Sparrow - Golf Hack 1.6.14 + Redeem Codes

Tried Sparrow earlier this year. First app that actually analyses and learns from your swing. Great to get step by step analysis of my swing and then recommendations on how to correct. I also liked the comparison to a PRO feature to not only see where your swing is off but to have a side by side view of a Pro swing.

I can see this as an augment to lessons since you can use this app every time you practice e as well as during a round and then review with you teaching Pro.

It’s like having a teaching Pro with you at all times.

The app was giving me good tips that I could see immediate results, but this comes with the downsides as well. The tips the app gives are great, unfortunately they might not apply to your swing in that particular instance. I tested this by swinging normally and then swinging like a clown. My normal swing on average rated an 8.7 while the “clown” swing averaged around 7.4 . The problem is, my normal swing is very consistent (5 index, been playing 10+ years), but the app would score the same swing a 10 and a 5 on different occasions. Some of the “clown” swings were scored higher than my normal swing. What I noticed is the AI would compare your posture, shaft, and club head to pros, but it would not line up the timing correctly each swing. I would be at the top of my backswing, and the app is comparing me to a pro who is 1/3 of the way up their backswing resulting in a very low scoring swing. This timing issue results in fairly inconsistent results. That being said, this app still does provide good insights and tips for your game it’s just up to you to know when and how to apply them.

Several reviews state the app crashes too often so I was hesitant. I took a chance with the free week trial and am I impressed. It did crash on me once during my range session, but it’s 100 degrees outside so maybe the heat had something to do with it. All I can say is I had the best range session in years. The feedback was so helpful, and my swing looked 100% better. I’ve been playing for 20 years and spent thousands on lessons. If you’re a super analytical person like me, you’re going to love this app.

I’ve had the app for about 6 months. Definitely helpful. First few months it was really difficult to get the app to accept my position when ready to hit. Haven’t used it in a while. Tried again today and it worked perfectly. Feedback is spot on. Falling back into bad habits and it immediately picked up. Helps a good bit if you’re patient and practice.

From the first few swings it captured, I was able to assess and quickly adjust my swing to the point I was on plane and making center-of-the-face contact consistently. That said, the app probably captured 20% of my swings, continuously crashed, and there are no ‘guidelines’ or help section on how to optimize capturing swings. There seems to be a lot of potential with this app, but I don’t think it’s worth full price for it…yet. I really hope they continue to update and improve the functionality.

I’ve been using the app for two weeks now and although have given me some good tips for my swing the rating system is kind of odd. The automatic recording thing is too sensitive and counts the waggle of your club like an actual swing which is a pain as it feels your 5 swings quota. Th face on swing recording is not the best especially for driver. It would be good also if you could upload videos previously save (for example in an actual round of golf) and analyze it. It’s an ok app but there are some better apps , I won’t be renewing.

I’m I am enjoying using this app to record my video swings. The automatic swing feature is great. I would love if they had a few more features such as saving the video to my camera roll and being able to share my video at full speed. I would also like it to have options to watch the video playback at different speeds, such as 1/4,1/2,full or loop. have speed full speed. These features are part of some other golf apps that I use.

I literally never write reviews for anything. Today being the first time I’ve used this app, I just had to write one. Being a very avid golfer it’s easy to get back into old habits without even realizing it. This showed me exactly what I was doing incorrectly and told me how to fix it. Instant feedback for a better swing. Just get it, NOW.

Overall this is a very useful tool. However, if you’re swinging with your garage door as your background then the app consistently picks up on the garage door slats as the club head. Need to be able to edit where the club head is actually at to always get an accurate rating on your swing. Could also use a comment button so that I don’t have to make a review to say this.

Very cool to be able to get swing feedback so easily. The app has drills and other suggestions for fixing ailments of your particular swing, also cool. Took of a star only because the app seems to think my iPhone 14 pro max is a lower model than the 11. When I try to use certain features I get a message saying “requires iPhone 11 or newer.” Would love to be able to make full use of the features with my new phone.
