But when you begin to reduce meat consumption, it’s hard to measure your effort and balance your diet.
I know, I’ve been there.
No Meat Today makes tracking your meatless meals in a fun & simple way, whether you want to progressively adopt a vegan diet or find a flexitarian balance that suits you.
You will become the god of a universe with two planets: punch them to answer Naomi’s daily question “Did you eat meat today?”
Next time you want to indulge in a burger, you can look at your logs and decide if you can allow yourself a tender steak. I call that “asking my cow”, and it has helped me decide more than once.
Your universe hosts a single species: Daisy cows. They are named like that because they are attracted by one DAY of meatless meals.
The most friendly of them is your personal cowch, Naomi, as in Naomi’t Today, and she will accompany you on your journey to eat less meat.
Your green and peaceful “No” planet is naturally appealing to them, but you got to earn their trust by logging meatless meals.
Daisy cows are a wonderful species: they have the ability to fusion and evolve into higher forms of cows that you will discover along your journey.
• Log your meatless meals: just hit the "No" planet if you didn't have any meat, or the "Yes" planet if you did
• Gaze on your planet as it starts to attract cows, which happens each time you have one day worth of meals. Beware of scaring them!
• Fusion cows as your planet gets crowded and unlock more cows combos as you log more meals
• Have fun with the silly comments accompanying the habitual daily question: “Did you eat meat today?”
• Use your history to decide if your next meal should include meat or not
• Never forget to log your meals: ask for an evening reminder. If you don’t like notifications, just put the app on your home screen! I did both

Big design refresh!
## Cowsmetic
- The Meals list (accessible from the top-left button of the Today view) finally looks like what I imagined initially. It has a reading mode with a clean interface, and an editing mode that comes to life with animations when you tap on a given day.
- A more moderate and pleasant dose of color! Let's face it, I'd been a bit heavy-handed with the green. I've been using this update for several weeks now and I love it!

- In the meals history, meals are now sorted by their occasion. This way, Breakfast will always come before Lunch, even if you entered them in reverse order. It should help if you do like me and sometimes answer at the end of the day by going back in time.
- Made the app 5% smaller by... redesigning the Paywall. If you remember, I had started a big work in this sense, but this step needed a redesign to get rid of the very heavy images. Hopefully, this will also bring more of you to support me in exchange for superpowers !

This update is a new start with the possibility to record more information about your meals.
The difficulty was to keep the ultra fast and simple mode (\"yes/no\"), while proposing to go further when you want.
At the beginning, I thought I would simply propose to record the types of meat. But I quickly felt like being able to track fruits and vegetables from time to time because not all of them have the same effects on health or the environment.
I hope you enjoy this update as much as I do.

- Food Portions: keep track of the ingredients you've eaten. Whether you just want to keep track of the type of meat you ate, or keep a comprehensive record of what you eat, anything is possible!
- Ingredients Library: more than 300 food products to choose from, carefully organized and classified according to whether they contain meat or not
- Meal Occasions: specify when a meal happend - breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack
- Vegan Meals: specify when a meal is vegan. Your efforts will not go unnoticed.
- Fasting: make those meatless \"meals\" count too! You can even add a moon to quickly log them.
- Add notes and tags: remember the circumstances or the delights you ate

In the meantime, here's a little update to start the year on the right hoof. It introduces a new concept: collectible energies. These are groups of special energies that show up at random times. These are groups of special energies that manifest at random times. The forecast will tell you that an energy is present, but it won't reveal exactly which one.

- If the number of your responses/meals changed significantly each day (e.g. 50 one day, 20 the next, 70 the next), the app could no longer do its calculations (add missing days, attract cows, etc.). I had not imagined this use and the app was not ready to handle the resulting numbers . It should be better now. As always, just record a new meal and the system will self-correct. If you are one of the users who sometimes have more than 5 responses per day, I would like to talk with you to understand your usage please :)
- If you registered a meal for the day, before receiving the news of the day before, the cow you were about to attract was included in the headcount.Whether you understood that sentence or not, you can see why solving this bug might have been a headache. Thanks to the anonymous user who reported it!
- When using shortcuts, the view presented in response would sometimes crash

- Rounding errors could lead to unattributed cows. This is the remains of a previously fixed bug, but the fix could be ineffective if the number of meals per day was often different at the time.

Did you notice that we went from version 4.23 directly to version 2022.27? I changed my marketing version numbering scheme. I'll now be using the year and a number that will be incremented along the year. I believe that it's better for the app, for me, and thus for you as well. Farewell iOS14, this is your last update.
I'm sorry. I did my best to support iOS14 as long as I could, but it's becoming a hindrance to the development of the application.

Just what I wanted !
I have to say I LOVE THIS APP! This app gives you the ability to choose what you consider meat, provides you with info on what your diet is actually considered (since there are so many variations of vegetarian), the yearly fee is super cheap at only $5 if you choose to sign up for it - otherwise the free version is just as amazing (you can only log one full day of no meat rather than per meal on the free one). I reached out on Instagram to proclaim my love for this app and the creator replied and was super nice to speak with as well!
Definitely recommend this app- we can all do our part to reduce meat consumption and collect cute lil cows in the process !

I am going to give this app 5 stars even though I found one fault. im not certain if I couldn't find the option to change it. but if I don't log that I had no meat that day the app picks that I did in my history, and I lose cows. I lost my poor Cabernet that way. I only wish it could be left blank until I go back and log it. I am a total space cadet and just straight up forget to log some days. which leads to the sad loss of wonderful cows

Easy to use and affordable
It’s a really simple app to use but really effective. It helped me transition to fully vegetarian. It’s also very affordable, the free version works well for starting off but the subscription is cheaper than a lot of other apps

I really don’t want to disappoint Naomi, and the perfectly detailed and judgement free settings are fantastic! You can just cut out red meat or go vegan or anything in between. I’m starting at pescatarian 6 days a week, and I’m really looking forward to racking up meatless days!
