My number one recommendation is to consolidate all the messages, letters, notices, comments into ONE section. I get a text saying there’s a response from my doctor about something and I’m opening all these different portals trying to find the note. It’s just confusing to have so many. Also wanted to change my payment method but couldn’t find a way to do that. So, great to have this access but looking forward to seeing improvements.

Lab history and message issues
While I think the app is overall a much easier platform to use, there are some issues that are new.

When trying to open a link from the messages, ie a new lab result, an error message pops up. This happens even on links that have worked previously. Finally, the inability to view lab history in table or graph format is a valuable feature that is noticeably missing.

Otherwise the app is great and I will continue to use it.
not letting me give review,
Just awful
This system is the worst application I have ever used. I have made several calls to a few departments including the technical department to improve it. My main complaint with this app is that it times you out or kicks you out of the system when trying to leave a message to providers! To add insult to this injury, it doesn’t save your message, it gets deleted . I don’t use it other than to read messages from providers.
They can sure take a lesson from a good system from the Veterans Department!! Their system is GREAT!!
