PHI is NOT secure. App doesn’t deliver on promised features.
Several serious issues. Probably most disturbing, is the security, or lack there of, of PHI. I had full access to PHI, and everything else of another behavioral health patient at BJC through this app. I could pull her profile up, just like I was pulling up my own. I brought this to the attention of, who I thought, were the appropriate authorities, but that was in march, and as of now, nearly August, I have yet to receive an explanation for exactly how this breach happened, now information about how my PHI was effected, no letter, no phone call… nothing. Furthermore, despite the attestation with ONC, being a certified HIT, and all that entails, the app offers very minimal information. There’s no way to communicate with your provider, care team, or customer support from the app. I can’t schedule/reschedule a doctors appointment, or even view upcoming appointments, request refills, see doctors notes from appointments, lab results, basically nothing. And I would thoroughly read the privacy policy, in terms of use. Whereby they hold them selves completely unaccountable for any foreseeable or unforeseeable issue that may arise. Amongst other perturbing rights/lack of responsibilities listed. May be a review will get a response. May be a letter to HHS, would be more appropriate…
