Long live the flywheel! Calling its demise was a bit premature ;). We missed an important use case for the flywheel and thank you to our customers for letting us know of its importance. The best part - you get the best of both worlds with this update. You can swipe anywhere on the screen to scrub the video OR use the flywheel if that's your preferred tool.
In addition to reintroducing the flywheel, you get 1.5x and 2x speeds in the slow motion selector!

Its a relic of the past and no longer relevant in a touch-enabled world with large device screen sizes. Now you can just swipe with one finger anywhere on the screen to get buttery smooth frame by frame action!
- We have added frame forward and backward buttons that will allow you to more precisely advance/rewind the video.
- New loop button in the video player allowing you to loop the playback endlessly.
- Now you can select an explicit slow motion speed instead of having to toggle through the different options one-by-one.
- In comparison mode, each video now gets its own dedicated playback and slow motion speed controls. Customize the playback as your heart desires.
Other improvements:

- Team coaches can now bulk invite their athletes! When adding a member, select the bulk invite option and either write out your case-sensitive code on your whiteboard or send out the invite link to your athletes by email/sms/etc.
- When comparing two auto-detected golf swings, the app will automatically sync the two videos to the point of impact. This is a nice workflow optimization for users that use OnForm's auto detect feature.

- Videos pending upload can now be prioritized. This is super handy when you have a video that you want to share but its stuck behind some others awaiting upload. To access this feature, simply long press on a video and select the "Prioritize Upload" option in the resulting menu. Similarly, we have a "De-prioritize Upload" option if you want to delay the upload of a particular video so that others in the queue get higher priority.

The developers keep upgrading and improving the product, so your experience and your capabilities are constantly growing. They know their product and their users and are passionate about helping coaches get the job done easily and effectively. None of the products out there can hold a candle to it. This is an amazing app in so many ways. I have been a professional analyst for high performance swimming over the past 35 years First the video is high-quality HD and the analysis tools are excellent, user-friendly and accurate. What I love most about it is the video and file sharing. It’s a powerful and easy to use content delivery system, which allows you to combine videos to create original content for your audience and deliver it in seconds. The unique communication system is beyond anything I have experienced for sports analysis. I love the private messaging and broadcast lists features. The support team is easy to get a hold of, innovative, and only too glad to help. Get this app - it will totally change your ability to connect, provide insightful feedback and develop your athletes. Quentin Patterson
One of the most knowledgeable and creative and down to earth instructors in the golf industry. The unique ability to scale instruction to each student is intuitive and makes students want to try harder to complete tasks. Personable and patient and accessible with teaching methods that breakdown the complexity’s of the golf swing into digestible and attainable goals, provided the student can put in the time. Quentin is a gift to the game and to me and as the saying goes “ when the student is ready the teacher will appear” Quentin appeared for me long before I was ready. His teaching style and then my eventual commitment to the process have made this difficult game so much more enjoyable. I now understand why professionals all have swing coaches. Decent but some annoyances
I started using OnForm as a previous Hudl user. Getting onboarded to using OnForm was okay, but the navigation was confusing at first. It is weird that you have to go into Library of videos, from the Home screen, to simply start recording a new video. Seems like an unnecessary step. I like the way the app automatically optimizes the camera settings to the specific lighting in which you are filming. But, the biggest negative to the app, is the flywheel. It’s a major downgrade from Hudl. In order to replay your videos frame-by-frame, you use the flywheel to scroll. But if your finger lets off the flywheel for just a moment, the flywheel disengages, the drawing button engages, and you have to move scroll with your finger again to-reengage the flywheel. It’s annoying because I am often watching videos closely and exclusively using the flywheel to make the video progress, amd I keep having to “recapture” the flywheel to make it engage again. You have so much space on your phone to scroll, so by the time I get the flywheel responding to my scrolling, I have to let off to reposition. It’s just not very gold for people who don’t use the “play” function to play the video and instead want to use the fly wheel so they can constantly go forwards and backwards as the need to as they watch the replay.

An expensive and disappointing downgrade
Hudl was a great all sports analysis app that allow organization by tags and people. As a figure skating coach, being able to quickly pull up an element I’m teaching a student was key. OnForm is five steps in wrong direction. For one it seems very golf specific, the layout is extremely clunky with massive amounts of wasted space, and “features” that I (and I’m sure many others) find completely unnecessary. Not everything needs a voice over and not everyone needs to be connected and shared. Some of us just want have a collection of reference videos that we can quickly pull up and access. It’s quite disappointing because Hudl was a great app that did just that. Instead of gutting Hudl, I feel the developers should have actually talked to coaches from across different sports to find out how they use the app. Instead it feels like a group of tech guys who like to play golf got together and haphazardly through together an app that would only be specific to their needs. Oh and the pricing is ridiculous.
Customer service was quick to reply and very polite. I felt like they tried to be helpful in offering time to explore the app but I was also left with a feeling that my concerns about functionality were going to be addressed at all.

