Not the Bee Hack 2.11 + Redeem Codes

I spend waaaaaay too much time on this app, but that is because it is so mind bogglingly awesome! It is not only a news app, but there is an entire social side for subscribers (and yes, there is a free trial version). It is filled with hilarious, fun, quirky folk who love memes, GIFs, debates about food and theology, and so much more. It is the most caring online community I’ve ever been a part of, and the developers are *very* responsive to any issues that come up. If you download this app, please don’t cheapen your experience by just reading the articles. Take the effort to at least check out the free trial that’s available and find out for yourself how amazing it is. Who knows? You may even get to meet some cool people!

Most people that download this app probably love the content already. I’m here to talk about the app itself:

Layout is fine, but navigation is a little tough some times. My wishlist of changes would include a sort option, easier transition to “next” article, and general navigation improvements.

My biggest issue with your app is the ads. They often force the page to adjust spacing, causing the page to “jump” and making it difficult to read the article. Sometimes certain ads will make the page reload. This is especially bad when there are imbedded tweets, which also reload, and the page goes nuts. I understand you are involved in journalism as a way to make a living and ads are necessary, but please work with your advertising group to make sure the ads don’t interfere with use of your app.

This app quickly replaced my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even Reddit apps. I check it every day in my spare time for the latest crazy, funny, interesting, and insane news stories of the moment.

My only complaint is directed to the developers of the app: please make it smoother! I get that you have to include a ton of ads in the app but at least make it so they don’t keep messing up where I’m at in an article as I’m scrolling so I have to find where I was again. In some cases, the entire screen will go blank and I have to reload the page to get back to the article. I’ve even had it happen mid-video, very annoying.

This community is by far the greatest community I’ve been a part of online.. and I’ve been online since 1998! There’s fun, there’s laughter, there’s cordial discussions, not to mention jest battles of anything you can imagine. If you have a hobby or an interest, there’s a group for it. If you need support, you’ll be flooded with love and prayer. If you love to argue over whether pineapple on pizza should exist or not, this is your place. With all that’s going on in the world right now, this place has softened my tension and broadened my circle. I love Not the Bee. You will too. 🐝💕

This app is a great app- one that I go to multiple times a day for news, especially for stories I might not find elsewhere.

My only point of contention is that the ads seem to mess up the articles- to the point now today that I can’t even finish an article because the ad keeps flipping off and on, or appears then disappears then appears again, which constantly moves me up or down the text of the story while reading and scrolling.

I definitely appreciate the content you bring to the end user and the ability to get it from an app. Fixing the issue mentioned above would allow me ti add that final star to an otherwise great product.

The unique twist is that most of the stories at NTB are in fact real news stories that seem as though they could be satirical.

Articles are a broad mix of serious and silly topics - all written in a witty, interesting format (often combining gifs and memes to emphasize the author’s expression).

In addition to being a fun place to snag some offbeat news, subscription NTB membership comes with access to a rapidly growing social media community. Fun features include the ability to add friends or simply follow another (this distinction can be used to hide/show aspects of personal info), post gifs/pics/memes, create polls and add or join unique groups (similar to other popular popular platforms).

This app makes reading headlines and sorting through social media notifications simple and painless. Well done NTB.

NotTheBee is the most incredible news source this side of the original Pennsylvania Gazette. Their satirical but truthful approach to both political and everyday news brightens my day and informs in all aspects of life as a human being. They continue to be an unbiased news source that provides both hilarious and informational commentary regarding all political stances. If you don’t give NotTheBee a try you can’t truly say you are open minded to others ideas and methods.

Congrats NotTheBee, You have perfected the online news format.

I absolutely love NotTheBee, they have the most honest news and even funny highlights. The only issue I have is with the interface.
Nearly every time I open an article and start to scroll down, it refreshes and snaps back to the top of the article. I wait a little bit and scroll down again only for it to do the same thing! It does this 3 times usually while I tru to read an article. Maybe this is specific to my device, I'm on an Iphone 7.
Please fix this bug and keep up the good reporting!
Also, could you allow us to at least see the comments without a subscription? I get not allowing us to post without paying but it would be nice to hear what others think.

I have been a paid subscriber for 6 weeks. This place is amazing and I love it! The app functionality is so fun, they change things up, and it’s like a big online party. I have made fast friends with a lot of people and I love the ad free experience. There is even a social podcast to get to know others on the site. 10 stars!

NTB delivers a splattering of news stories accompanied by — sometimes a lot — and sometimes a little commentary. Commentary that makes me feel less alone when consuming the everyday and the unbelievable. The clowns are clearly in charge but NTB helps us know that somewhere out there on the interwebs we have a reliable voice and that voice is most certainly Not The Bee.
