Pace Watch doesn't use your phone or watches GPS and can be used without your phone.
Pace Watch helps you stay at your target pace while training for your next big run. If you start to go too fast or slow it will tap your wrist and play a tone every 5 seconds until you are back in your target zone.
Hints:
- Use the buffer setting to give yourself a little more leeway around your target pace.
- Only want the watch to tap you? Use the silence option in the control center on your watch to quiet the noise.
This app uses HealthKit to access some of your data in the Health app(workouts, distance, and active energy(Calories burned)) and to write new data into the Health app(workouts, distance, and active energy(Calories burned))

Jormigo,
Very useful and to the point
Have been looking for something like this for a while. The app is very easy to use and very user friendly. Fired it up for the first time and had a pretty good experience with it.
Bianco1,
I Don’t recommend it
If you have stumbled across this app. Pick yourself up and keep going.
This app was just what I was looking for except it doesn’t work with any other apps on your watch. And it hasn’t been up dated in 3 years. So my concerns will probably never be fixed.
Improvements this app needs.
1. is a special tone for when you’re running too fast and a different tone for when you’re running too slow
2. Play the stones in your headphones
3. Allow other apps to track you while this is going