Downgrade
App wont let me downgrade from coach. Only an upgrade is available. Imagine that! Developer response: “You can cancel anytime and doesn’t understand my issue.” Well, that response is like saying we don’t give a rats a.. what you think so just cancel and delete. I’m seriously considering, BUT.. I’ll explain. When I transferred over from hudl The app asked me to choose my status as just a player or coach. It didn’t say there are six different options to choose from that will affect your monthly subscription. I’m not an official coach, but I do use the app to help out my fellow golfing buddies so I chose coach. Now that I’m in I see that the cost of coach level access is $30 a month compared to $5 for a player. I wanted to downgrade from coach to player (personal, as they call it), but there is no option for this. Besides 5 bucks a months is a bit steep for an app that I will only use at most maybe three times a year.

Ok, now that I was able to cancel I found where I could change my subscription. No biggy. I just never pay for apps or subscriptions.

Best All-in-one APP for Golf Coaches!!
Since using OnForm my life as a golf coach has become much simpler. I no longer have to spend time in my camera roll organizing photos with each student having all of their videos, documents, photos, etc. all stored within the OnForm app under their name. Also, I do nit have to go through my emails and/or text messages to find communications between me, their mental coach, physical coach, parent, the student, etc. All communications are stored with the students name. Just these two features alone have saved me hours!
I was worried about the time it would take to switch to a new app. But once I saw that you can mass import everything right into a players name, I was relieved.
This app has tons and tons of cool features! One of my favorites is the ability to have my iPhone set up on a tripod and using their auto capture feature, I can show the student their swing on my iPad within a very short period of time. This feature alone costs thousands with other apps after you buy the cameras and computer.
I could go on and on but to wrap it all up, all of your photos, videos, documents, messages, emails, etc. stored under your students name are stored on the apps cloud. Unbelievable!

Seeing is believing
I had taken a lesson and the pro took a couple of videos of me. They were the before and after pictures and he told me what I had to change. I heard about OnForm and decided to download it and subscribe. Bought a $15 dollar tripod from WM. Now I video myself, put reference lines on my video and compare it to their reference library of tour players. Besides perfecting what my pro told me, I did notice an early extension problem which I can work on. I just hit pg balls from a mat in my back yard and that’s all I need. Did shoot a 35 for nine holes, haven’t done that in 20 years. OnForm is the only way to go for positive improvement for your game. Steve F

Cool, but frustrating
So much cool collaboration and ‘diagnosing’ that can be done, and that part I give 5 stars! However, the directions for use, at least for the student, are sorely lacking (or if they actually exist, they’re well hidden!). I’m not a software neophyte, and can usually intuit how to use something new. When it was apparent that I could get some of it, but critical pieces were missing, I went to the tutorials….not very helpful. A true Users manual or tutorial of the simple stuff - I.e. precisely, step by step, how does one upload a video so the instructor and/or group members can see it - would be helpful. And when one has followed the instructions that do exist, and it still doesn’t work, some troubleshooting resource would be great! This part, for now anyway, I give a 1 star. I’d like to give more, but right now, I’m too frustrated!!

Forces Subscription
Another disgruntled user coming from hudl here. As to the app functionality per se there are pros and cons compared to hudl.
However, the most frustrating part is forcing a subscription to allow you import/take more than 10 videos. I get the subscription if I were to upload and share it with others and use other online tools, which requires setting up and maintaining a server on Onform’s end. But just to pay $5/month to store on my own device or even apples iCloud is really a hard sell.
I’d be glad to pay a one time fee since developers aren’t doing charity work. And subscriptions are fine as well if I do find the need to use the online/sharing functionalities, etc. However, at the current state, I’ll either have to find another app or just hope future iOS updates continue supporting hudl.

Great app for reviewing your golf swing
This app is very easy to operate and I particularly like the automatic recording. All you have to do is set it up, then walk over and get yourself set up over the ball & swing. After you swing it says “swing detected how did it go?”. You give a comment and wait a few seconds and it will save. And then wait a few seconds more get set up and swing again.
I typically record four or five swings in this fashion then stop, review and trim the recordings. I can also add for edit tags like a Club used and the result. The description which was recorded can also be edited.
I recommend this app.
