Great app for distilled wisdom for an optimized life
For the past several years, I’ve appreciated Brian Johnson’s incredible attitude, heroic spirit & ridiculously relentless production of distilled & synthesized wisdom & knowledge that is somehow related to becoming the best version of oneself. Depending upon your appetite for wisdom & spare time, you can listen or watch the very short daily “+1” wisdom nuggets/questions (1-3min), the medium length Philosopher Notes that summarize the key takeaways from one important book, and how they relate to the broader Optimize “canon.” If you have a bit more time & hunger, there are several classes that go deeper & wider into various Meta-Themes (E.g. Confidence 101, Energy 101, etc.), which connect the dots between a body of important thinkers, ranging widely across time & genre, from ancient philosophers, to cutting-edge neuroscience, and Harry Potter. I would never have the time to read this massive amount of original content, and am grateful that Brian and the Optimize team, have continued to delve deep into some of the most fecund Civilizational gold mines, and consistently deliver this precious “mettle” to my smart phone while I sleep, all for a monthly fee that’s cheaper than a movie ticket.

Empowering changemakers
I'm a huge fan of Brian Johnson & the amazing team at Heroic. I first became a paying subscriber to Optimize in 2015 and as soon as the Lifetime membership option was available (in January 2017), I signed up. I also joined Heroic as a founding investor (in March) and signed up for the annual membership on June 17th. Currently I'm in Class V of the Optimize Coach Training and loving ALL that we're learning.
The app delivers the curriculum seamlessly. The Master Class & 101 videos are easy to watch and there are even playlists that queue in advance, which makes moving through the information easy & efficient. I prefer reading the Philosopher's Notes and there are options for that too (video, audio, or text).
I also LOVE that Heroic is both a PBC & certified B Corporation as I created & love teaching a class where college students work on experiential learning consulting teams with businesses, helping them to become certified B Corporations.
I’ve devoted my career (and life) to educating & empowering students to become changemakers and I appreciate & admire that the team at Heroic & Optimize have goals are along those same lines -- though their vision is admirably far GREATER than mine… I just teach college students, they're truly changing the world at scale 🙂

Life Changing
This App has changed my life. The amount of real life application that I have pulled away from this is truly amazing. Every morning I listen to Optimize +1. I then go directly to my journal and write down my thought on the topic, write down what I learned yesterday during the day and then write down what I am grateful for. This usually take 7-10 min while I eat my morning breakfast. This routine has changed my life by allowing me to write down and be in the present moment with my thoughts. If things are well I make sure to celebrate, if things are not good then I can admit that and look to work on what needs adjusting/changing. The number of book recommendations that I have gotten from Optimize is really awesome. This app has been a game changer for me! Thank you Brian and The Optimize Team!

Best investment of my life
I’ve been a subscriber for several years now - it’s worth every penny! The app is where I watch/listen to most of the content, and the devs are constantly updating, working towards making this the best experience for their users.
There is a TON of material on here, even for non-subscribers, and I have consumed over 80% at this point. So much is being released that I know I’ll never get to all of it - and even if I do, there’s plenty of great stuff to revisit.
If you’re in the fence about joining, just try it out for free, and if you find your life improving even a little, I think you’ll be ASTONISHED by their full offering.

Central place for coaching growth
Coaching class V here, and Love the wisdom! Everything stacks in a cohesive system so it’s easy to digest, review, or jump in at any point. Moving from theory to practice to mastery is very straightforward (and stills takes work) but the path is laid out along with tools and exercises. I’m still getting used to navigating them on a practical level, so I occasionally redesign them for myself. Also getting pumped for the practical, future companion app Heroic. Optimize is really incredible though, there’s no way I’d be able to make this kind of focused, compounded growth and reflection with other systems or on my own. I appreciate you guys and all you have/ will/ currently do!

Amazing One of a Kind
This app is priceless, which can only be the reason he are giving it away for free?!? After A few weeks of using Optimize the best way I could describe it is "candy for the brain”, this app is just a constant barrage of thought provoking information that has the ability to alter perceptions and behaviors, if you let it. It blows my mind that someone could take thousands of years worth of information and package it in such an eloquent but simple way. Brian, you have done such a great job at synthesizing all of this great information. Kudos to you for creating something that will forever help people.

Great program, benefits become difficult to access
The optimize program is terrific, I really enjoy the philosophers notes and the ability to capture the highlights of so many books in such a short period of time.
There is one developing problem however. In the last six months I’ve listened to/read summaries of over 130 books. The process of selecting the next book is now too time-consuming. Looking at the list of books, there is no method for sorting by those that have been read or not read, so one is required to scroll endlessly through the list to find your next read. Further the app only loads so many in the list so there is a lag as you scroll. And the checkmark for the noting that a book has been read doesn’t appear in the list view, so the only way to verify that you’ve read a book from the list is either remember or click into book view.
Improving the book list filter is what I would deem to be a simple change that would make a huge difference in the functionality of the program.
I’ve requested by email that the developer consider this change and will update my review when the do.

This is my favorite app on my iPhone. Are there any plans to do an applewatch app? Not sure what it entails but it would be awesome to have access to the content through the Apple Watch and also the Apple car. I commute a lot and sometimes I wish there was a way to go through content through the Apple car instead of having to stop and select the next PN or +1

When one of my favorite friends told me about the Optimize platform, I knew that he would steer me in the right direction. The moment I opened the platform application, I immediately felt like I hit the jackpot.
