Best Pick-Up Sports App By Far
I started using Open Sports three years ago for my pick-up basketball group and I’ve been thrilled with it since Day 1. My players and I have found it easy to use as a one-stop shop, and we do all of our registering, communication and payment through the app. Best of all, the customer service is AMAZING. Whenever I had something to figure out, the Open Sports help desk got back to me promptly and always gave me the info I needed in a kind, friendly way. The whole operation has a family feel to it. I would recommend the app to anyone who’s looking for a well-designed, sports-group management platform with powerful functionality and attentive staff.

So glad we switched!
We are a group of badminton players who were struggling to manage a rapidly growing club since we were using a popular but generic social meeting app which couldn’t provide us with sports-specific features. Since switching over to OpenSports, management has become so easy, members are happy with the fairness and automation that’s built in, and collecting payments has become a breeze. Kudos to the team for creating a very well thought out app and being so responsive and considerate with our feedback! Great team and execution!
There have been many sports related applications designed to bring people together, but Open Sports is one of the few that actually nails the execution and that is largely attributed to the feedback that the development team takes from its users. I have submitted several usability requests in the past which have actually been added. This is not something I can say for any other app I’ve used, sports or not. Highly recommended!

Great app for organizing sports events
I switched to OpenSports recently from another popular app . Opensports has many features which are specifically beneficial for sports organizers compared to generic event apps. Support from opensports is super. They are readily available to answer any questions and very adaptable to suggestions . When I suggested a feature they quickly incorporated into the app. The app is very user friendly . I highly recommend this app for organizing sports events.

Excellent App
This app is exactly what is needed to plan and execute sporting events seamlessly. Very intuitive and full of options to get you started quickly. Our soccer group of over 50 members uses it weekly to schedule games. The chat feature is extremely useful. The team behind the app is extremely responsive and very motivated to make it the best app out there. Highly recommended!!!

Helpful functionality, cumbersome design
Happy to have an app focused on organizing games, rather than relying upon generic social networking products. However, the app design leaves a lot to be desired. For example, none of the form text inputs have data validation, auto-fill support, or the ability to move focus to the next input; this makes filling out event registration forms cumbersome and repetitive. The app already knows my first name, I shouldn’t have to enter that same data each time I register for an event.

Way too glitchy. Freezes often.
What is a great alternative to other apps for setting up events is turning out to be a glitchy and frozen nightmare. Does Elsa live in a castle in the app because it freezes up way too often? This makes checking in attendees for an event problematic. I would expect professional programmers to address this issue with urgency as it seems to happening weekly now. Getting to the point of telling my employer to just make a decision, search for another app, and let it go. See what I just did?

THE sports app for Philadelphia
For some reason, the philadelphia volleyball community has totally converged on Opensports. Its very vibrant on this app! It is used to organize, recruit, and collect payments for over a dozen pick-up volleyball events every week. The developers even got in contact with our philly organizers. Amazing app and im glad its spreading!

Unable to Unlink CC and Account
First off, this is a fantastic sports app. I’ve used it for three years with no hiccups until I had to get a new phone.
Now the issue. If you sign into this app with 1 Facebook account, you CANNOT switch Facebook accounts. If you sign out, the app will prompt you to login with the exact same account. No way to switch accounts unless you wipe your phone. Yes I’ve tried deleting app data and iCloud caches.
Second issue. If you directly add a credit card to your account and try to remove it, it will not allow you to do so. The account now requires 1 card at all times. Very poor security flaw.
Third issue. I’ve reached out to support. No response.
This app has great execution, but flawed design. I’ll gladly fix this review if the above points are addressed.

Good app in general
No major complaints about the app. One issue that’s sort of annoying to me is the app indicates that I have a new notification, when go into the app there are no new notifications. I tried clearing all notifications, deleting and reinstalling, logging out/in. I don’t know how to clear it. Other than that the app works like it should.
