All in for ON1!
ON1 Photo Mobile far exceeded my expectations. I love the flexibility it offers by allowing me to capture and access my raw photos with just a few clicks on my mobile device. Any changes made within the app sync directly with my desktop program via ON1 360, so I can view my library in real time when I want and how I want. Love this app and I can undoubtedly say I’m still all in for ON1!

Good editor, poor organizer
The app delivers on its promise to bring the ON1 editing engine to mobile and iPad, but that’s the extent of the good news. The overall UI needs work and the way photos are organized is poor. Unless I missed something, libraries cannot be sorted, there is no search function, and meta data editing is absent. There is no way I’d want “all my photos with me” because there’s no way to reasonably find specific ones like I can in Lightroom or Mylio.
I also found the sync engine a bit slow, but that could be launch pains.
If your goal is to sync with ON1 Photo Raw and manage a limited number of photos (or you photos are managed as projects), this definitely could work for you. If your photos are more random or you use searches to surface memories, this isn’t going to be your solution.

An OK Start
I was pretty excited about this app, but compared to Lightroom mobile it is fairly primitive. The filters that are available are minimal, although I understand more will be added by this fall, as well as the ability to make local adjustments. I initially had some connectivity issues related to the inability of ON1 360 to recognize my account, which seem to have been resolved by ON1’s tech supported. But I am not thrilled with the interface on my iPad, and I am having a problem with a black box that sometimes obscures part of the photo that I am working on. It’s maybe not fair to compare this app with Lightroom’s more mature product, but I don’t think I will continue with ON1 until they add more features and work out some of the kinks.

So Slow
I’m using this app on a 12.9” iPad Pro (4th gen) with iOS 15.7. I rebooted my iPad multiple times just to make sure it was the app. Everything about this app is super sluggish. Despite the poor performance, I force myself to edit a dozen RAW files from my FujiFilm camera. It was painful to say the least.
Many times I waited for 30 seconds or more the app to respond. There were plenty of times I waited for nothing to happen as the app did not register the edits. When the app did respond and work properly, I liked the output. Unfortunately that was well below 50% of the time. I do not have the desktop app to compare features.
Saving / Exporting creates a new file every time. This is the opposite of all other editors. It does not support non-destructive edits.
This app seems more of a checkbox for the company than a real RAW editor. The performance problems along with the crashes really don’t warrant the purchase or subscription of this app at this time.

It’s great but sometimes it crashes
It is a great tool and I use it very often, however, sometimes it crashes and you have to start again. Very good concept. They should unlock the premium features, I already bought the software and upgrade it yearly. I use the PC software and it’s the best.

I never write reviews but this app is amazing I just have to give them props, it is simple and straight to the point. I have been using ON1 desktop application for many years, FINALLY a mobile version is here! I look forward to the evolution and I can’t wait until local adjustments are added.

Just Keeps Getting Better
I love this app, it’s so simple to use and gives me the ability to shoot RAW images directly from my phone. With ON1 360, I can select an image on my computer to sync and it will show up on my phone like magic. It’s awesome.

Unusable due to constant crashes on iPad Pro
I want to like this app, but it constantly crashes on my iPad Pro 12.9”. Running the latest iPadOS 15.7. Deleted and reinstalled twice and nothing prevents the crashes. Crashes on .jpgs, DNG, raw from all different cameras. Can’t seem to find any other ways to keep it stable other than waiting on OnOne to fix the crashing bug. I don’t have this issue on the iPhone version. And the desktop app seems solid. It’s just the iPad version that seems a mess and unfortunately not useable.

Wonderful concept
There is so much promise with this app. I’ve been with ON1 for many years. Every release of their products is better than their next. I hope this is the case with future releases of the mobile companion. Unfortunately the app crashes way too often with no recovery of work on the photo I am working, causing me to start over.

Nice try, but unstable
When it starts crashing, it gets in the habit. Instant crash, nothing saved, start over. It does not remember your mask settings, so you have to readjust those, too.
Other annoyances: no pressure sensitivity on a ipad! Erase mask brush same as main brush, so you need to readjust to trim down your mask.
On the fantastic side, it can “see” images on an SD card before you import them. Seems to run faster than on1 Photo Mac (but it crashes WAY more!
