Take up too much space
The app size of OALECD 8e is only 1.26GB, but Oxford Eng-Chi Dictionaries is over 2.4GB. That’s why I don’t want to use this latest app. Why not make it smaller? That can be easily done by making it possible for users to delete unwanted dictionary data in this integrated app to free up space.

Best Chinese-English dictionary, Ever
Purchased a only version of this at a ridiculous high price several years ago but definitely worth the money. Best dict.
Not able to find that version of app on my iPhone13, only found this version with subscription. Even more expensive. But, become even better with multiple dictionaries in it. I will pay and keep using it. Keep improving!

I love this dictionary
I’ve been using this Oxford Advanced English Chinese Dictionary for many years. I like the examples. I like the search function. I like the pictures and illustrations. I like the voice too. It has been helping me a lot in learning English. Also, it doesn’t need to connect to the internet and so I can use it anywhere. I love it so much.

Can’t find my one time purchase OALECD 7e anymore
I got a new iPhone 12 and wanted to install OALECD 7e that I purchases before. Why did you remove it from the app store? Need to migrate to subscription-based business like everybody else? Sure, go ahead, but you need to refund my money back for the 7th. It’s like when you publish a new dictionary, you can’t burn down all your former customers’ older dictionaries to force them to pay you more. You people have no ethics!

Typeface change is highly recommended
I suggest the app developer to change the typeface of the dictionary to Times New Roman like that of Oxford English Dictionary(app) in order to improve readability. Times New Roman is easy to the eyes and aesthetically pleasing. The typeface is a fly in the ointment.

Too stupid
It can only recognise “present tense”. Words ending with “ed” or “ing” are very often not recognised, which make it inconvenient when copy and paste it from somewhere.

Please bring full-text search feature for phrases, idiom and example back.
Full-text search feature for phrases, idiom and example which is supported in the previous version does not work in this version. If the search key word does not match the entry, it will return NO MATCHES.

Why was flashcard function taken away? I remember using it for practicing words I marked as favorite and it was incredible. Any plan to bring it back?

Please release this app in Mainland China
Why not release this app in Mainland China? The current OALECD (9th Edition) developed by Shanghai Shangdi is sheer rubbish. It’s an impostor, and a disgrace to the name “Oxford”. Please take its place.
